Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot In my first semester I have learned the ups and downs of college. Everything hit hard here, the teachers are nice in the classroom, but will cut you down when your final grades come about. The teachers do try there best to get you to understand the work, but the way they do it is not always fitting of ALL students present.
Am enjoying being here It's an all girls school. I thought I would be okay with this and I am, until some girl-based drama starts. This is a very common occurrence too. The campus is small and the campus events are mediocre at best. It's all very high school like with the maintaining of orientation-formed cliques and groups. I have jumped groups since I've been here. Once a drifter, always a drifter.
Bang for the buck There is a lot of money one puts into this college and most of its effects remain to be seen when it applies to the student personally.
Tips for prospective students Think again. If you like being taught by nice old nuns and don't mind the cramped quarters with other girls, go for it.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Notre dame provides students with not just a learning enviroment but a growing enviroment. With the wide diversity and experience of all the students and teachers, Notre dame will make sure you are never lost and never confused.
Tips for prospective students Make sure when your deciding what school you want to go to, ask your self if the environment of the school is right for you. When it comes to Notre dame we are a fairly small school in a area not surrounded by much. ( except Towson mall) so if your someone who likes the party environment, Notre dame probably wont be right for you.
Academic Rigor Along with their diversity if students, they also have a diversity of courses. That range from the education sector to the nursing and pharmacy sector. Whatever your career path may be, Notre dame most likely has.
Dorm Life The dorms are smaller than Towson, so if you plan to be in your dorm a lot you could have spatial issues. They also have communal showers so you will be sharing them with a floor of about 20-30 people which can be a hassle. But other than that when its quiet time, people respect your sleep and your privacy.
Food and Dining We only have 2 eating areas, which do seem to be high priced for the food they serve. The first place is a buffet which does carry a variety of foods from all over the worlds, in order to meet international students needs. The food is also healthy and well prepared by a catering company. However for the buffet you cant eat whenever you want, so if your a midnight eater you might wanna stack up on your own food.
Campus Safety The campus is one of the most safe ones i've heard of. There have been no problems with unwanted people entering or school or bullies of any kind. The enviroment is always quiet and calm, no matter if its in the morning or at night. But just for precaution they do have around the clock security that is there in case your feeling unsafe and will be more than happy to take you to your dorm.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Notre Dame is a beautiful, peaceful campus. A sense of community is felt which is why I chose Notre Dame. The academics are challenging, but the professors are there to help their students along the way and to help them receive an excellent education.
Tips for prospective students I stayed over night at Notre Dame to see how I liked the campus and also attended a few classes before I became a student. I would recommend scheduling a tour, staying for an over night, and shadowing classes to get a feel for Notre Dame.
Academic Rigor The academics are challenging at Notre Dame, but in a good way. I am a part of the Elizabeth Morrissy Honors Program which contains difficult classes. I have appreciated the work I have completed thus far because I have learned how to critically think and apply previous knowledge from one subject to another. Th professors challenge you, but they do so because they see your potential from the very beginning.
Dorm Life I am not a resident, but I will be one next year. I have stayed on campus before though and loved the experience. I did not have to worry about noisy neighbors while trying to do homework and then sleep. Every one tends to respect one another. It is nice being surrounded by all of your friends and being able to see them more often.
Food and Dining Notre Dame has two places to dine. I tend to go to Gator Alley which has delicious quesadillas and paninis. The main cafeteria has a waffle maker and omelette station for breakfast along with cereal, bagels, toast, etc. Ice cream is served all day. Lunch and dinner choices vary. There is always a sandwich and salad station. The food is generally good. I just prefer Gator Alley as a commuter.
What to do for fun There are many clubs and activities on campus. Movies are shown on the weekends. Many times there is bingo and other activities on the weekend as well. Downtown Baltimore is not far from Notre Dame. Towson is also close as well. There are many great restaurants and entertainment downtown. In Towson, there is a huge wall and also great places to eat.
Bang for the buck Notre Dame is HUGE on COMMUNITY!!!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Honors Convocation occurs at the beginning of each semester. It is for freshman and transfer students. Students wear the same cap and gown at convocation that they will wear at graduation. While wearing the cap and gown students take the honor pledge. There is a student and faculty Christmas dinner where the faculty serves the students dinner.
Great for these types of students Notre Dame is great for students who are eager to learn and want to receive an excellent education. The campus has a diverse group of students on campus and does not contain one specific group.
Clubs and Activities There are clubs for just about anything and everyone. All of the clubs are welcoming. Road scholars is an organization for commuter students for example, but residents are more than welcome to attend. Dances are held throughout the semester and students are welcome to bring friends.
Greek Life There is one sorority on campus called Omega Phi Alpha. However, it is a national service sorority not a social sorority. I am a current member and will be the treasurer next academic year. I love being a part of this sorority because I have met so many great people. I also have been able to complete service projects that make me feel like I have contributed to the betterment of the community.
Campus Safety There are campus security guards on campus ALL of the time! Whenever I am on campus I constantly see them patrolling around campus. They are friendly and are happy to help fix any concerns one may have.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences The College of Notre Dame is challenging.
It is also defining.
It is the best college for anyone hoping to make an impact, great or small, on society.Tips for prospective students For prospective students I would say to put their studies first. Do not let the glamor of college partying, or college boys, or anything not related to your studies take priority over them. Learn to make time for things you enjoy but don't let them supersede your education.
Academic Rigor College of Notre Dame has an extremely rigorous, no-nonsense academic courses. They challenge students to step up to a plate that I never even imagined, much less thought I could achieve.
Dorm Life Relatively quiet.
Food and Dining Expensive and not the best tasting. I applaud the kitchen staff for the hard work they put into feeding us but I am not a fan of the dishes themselves.
What to do for fun The Towson Mall is a short ride away and anyone can get on the Collegetown Shuttle and head down to the Inner Harbor.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Excellent program options for students from all backgrounds, gender, age, and diversities. They believe in discussion based learning instead of lecture based learning. There are many class options available, but most of them are at the main campus.
Tips for prospective students Talk to an advisor about your degree program in it's entirety before enrolling. Check the past two classes available along with locations before committing to ensure the classes are in a location of your choice.
Academic Rigor Academics are excellent at this college. I believe I am learning more than at any other school.
Food and Dining Food is available for residents more easily than for off-campus students.
What to do for fun Since the college is just a short distance from downtown Baltimore (Inner Harbor), and Fells Point, there is never a lack of entertainment, food, and fun. The metro system can take you wherever you want to go at a reasonable fee.
Campus Safety As a student taking night classes and living off-campus, sometimes leaving classes is a little uncomfortable since there is not a lot of lighting in all areas. There is plenty in the main areas and main parking, but the other parking and sidewalks can be a little disconcerting.
