    Will learn a lot

I think the small class sizes will ensure maximum teacher/student interactions

    Will enjoy being here

Great location, in addition to excellent learning environment will make the perfect dream place for any student.

    Bang for the buck

I understand the financial aid benefits are second to non. In addition to one of the bests, if not the best engineering school in the nation. And for someone like me, with little hope in terms of finances, I can't look beyond Cooper Union

    Tips for prospective students

Research a lot and consider carefully your chances well in advance of your year of application in order to place yourself in a better position for admission to Cooper Union

Great for these types of students

Dedicated, eager and willing to learn, brilliant but needy students.

    Will learn a lot

Not only are the class sizes small, due to the number of students accepted, etc., but the topics of choice within the programs are cutting edge and will put you at an advantage once you've completed your studies.

    Will enjoy being here

I've been to the general area of the campus to see the new building by Morphosis (I applied to their architecture program). Its a lively area, that has alot to offer, and being in New York you automatically have access to culture, and entertainment.

    Bang for the buck

It's free, can't beat that!! Eventhough you have to pay the living expenses and supplies, etc. and New York can be expensive the experiences of New York are worth the money.

    Tips for prospective students

Be sure you are ready for the GRE - if you're getting your Masters.

Great for these types of students

Anyone who understands that when studying the arts it is beneficial to immerse yourself in an environment full of culture and character.

    Tips for prospective students

Be willing to work extremely hard and spend a lot of money. It's Cooper Union and New York City.

    Academic Rigor

Heavy and challenging workload. Benefits are learning many things and getting a well-rounded education. The classes are small, leaving the students to receive a more enriching and personal experience.

    Dorm Life

Dorms have heavy rules and it gets quite annoying. The internet is incredibly slow and the apartments are small and dirty. The residence hall says they try to best match the roommates, but they don't do a very good job of it. The dorm location is ideal, next door to St. Mark's Place and in close proximity to NYU dorms.

    Food and Dining

There is no meal plan or dining hall. There is a cafe upstairs in one of the buildings, but it is expensive and only takes cash.

    Bang for the buck

Free tuition. But the dorms are incredibly expensive.

Great for these types of students

    Hard-workers.

    Clubs and Activities

Many clubs to choose from, but club hours are in the middle of the day making it hard to attend many of them.

    Greek Life

There is a Fraternity, filled with really nice people. But no sorority.

    Campus Safety

Guards are located in each building and they check ids.
