Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The school provides a wide range of classes that can fulfill multiple majors. The professors are fully educated in their subjects and will go to all extremes to aid in a student's success.
Am enjoying being here The campus is located near a local town allowing students to have access to shops and food stores. The on-campus cafeteria may not always live up to each student's standards, but with a new deli down the block, it does not become much of a problem. The weather is not the greatest, but since it is a commuter school, most student's are used to the weather before attending classes. There are many clubs and activities on campus and off, allowing the student to engross his or herself into the college community.
Bang for the buck For myself, I received many scholarships that covered over half of my tuition. If you are someone that receives scholarship and aid, you will find this college inexpensive to the usual. The education is sufficient and will benefit every student, making the price reasonable for the product.
Tips for prospective students Whether you dorm or commute, this school provides enough space and enjoyment for every student's needs. The majority of the professors are nice and the medium sized campus is just right for the student population. When traveling in the winter, it is best to allow extra time since the parking lot is far from the main entrance of the school. The intersection right outside the school is also dangerous for drivers and pedestrians. Approach your financial aid officers when necessary and make sure to look into scholarships at Dowling.
Great for these types of students Local students living near Oakdale, New York. Commuters who have access to a car, carpool, or train station. Business, Education, Science, and Art majors.

Tips for prospective students Take a tour and talk to people outside of your tour. Make sure you have continuous conversations with your enrollment advisors. Join lots of clubs and try to live on campus if you're from out of state it'll save you loads!

Tips for prospective students investigate your academic program before you take a single class. you will have the option to change your focus of study, but trust your most sincere academic desires to know what to study.
Academic Rigor dowling's professors will remind you that small town colleges do have might that big city people overlook. dowling's instructors are personal and guide their students towards success without a doubt.
Dorm Life dormitory life at dowling is great. the cost of renting an apartment is quite high, but dowling's housing options are quite good. if you can't afford the rent, then try to find a room/apartment to rent in long island.
Food and Dining dowling college offers some great american cuisine. you can rely upon some good home-cooking at dowling.
What to do for fun you could join the crew team and row on the connetquot river. you could feed geese/ducks beside the river, but they are pests. you can go to the south shore to see the great bay and the atlantic ocean. you can go shopping in riverhead. you can go to new york to do many things. you can go to the arboretum to see many species of tree.
Bang for the buck dowling college is worth the money, but take caution not to waste money in acquiring student loans. make sure of what you want to study before you attend dowling. don't jump in without a plan, however if you do, it will be ok. the advisors at dowling will help you to make good decisions with your academic plans while you attend the university.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus the hunt room is used for special speakers, presentations, or for viewing movies. the ballroom is used for similar events, especially for dancing and award events. both rooms are in fortunoff hall, which was the summer home of the wealthy vanderbilt family.

Clubs and Activities dowling is good for various activities. there are also some clubs.
Campus Safety dowling is very safe. there are few infractions of crime at the college. the worse incidents may be student pranks and irresponsible activity.
