Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot One can learn fast and a lot because of the small class sizes and great teachers.
Am enjoying being here It's similar to High School, except the students really want to learn and the teachers really want to teach the students.
Bang for the buck It's a low cost way to get ur associate's degree or even your basics done.
Tips for prospective students Buy your books online at cheaper rates and sell them back to the bookstore. a person can actually make money from the deal.
Great for these types of students anyone who needs to save some money for the bigger school, or who does not know what they want to become.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Front Range at Westminster obtains a friendly, helpful, and professional atmosphere at all times. The staff and professors are outstanding, they provide all the necessary tools for one to be successful. Here at this college the staff all look into each individual students progress to ensure the best experience.
Tips for prospective students For any student, both new and old, one should always take advantage of the help available to them. There is a place to email adviser's about any questions at all, and they respond with exactly the right answers which are extremely helpful. They also respond within 2 days of the email. There are unlimited resources at Front Range, they should be taken advantage of.
Academic Rigor For a Community College this school has many highly qualified professors, even online. Many of the professors have their doctorates degree and grand experiences to follow that. Classes rarely go over 25 people, at maximum 30 which always provides for more personalized time with teachers.
Dorm Life Dorms are not available through this campus.
Food and Dining Most people enjoy the Subway convieniently placed inside, if not they also have a cafeteria which cooks a variety of different foods. Bistro catering can also be provided.
What to do for fun At the Westminster campus there are many different lounge areas placed throughout campus to relax in during off hours. There is also an art gallery/performance located on campus where readings/exhibitions are held throughout the year. Whether it is concerts, plays, or even movies.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences front range is strong in the area of affordability and quality of certain programs. i have however been disappointed in some of the teachers. several of the teachers that i have had have seemed uninterested in their subject, or even undereducated.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences the boulder county campus in longmont is very small, not many areas to study. the small class sizes are nice as you get more help from professors. i have had excellent teachers and awful ones, and the advising staff are not helpful at all.
Tips for prospective students do your research on courses, costs, and teachers. asking advisors about your plan or what courses you should take is useless, they just say sure to anything you say. don't buy books at the bookstore unless you absolutely have to, they are always cheaper online.
Academic Rigor it really depends on the course and the teacher.
Dorm Life no dorms.
Food and Dining boulder county campus has a small cafe with ready made sandwiches, snacks, and coffee. reasonably priced and the food is alright.
What to do for fun nothing really on campus.
Bang for the buck it seems a bit expensive to me, especially when the administration have to be reminded multiple times to do their jobs. every time you need to talk to anyone in any of the offices they are work study students who all tell you something different about the same thing. also some classes/professors are just a waste as you don't learn anything that you should be learning.
Great for these types of students anyone who is looking for a cheaper alternative to classes at a 4-yr school.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences I've enjoyed school my whole life, and no other school has compared to my fantastic experience at Front Range. From the enthusiastic teachers to the diverse student body. There is no place I would've rather started college at.
Tips for prospective students Go into college with an open mind to the new experiences you will be met with, but not so open that your brain falls out. College is a lot of work. When the work is done it is time to have fun, and there isn't a shortage of friends to be made at Front Range. With such a diverse student body there is a group of friends for everyone.
Academic Rigor Learning is always a challenge, but there is no place more enjoyable to learn at then Front Range. Some teachers are tougher then others, but all the teachers are enthusiastic about their subjects and are willing to help students grow whenever possible.
Dorm Life There are no dorms.
Food and Dining With a fully functional kitchen the food is superb at Front Range. The kitchen staff are students themselves, and are a helpful bunch of people. Even though it's not a full fledged restaurant the service is excellent.
What to do for fun Colorado is full of fun opportunities. Whether it's hiking in the mountains, or visiting one of the several museums in Denver. When you're at Front Range fun is just a short drive away. There is something for everyone in Colorado.
Bang for the buck An excellent start to the college scene, Front Range is definitely a great starting place for students that are on their own financially. I'm so grateful that I was able to attend Front Range it is affordable, and an excellent school.

Tips for prospective students Be sure to meet with an adviser in order to find out which courses are required for your field of study. I would also recommend doing a formal or informal tour of the campus.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences I attend the Larimer Campus in Fort Collins. The campus is fairly well laid out, modern, and clean. Class sizes are fairly small with only 20-30 students per instructor.
Tips for prospective students Register for the class you want fairly early since the classes fill up very quickly. Be sure to talk with an advisor regularly as you want to ensure you are on track to attaining your degree within your expected time frame.
Academic Rigor You can set your own pace here. You are free to take as many or as few classes as you wish; everything hinges upon how quickly you want to complete your degree. The classes are smaller than most universities so the instructors are able to give you more face-time. They are also available to meet with you during their office hours. I also find they are very flexible and willing to meet with you even outside of scheduled office hours.
Dorm Life There are no dorms at this campus.
Food and Dining There is a campus grill in the Student Life building. I have not ever eaten there, but it has a good selection of menu options and it seems quite popular with a majority of the student body and faculty.
What to do for fun There is almost always some type of activity on campus and Fort Collins is a great place for people interested in outdoor activities. With Colorado State University co-located in Fort Collins, there are many college oriented activities targeted for students in Fort Collins.
Bang for the buck As a junior college, classes are much more affordable than traditional four year colleges. With class sizes relatively small, it is also easier to interact with the instructors and have all your questions answered. The Guaranteed Transfer credits are great for those planning on continuing their education at a four year college.
Great for these types of students Anyone interested in a vocational/technical degree has a lot of options at Front Range. If you are a non-traditional student, returning to school after a break in your education, you can brush up on the fundamentals by taking remedial classes here. Anyone planning on earning a Bachelor's Degree will appreciate earning half their credits at less than half the cost of most traditional universities. It is also nice to have an Associate's Degree in hand while working on your Bachelor's Degree.
Clubs and Activities There are numerous student clubs on campus; most of them are academic based clubs. If there is not a club that meets your needs, you can form your own club with the approval of the administration.
Greek Life I don't know of any fraternities or sororities on campus other than the Honor Society. There is not a real presence here although there are many in Fort Collins due to Colorado State University's presence.
Campus Safety I recently checked campus safety reports and there have been no incidents in the past four years. Security personnel are close by but unobtrusive. I have never seen any incidents where security has been needed and the campus always seems clean and orderly.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences A close-knit community college with many outstanding lecturers. The availability of faculty and staff and their interest in your learning is the main reason why Front Range is a great school to attend. There are loads of courses and qualifications offered.
Tips for prospective students Attend a preview day and get a good look around the school, as it's not hard to get lost. Also, bring your own lunch because the cafeteria is very overpriced but there are loads of vending machines and it's a short drive to a few malls.
Academic Rigor Good standard of education; very fair and honest lecturers.
Dorm Life No dorms. Must live off campus.
Food and Dining Really expensive cafeteria, but free popcorn in the student center!
What to do for fun Walks in the Open Space behind Front Range, and regular activities and movies. Also has a little art galley.
Bang for the buck Really well priced. Online classes more expensive so best if you attend in person.

They love helping their students in student life and all around campus you see many helpful ideas on how to form yoru resume. College campus is clean and always has clubs and groups to volunteer in so that you can build your resume.
Tips for prospective students Definatley go to the orientation day, its so helpful and gets you started and focused. Always ask for help, student life will always piont you in the right dirction...
Academic Rigor The classes are intese, some easy some hard. It truly depends on the class and your major. It also depends on YOU-do you want to learn? or are you aimlessly taking random classes for no reason at all?
Dorm Life this is a community college--no dorms
Food and Dining they have good food but small selesction--they need a subway!
What to do for fun they have lots of info on art shows and stuff in the community. they offer volunteer groups but need to offer even more...
Bang for the buck they are definatley affordable, some times thigs are modern, and sometimes they are old fashioned. mostly old fashioned like in biology class.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus They dont have unusaul traditions, the do an easter egg hunt for easter and hide eggs all over the campus which is monday so thatll be fun :)
Great for these types of students ANY TYPE that is motivated to reacha goal.
Clubs and Activities they need more and they need to notify us more about clubs and groupds

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences FRCC is a great place as there is a variety of people. One is sure to find there place among the students of different cultures and educational backgrounds, yet they all have a similar drive for success. Teachers are great and this provides a nice atmosphere.
Tips for prospective students Have fun with college and do not be afraid to succeed. Try your best, but take things simply. Balance your time.
Academic Rigor Good material. Harder than some universities as I have heard. FRCC has a writing lab and it is a good addition for students who need specific help in their grammar and essay structure skills.
Dorm Life No dorms. However, it is located in a nice area, with a library next door, housing and restaurants around.
Food and Dining I never tried the cafeteria, but they have vending machines. Also, they have free popcorn. Often there will be free food samples for students.
What to do for fun There are clubs and events. There are also a lot of funny people. There is a game room, but I was always too busy and never went inside.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences FRCC is amazing. Starting in the Fall of 2011, I was able to gain the knowledge I needed to succeed in classes as well as other places. The faculty are amazing and are generally willing to work with students extra if needed!
Tips for prospective students Community College is the way to go. :) especially if your still undecided about what your major will untimely be. It offers a range of classes/ prerequisite classes that transfer which makes it much easier.
Academic Rigor I love that there is a low student to teacher ratio. It makes for the academic learning process to be more one on one with the students. Labeling tutoring might help this aspect a little.
Dorm Life Front Range doesn't have dorms so there is no dorm life. I do however wish that they could help student find a cheap affordable place to live much like a dorm or apartments.
Food and Dining There is a cafe in the school. Although I have yet to travel that way. Students that do go there enjoy the food
What to do for fun A lot of the main hall way is full of vendors selling homemade items. Which could make for a nice little shopping trip during down time in between classes.
Bang for the buck Front Range is a great place to start your college education. While attending FRCC you save thousands of dollars on the same exact classes that can transfer to a four year university!
Great for these types of students Great for students who want to get back into school in their adult years. Also for students who are unsure of the major they are seeking.
Clubs and Activities Tons of clubs and activities throughout the year. Some of then even go along with the holidays.
Campus Safety There are some safety concerns at FR. There are minimal secretly camera throughout the school. Also only 4 security guards roam around and often aren't easily distinguished between students.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences FRCC is a decent enough community college with a good selection of courses. Teachers are highly hit/miss but faculty is very helpful and assisting. Student center and clubs/organizations are lacking but I imagine this facet probably ebbs/flows depending on the campus one attends.
Tips for prospective students Acquaint yourself with the campus as much as one can first. Get first names of key people in integral depts. such as admissions, records, help desk etc. Find a decent, comfortable place that's easy to study in.
Academic Rigor I would say FRCC is average in tems of acedemic rigour. Lower classes can be a bit of a joke but higher coarses tnd to be good quality.
Dorm Life no dorms are available.
Food and Dining Don't expect much. Cafeteria is very limited and they close early.
What to do for fun The library is surprisingly good. Plenty of open grass to lie down to study or day-dream the day away. Sometime vollyball nets are set up.
Bang for the buck average cost for the education. bt this is a highly subjective question. not all students stufy alike or put in the same amount of hours per week towards studies.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus none.
Great for these types of students Course selection is good for those with full-time, working jobs. Also a good place to start out at if transferring to a 4-yr. university.
Clubs and Activities Clubs are fair. Honestly, not the best selection.
Greek Life no greek life to speak of.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences i recently graduated with my associates of science and absolutely loved every single teacher and every class ive taken here. now i am currently in the lpn program as a full time student. although it is intense and very overwhelming the staff has been helpful in encouraging and pushing me to be the best student i can possibly be .
Academic Rigor over all this campus is great but the nursing program i am currently in i feel needs a lot of help. it is very unorganized, misleading and disappointing at times because of the frequent changes in curriculum, unorganized schedules and teaching methods are constantly changing. now, in three years this program will become competitive and no longer have a wait list. what this mean is now students are having to wait three years before they can get into this now competitive program. very disappointing for me.
Dorm Life i live in longmont and this campus is at a perfect location conveniently close.
Food and Dining this campus's is conveniently close to several food and dining area's
What to do for fun there are lots of clubs and even clubs you can create to make friends. also, there is a pool table and almost weekly activities that go on that are fun.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus recently found out their is a lactation mediation room located near the commons, which i never heard of but i thought that was funny.

Categories Rating Comments Did learn a lot Part of it was that the teachers did not have enough time. Such as my drafting course, it was 3 hours long; Supposed to be an hour of lecture and two hours of lab. Well the only problem was she would lecture for 45 mins, then go to her next class. So if you had any questions you better plan to be there 4-5 hours. I was very disappointed that my money wasn't going to the class time I had paid for.
Did enjoy being here I enjoyed the roomy spaces they had for lounging and studying.
Bang for the buck Tuition is higher than Red Rocks. The school is way overwhelmed with students that you don't get the answers you need going into your start of the semester. Also the teachers would split up the time they were supposed to be with you to go and teach a higher class.
Tips for prospective students Do research on classes you need and all tuition expenses(including cof, fafsa, ect.) on your own. BEFORE talking to an advisor. The advisors didn't really seem to get the whole picturing, ended up taking one very expensive class that I didn't need to.
Great for these types of students This school is great for students that just need a couple classes here and there.

Overall I would like the MGD courses to have been geared more towards unique portfolio development with emphasis on unique.
Am enjoying being here I have enjoyed the ART instructors. I would have liked to have felt more of the MGD instructors embrace and nurture creativity in students.
Bang for the buck Courses are very affordable. As a customer I was extremely dissapointed in the time it took to recieve refunds/loans.

Categories Rating Comments Will learn a lot There are lots of options for classes that I think will be interesting. I asked my older brother about his favorite teachers and registered for their classes.
Will enjoy being here I'm excited to meet new people, but I prefer the campus atmosphere of CSU and I'm probably going to miss spending a lot of time with my baby.
Bang for the buck FRCC (Larimer Campus) shares many teachers with CSU, so you know it's a quality education for less.
Tips for prospective students Definitely go to the Get Started Session as soon as possible. It'll probably answer all the questions you have.
Great for these types of students If you want to transfer to a university after you get your associates degree, this is a great school for you. They have a Guaranteed Transfer Program so that instead of a university picking and choosing which of your credit hours are valid they come as a package.
