    Am learning a lot

The teachers here for the most part really take time to get to know you and how well you learn in order for you to advance. They seem to show they really are for your education, though a lot of people think community colleges don't care as much, these teachers really do.

    Am enjoying being here

The staff is really friendly, as well as the students. They go out of their way to help you with a problems. The college is a very clean and nice looking place to be as well!

    Tips for prospective students

Call and schedule a meeting to go on a tour, so that way you know what it is like and you'll see how friendly everyone is.

Great for these types of students

I would say any student just getting started, or anyone coming back to college. Also they have a very well nursing program, so anyone that is interested in that.

I absolutely love GOCC. If I could stay here for the rest of my college career, I would. The school is very comfortable, the staff is amazing, and I couldn't think of a better school to jump-start my beginning to life!

    Academic Rigor

School for me is already quite easy, but I love a challenge, and by loading up on credit hours I can achieve that effect.

    Am learning a lot

It honestly depends on the classes you take. If you want to be challenged take more advance classes than you did in high school. It looks better on a resume

    Am enjoying being here

I most definitely am enjoying it here. Believe it or not most of the people you graduate with or people you know from different schools may be here. I also love walking through the concourse and hearing a guitar or piano playing or seeing the spectacle of the ping pong players. The vending machines.

    Bang for the buck

This school is literally a bang for your buck. You have the same gen. eds as you would at Western but they don't cost you and arm or a leg or even selling your soul to the devil (not literally selling it to the devil but you don't have to take out outrageous loans just to go to school).

    Tips for prospective students

Get your classes scheduled early. Like they say the early bird gets the worm and it literally applies here. If you don't register asap you may be waiting for another semester or year for a required class or even having to take the class at another school because it isn't offered the next year. I also recommend taking a few extra classes you don't exactly need because they can be a lot of fun, especially drawing classes or a fitness class.

Great for these types of students

This school is great for every kind of student. Whether you don't know what you want to do or you know what you want to do the counselors will help you more than you think. The teachers are also great with one-on-one explanations and so on.
