Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The professors at LSU Alexandria are phenomenal.
Am enjoying being here This college is a bit rough around the edges, I would definitely appreciate a more seamless educational experience. There is always a conflict in correct and incorrect information, and when you're dealing with students' financial livelihood, that is not a good thing.
Bang for the buck Due to recent state budget cuts, LSU Alexandria has raised their tuition costs. Since the current financial departments have trouble already, without being understaffed, I assume this will be a much larger problem in the near future. We're paying more for school, but getting less out of it.
Tips for prospective students Be prepared for Financial Aid and Accounting; these processes are long, drawn out, and quite meticulous. Don't expect an easier time academically just because this is a smaller university, that opinion of LSU Alexandria could not be farther from the truth.

Categories Rating Comments Will learn a lot I have already been taught by some of the professors at this university and they were great educators. My favorite teacher was Dr. Haywood Joiner. He does everything he can to help his students. If I could take him for every course I would.
Will enjoy being here I taking english and math this summer and it's all good.
Bang for the buck in my opinion LSUA is much cheaper than other universities. You have to come see the school for yourself , so you can realize how great it is. I wasn't come her at first. This school could not have been further from my mind just because of some things I heard, but I had to see if for myself. none of it was true though. this is a great school
Tips for prospective students make sure to get all your paperwork done on time. when you attend orientation ask all the questions your want, somebody will be able to answer your question. no question is a crazy one.
Great for these types of students This college is great for students who like small classes,a quiet but fun environment, and faculty of people who care.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences LSUA is a small campus with a great teacher to student ratio. The education of the students is a top priority and it shows through the teachers. It's not directly in Alexandria which causes a lot of driving back and forth from town.
Tips for prospective students Visit the campus and talk to other students. It's a great school but it is not for everyone.
Academic Rigor Personally, some classes were more complicated than others but the majority of teachers are very willing to help you succeed.
Dorm Life The dorms/apartments were just recently built on campus. I visited a few friends who stayed there and thought they were really nice.
Food and Dining The cafeteria isn't great. It's got good food but the choices are limited and it is always really packed for lunch. There is now a subway on campus which is fabulous!
What to do for fun There are always events going on around campus but because the school isn't in Alexandria, there isn't a lot to do close by.
Great for these types of students It's a great starter college or for students who want that close knit group.
Clubs and Activities There are plenty of clubs and activites going on. And if you don't see one you like, start it!
Greek Life Has previously been non-existent but is growing rapidly.
