    Did learn a lot

I learned a lot while at MCC and it was a great place to start my college career! I gained much more self confidence and feel that I am better prepared for the next step in my life.

    Did enjoy being here

I truly did enjoy getting to go to MCC. All the staff and students were great to be around. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful I felt right at home. I would recommend this college to anyone.

    Bang for the buck

The greatest part of MCC is the money that I saved. With scholarships and grant, and MCC low tuition I will not have any loans when I graduate from there.

    Tips for prospective students

Come take a look for yourself MCC is a great place to start your college career and you will not regret it.

    Did learn a lot

Same as any school. It's just smaller. And you barley get any work.. so i dont know how you would learn anything.

    Did enjoy being here

Absolutelyyyyyy NOT. This is exactly why im writing this review is to recommend everyone to chose any school BUT Marshalltown community college. The staff is ridiculous, and could careless about any student there. The population is so small, and let me tell you.. ive traveled around the country so im very used to seeing different ways, people, and cultures.. but when u go to Marshalltown your entering a whole new world full of Drama oriented kids.. and there is nothing happy or fun about this school. If I knew this I would never have gone to this school. Not the college experience your looking for. More like a middle school experience if you want to compare it to something.

Great for these types of students

Students that want to hate there college experience! :)

Teachers are great; most of them are always available to you.
    Classes are interesting.
There is a good variety of classes to choose from.

    Tips for prospective students

Just because it's a community college does not mean that it isn't as hard as a university. You will have to study, you will have to put effort into your work, and you will have to step outside of your comfort zone.

    Dorm Life

I don't live on campus, so I wouldn't really know. I haven't heard anything too terrible about the dorms, though.

    What to do for fun

Well, being a small school, there isn't a whole lot to do. But I would suggest getting involved in SAC or any of the sports on campus.

Great for these types of students

People who don't yet know what they want to major in/do with their life.
People who want to gain some experience before going to a university.
