    Mayville State University is a small university where everyone is a family and can produce the same outcomes as a larger university.

    Small sized classes, one on one attention with proffessors.

    Good food, different variety, buffet type of meals.

    Same education just a lot less money then a bigger institution charges.

    Mayville State is a close knit college. Everyone student and teacher are accepting and accommodating. The level of education is first rate.
    Tips for prospective students

    A tip would be to take advantage of the dorms. You meet many life long friends there. Also, join a club or team. Being a part of something bigger than just yourself helps you adjust and fit in.
    Academic Rigor

    The teachers are challenging yet understanding. The staff is very willing to work with you if you show the drive to succeed.
    Dorm Life

    The new building is very well built. The suites are spacious and the staff is a joy to work with. There is never a dull moment.
    Food and Dining

    The food is well prepared but it lacks options. It repeats itself many times throughout the semester and the hours are very rigid. The salad bar is amazing though.
    What to do for fun

    There are many student lead organizations that put on dances, free movies, game nights, cook outs, and sporting events. However, there is always something happening off campus as well.
    Bang for the buck

    Mayville State is a very reasonable University. The class sizes are small and manageable so your teachers always know who you are. The school also has a very good teacher education program that has one of the highest job placement percentages of any college that offers the program.
    Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

    One tradition for the school is we have Farmer's Bowl weekend along with a homecoming weekend. Farmers Bowl is where Alumni come down and take in a Comet Football game and Volleyball game. There is a parade in the morning and a lot of Comet Pride throughout the rest of the weekend.
    Great for these types of students

    Mayville doesn't have a certain type of student that goes there. There is all kinds of people that attend the college and every single on is accepted and has a place to fit in. The people and community are very accepting of others.
    Clubs and Activities

    There are many clubs and activities on campus. We have many religious groups, Student Senate, Peer Leaders, Football, Baseball, Softball, Basketball, and intramurals
    Greek Life

    We don't have any Greek on campus.
    Campus Safety

    We have great campus security. There are people on night watch, along with RA's and housing directors in every building. They have installed cameras throughout all buildings and every door needs the right key to be open.

    Mayville State University is a great school for any person. Here at Mayville they are so personable and willing to help you with anything that you may need help with to achieve your goal. Also, Mayville is so affordable.
    Tips for prospective students

    One tip that i could give to anyone is the extra time you take to listen to your teachers when they say this will help you in college, be sure to listen and practice what they preach.
    What to do for fun

    Here at Mayville there are so many things to do for fun. Some are going swimming in the free pool, playing pool, and doing all the activities that they have taking place on campus. Also, taking part of the free movie nights they have each week.
