Categories Rating Comments Did learn a lot I just graduated from A&T in May, and I feel more than ready to begin my Master's of Accounting program at The Ohio State University. Not only am I prepared, but I also managed to get a scholarship for my Master's and for the CPA Exam (which I am already studying for). The classes are challenging, but it is fun to take some of the electives (not all majors have room for electives, so be careful about that).
Did enjoy being here I absolutely love A&T. I grew up around it, and I am so glad that I chose to attend. Now that I graduated, I miss it very much. The years flew by, so make sure to experience all that you can. A&T is more than just the campus, all of Greensboro supports the school. You get student discounts at the Bojangles and Biscuitville down the street, and you are not an Aggie until you go to Cook-Out (for those of you who do not have one).
Bang for the buck It is very affordable, especially for in-state students. Keep your grades up so that you will be qualified for the Dowdy scholarships when you enroll (they were created after I enrolled, so I was not eligible). Talk to your chair about creating incentive programs for freshmen (not impossible - Accounting has one).
Tips for prospective students Check to see if your department has scholarships. It is very difficult to obtain scholarship money once you have started, so try to get every scholarship possible before classes start. Also, consider work study. It is a great way to earn a little extra money without having to drive to a job every day and will help you get to know your professors. Consider playing an intramural sport - I was on the tennis team so I was unable to play PowderPuff football, and I regret it everyday!
Great for these types of students Prospective accountants, engineers, english majors, agricultural majors, business majors in general (I'm biased, the School of Business and Economics was my home away from home for four years). Athletes who are very focused are also welcome because Aggie Athletics is serious (make sure you are also able to keep up your grades because you will have early morning workouts no matter which sport you choose).

Categories Rating Comments Did learn a lot I learned a lot at North Carolina A&T State University through their universal studies classes that everyone is required to take. I also learned about responsibility and self-disicpline. Most of all I learned that if you don't stay focus despite what school you go to, you will not be able to stay there for long.
Did enjoy being here I loved being an Aggie! There were plenty of people that were willing to work with you. The social environment was fantastic and there was so much to do in the city of Greensboro, North Carolina. I also gained a variety of friends that consisted of teachers, students, and co-workers within the department I received work study.
Bang for the buck For the most part I can honestly say that A&T is worth the buck. You'll have so much fun there that you won't even be concerned on how much money your spending for your education.
Tips for prospective students My tips for prospective students is to stay on top of your work and keep up with your financial aid. Overall, my ideal tip is to have fun and enjoy the campus atmosphere.
Great for these types of students This school is great for engineering students and any agricultural major.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot NC A&T SU is a HBCU that has allowed me to understand more about culture and history. I have learned more about myself as well as my field of study. I am an engineering major here and the curriculum is tough! I have no doubt in my mind that all the hard work is worth it. I am only a Sophmore and have been taking engineering classes since my Freshman year here. NC A&T SU believes in starting you with your core curriculum courses soon. This way you understand what your major is truley about and can adjust if need be. My mind has been opened and enhanced since my enrollment at NC A&T SU.
Am enjoying being here The campus life is an exciting experience. With all the students and organizations on campus there is never a dull moment. The SGA always has a volunteer activity that needs active students. All the Fraternities and Sororities host events that energize the campus. Don't forget all the sport events that take place! The football stadium is always packed! The basketball gym is never empty, and sports such as baseball, softball and track are well supported. Numerous events like blaster bowls and campus awareness take place in our Student Union to keep students informed. Also, there are inspirational speakers that visit our campus such as Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton and Maya Angelou come to speak to our students. There is always something productive and fun to do on this campus and I love it!
Bang for the buck At NC A&T SU tuition is a major topic. I am an out-of-state student so my tuition is much higher than in-state students. It is like this at most Colleges or Universities. Though the jump is significant, the education is worth it. NC A&T SU has been noticed as one of the top 10 schools in the Nation for Engineering. Therefore, and Engineering degree from my University holds weight in the Engineering world which gives you more career opportunities. Going to a post secondary school is all about bettering your chances at a well paying career. A degree from A&T is a big step in the right direction. Plus the University is good about trying to find students scholarships. They has numerous University scholarships and send out emails about other possible scholarships. We have an entire Hall commited to helping students find financial aid assistance and helping students towards a career.
Tips for prospective students Any student that is interested in attending North Carolina A&T State University should make sure this is the University for you. Check the Universities website frequently (www.ncat.edu) to find out what is going on around campus and what's new within the University. If you are coming in with a declared major, make sure the University has an accredited program in your field. Find out as much as you can about the campus life and go on a University tour. After all this is done and you have your heart set on being an Aggie (university mascot) then get your paper work done as soon as possible. Do not wait until the last minute to make sure you are registered for classes and your financial aid is approved. Do not procrastinate! There are 10,000 other students at the universty and we all have to go through the same process. If you get things done early that gives you time to search for more scholarships and awards. My best advice is be persistant in making sure your obligations are complete.
Great for these types of students This University can nurture any type of student. It has a wide variety of activities and programs for everyone to take advantage of. The University is very advantagous to students with an interest in Engineering and Science. The College of Engineering at A&T is well known around the nation and has a high retention rate within the College. Engineering students who come to A&T recieve a counselor that makes meetings mandatory so they make sure you stay on the right path. Also, the courses provide hands on learning that gives experience and education in one class. Class sizes are small enough for your Professor to know if you missed a class which helps students stay on top of their work. In all fields of study Professors care about their students and want to see them succeed. So if your a hard working student that wants to better yourself at a University that cares, this school is for you!

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot We get hands on experience with the teachers. The classes are small enough to interact with your peers in a group discussions or class room discourse. There are also computer labs in almost every building and residential hall so that everyone can learn and be able to complete homework.
Am enjoying being here The atmosphere at North Carolina A&T is very nice. We have plenty of social places that allows all students to just come and hang out to relax such as the Starbucks and Pizza Hut near the Williams cafeteria or the Memorial Union. We also have lounges in the residential halls as well.
Bang for the buck We take Pride into our school and why not go to school that has the Greatest Homecoming On Earth! We have the legendary Blue and Gold Marching Machine, the wonderful sounds of the University choir, Jazz band, and the Meac champs cheerleading squad along with the other entertaining sports.
Tips for prospective students I say to keep up with your studies. Yes, before I got to the school I was told that the school was a party school but honestly that is at any school. The campus has really focused on the students. I say to stay focused on everything that is given to you no matter where you go. You are at school for the education itself and do not let anyone make you think otherwise. College isn't a place to waste either. So at NC A&T we are full of A-G-G-I-E!!!!!!! P-R-I-D-E!!!!!!!! :-)
Great for these types of students This college would be good for students interested in any major but the most prominent and common majors are in the Engineering, Technology, Agricultural and Education Departments.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I am an engineering major and i am learning a lot here. All of my teachers are willing to work with you and help you to get the best grade in the class. Every teacher that I have come in contact with have been this way. And you learn a lot in each class.
Am enjoying being here I love being an Aggie! I have a lot of Aggie Pride. I am VP of Aggie Livewires, the pep squad, and I support the school no matter how the teams are doing. And there is always something to do on or around the campus.
Bang for the buck NCAT is worth the money. Coming from Virginia, the out of state tuition was cheaper than some VA schools' in state tuition. I fit perfectly here and the education I am receiving already puts a foot in the door for my career. It is well worth the money.
Tips for prospective students The biggest thing is to make sure you keep up with your work. Don't let the numerous activities or parties get in the way of your schoolwork. Trust me, it will affect your grades unless you keep up with your work.
Great for these types of students A&T is a great school for engineering majors or any related fields as well as Business and Journalism/Mass Communications Majors. It is also a great for Nursing majors and Animal Science.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The teachers here are very informative, some of them make sure you understand before they move on to another topic. The Business program here is one of the best just not that known for it.
Am enjoying being here I like it here, the campus is beautiful, especially in the spring. The cafeteria aka the cafe is nice. Overall the atmosphere of this campus is relaxing during the day and lively at night, which I like a lot. It also reminds me of the suburbs, especially when I walk through the village.
Bang for the buck The tuition and went towards the remodeling of the cafeteria, and they have a shuttle bus fee that everyone has to pay for in which only few students actually ride it.
Tips for prospective students The food in the cafeteria isn't all that great, but eventually you'll grow accustomed to it. The dorms to stay away from are Cooper and Haley, the better ones are Pride, the Suites or the Village. Dowdy Hall (the financial aid office) will be your worse enemy.
Great for these types of students This school is great for those who like to party, want to be an engineer or business major, who is also very studious, and who wants to be in the band.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I am a freshman, just arriving at A&T. I would say im learning everything possibly needed for my freshman year. Im currently enrolled in University courses to prepare me for the difficult courses and enhance my learning skills. Im learning all about the university, its history, and of course the campus. You will be well prepared for your career once you finish at NC A&T SU!
Am enjoying being here I love NC A&T SU! Here at A&T we become a big happy family. Everyone is so helpful and encouraging. I've gotten adjusted very well to my surroundings. I also do work study. I love it! I work in the political science and criminal justice office, mind you my major is criminal justice. Its a perfect fit for me. NC A&T is where you should be! Im sure you will love it. I started off a little home sick but after a couple of weeks, I was as good as gold.
Bang for the buck I would say you get your moneys worth. Its pretty reasonable to attend A&T. I fell in love with the FLEX dollars that comes with your meal plan. Considering I dont really eat in the caf, it comes in handy. I would suggest you to get a meal plan with the most flex dollars!
Tips for prospective students Our campus is lovely. We have shuttle services to take you all over campus to your classes. We also are connected with the HEAT bus. This bus takes you over Greensboro to malls, movies, activities, walmart, etc. We have a chick-fil-a, pizza hut, smoothie shop, Aggie wings, and a Starbucks right on campus! It cant get any better than that. A&T is the school for you. Come be apart of Aggie Land!
Great for these types of students North Carolina A&T SU is great for students majoring in agriculture and technoloy. Our school has a concrete school of agriculture and technology. I also think A&T is great for out going people. You have to have a personality. We have a GREAT marching machine, so if your interested in the band/dancing/color guard, this is the school for you! If you like to be around alot of people, in a fast moving environment, this is the perfect school for you. Come be a Aggie, We will make your stay a pleasant one.

Am enjoying being here I just finished up my first semester here at A&T! I have to say I love it here! I love the atmosphere and the pride all the students here carry. A&T is a great school for anyone no matter your intended major, background, or walk of life. Whoever you are, NC A&T SU has a place for you! AGGIE PRIDE!!!!!!
Bang for the buck You get a good quality education at a price that won't completely drain you, your parents, and your entire family
Tips for prospective students For all students planning to attend A&T get your stuff in as soon as possible. Just like most institutions, A&T have a lot of prospective students, so be sure to get your stuff in expiditously so you can get all the good stuff (i.e. classes, dorm rooms, etc.).... Best of luck!
Great for these types of students No matter what your major is, A&T is the place to be to get your degree!!!!

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Being a current Laboratory Animal Science major, I have learned an immense amount of new material that is just so fascinating to me in this major. I have always desired to be a Veterinarian, but I didn't have that much experience before I came to A&T. My family was hesitant about a city girl (Las Vegas born & bred) going to the 'country'. But I was provided with hands on experiences with animals in the lab AND at the farm, and I cannot stress how much it has increased my love for this field. The professors are very experienced and are nurturing, and have increased my wanting to try more and learn more. I also learned more about myself. I wasn't raised around many African Americans, or places that were rich in history and culture. But being at A&T has provided me with knowledge about my ancestry, the struggle behind the advantages that black students have today, and have helped me realize how fortunate I am to have an education because of those before me that fought and died for my chance to live freely without oppression. I've learned so much about the history of A&T and my culture, and it's so interesting. I just want to know more and more, and I love that A&T is providing me with such.
Am enjoying being here My first year at A&T was absolutely amazing. I could not have asked for a better freshman experience. I didn't know anyone coming to the school, and I was extremely out of my comfort zone, but luckily I met some fantastic people who took me under their wings and made me feel comfortable in my own surroundings. Those people are like my family, and made my year so much more enjoyable. I didn't even want the year to end, and I'm so anxious to go back. The atmosphere is so fun and friendly, and people always greet you and try to make you part of the environment no matter what color you are. I absolutely love my school!
Bang for the buck Being an out of state student does have its woes. Tuition is ridiculous, but I know that's a disadvantage of attending school out of state, and it's worse than other schools so I can't be too picky. It's a bit hard to find scholarships provided by the school for my field, and unfortunately financial aid doesn't cover all of my expenses, but because of my experiences, I couldn't think to go anywhere else. I couldn't picture myself anywhere else, so the financial worries are bearable to some point, just because of my love for my school.
Tips for prospective students Look for scholarships early, and make sure your GPA is at it's best. There is a better chance to get more money when your grades are top notch. But most importantly, if you come to A&T, enjoy yourself! Yes, stay focused on your studies rather than going out every night, but there are events going on that you can reward yourself for hard work. It's all about balance. The people that don't like A&T never did anything that they loved.
Great for these types of students This school is great for students wanting to go into an engineering field. There are tons of options! Also, the school of agricultural & environmental science have great teachers and programs. If you want to enjoy yourself while attending a school with immense history and great people, A&T is for you!

Am enjoying being here A&T is like one big AGGIE family, it's easy for you to find and make great relationships with people from different backgrounds.
Tips for prospective students Once you figure out exactly what you want to pursue as in a career or how you want to leave your legacy on 'Aggieland' everything will fall into place. Take it one step at a time.

Categories Rating Comments Academic Rigor i'm learning a lot simply by being on my own. its one thing to grow up having your parents help make your decisions. but, to be here on my own and to take matters into my own hands is a good feeling. it lets you know things about yourself that you didn't know before. also, one thing they tell us at a&t is that it's not always what you know but who you know that will help you out in the workplace. a&t has a lot of opportunities for you to get to know others from other companies to help you get your feet in the door when aiming to gain work experience.
Am enjoying being here Yeah, I like it in North Carolina. Good people down here. I think it might have to do with that whole southern hospitality thing. And just getting to know folks from around the US is always a good learning experience.
Bang for the buck it's a bang for your buck only if you take advantage of the opportunities a&t has to offer. listen for what's going on around campus and you'll gain everything you need.
Tips for prospective students beware of the transition from high school to college. my freshman year in college reminded me so much of high school that i kept some of my bad high school habits. once i started my sophomore year and started getting into my major courses...i paid the price. so yeah, during your freshman year in college you should start trying to adapt into that college mindset right away.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I am learning a lot even though I haven't gottten into my major yet which is Family and Consumer Sciences Ed. I took the required University Studies classes and they helped a lot by preparing each student for the core courses that will kick your butt if you don't find a way to be productive.
Am enjoying being here There are tons of programs to go to on campus and millions of things to do off campus. People say A&T is a party school, but in all honestly, you put in what you get out.
Bang for the buck KEEP YOUR GRADES UP! It's one the guarenteed ways to receive better financial assistance from the school. But for the amount that you do pay to attend the school it is most definitely worth it.
Tips for prospective students keep your grades up, search for scholarships, and get involved. It's the only way to have fun.... oh ! and balance partying and studying!
Great for these types of students A&T is great for Engineers, journalism, business majors and people majoring under the School of Agriculture.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Basically with any school you will attend, you will learn as much as you desire to learn. With my craving for knowledge it has allowed me to learn quite a bit in the time i've spent here i have done things that i have never imagined doing! This is a fantastic university with a wonderful program in engineering. One thing that will live on forever with you in AGGIE PRIDE! AGGIE PRIDE TILL THE DAY I DIE!
Am enjoying being here The environment here is different for me but enjoyable. Can be a little much at times though. You have to make the best out of every situation your put in.
Bang for the buck I have a love/hate relationship. Paying out of state tuition is not ever the best thing. I feel like since i pay so much i should receive better classes, resources and what not, but I don't so thats why only 2 stars.
Tips for prospective students Come here for engineering

Am enjoying being here The atmosphere is awesome. Everyone is nice and open. The teachers definitely help pull that out of each student.
Great for these types of students If you want to be a vet, this is the place to go. A&T is well known for it's SAES (School of Agriculture and Evnironmental Science) building.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences This school is the most family oriented school I have visited and the school I have chosen to attend. You feel at home when you get there, and your greeted with smiling faces, handshakes and hugs. I'm not saying there wont be any problems, but there won't be any that can't be worked out.
Tips for prospective students If you want a school that is family oriented, not too expensive and homey. A&T is your school
Food and Dining Great food and great variety of choices

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences A&T is a wonderful institution! They provide lots of scholarship, and internship opportunities, and provide other services to their students to ensure success after graduation. I also found out at A&T that as long as I asked for help, I received help!
Tips for prospective students A lot of people think North Carolina A&T is a party school but I like to say that's what it is if that's what you make of it. As long as you stay focus on your classes and balance yourself so that your social life doesn't consume you, you can be as successful student.
Academic Rigor Depending upon your major some students would say the classes are hard or not. But no matter what major you are in, there's ALWAYS someone around to help you! Whether is a professor or a friend, you don't have to struggle.
Dorm Life The traditional styles resident halls aren't horrible but were not my preference. The newer style resident halls are wonderful and everybody tries to get a room in them so it's best to do your housing early. Thankfully freshman can live in any resident hall on campus just as long as they do their housing early.
Food and Dining Coming from New York I didn't care for a lot of the southern food but the dining hall is hit or miss, but some people like it. But we aren't limited to the dining hall we have food in the union to eat and there are food location off campus in walking distance to eat at too.
What to do for fun There are parties on and off campus, and events that are hosted for the students by the school which are FUN! I mostly did low key things with my close friends and boyfriend such as go to the movies, or order a pizza and watch a movie and play games. Which is always fun, because you're around people you enjoy.
Bang for the buck I live in New York State and it was actually cheaper for me to go out of state to A&T than stay in state to go to some of the schools at home.
Great for these types of students If you're in to the whole politics thing, A&T has a competitive student government association. They plan excellent programs on campus and the royal court always shows off at the football games!
Clubs and Activities There are LOTS of organizations to be apart of on campus. What I loved most about my freshman year was that as a freshman I was able to be apart of a lot of organizations. It made me feel like I had a say so!
Greek Life I am not a Greek but they are interesting and always keep campus live.
Campus Safety Campus Safety is important at A&T. We have our own campus police, emergency push buttons and security guards in all resident halls and builds that hold evening classes.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot North Carolina A&T is high on academics. Tutoring is offered if help is neede in any curriculum. Counselors are there for you every step of the way. The professors only want the best for the students.
Am enjoying being here I absolutely love NCA&T and wouldn't change my decison if i had to do it again.
Bang for the buck You absolutely get your money's worth. Even after attending all events on campus as well as, clubs, sports, teams, social events, dining, housing, and tutoring offered the list of things that A&T offers goes on.
Tips for prospective students Make sure if you have any question ASK THEm. Thats what the counselors, professors, and your peers are for.
Great for these types of students Students interested in a positive learning experience and a good environment to transform into a responsible adult.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I am learning a lot here. The professors here are very helpful there are several resources on campus so that you can be successful here. Even when your not n a classroom setting you seem to always be learning something iand that's how this university is set up.
Am enjoying being here Theres always something that you can be doing here. There may be sometimes where you can become bored but that probably will be because you haven't really been looking for activities to do. For the fact that majority of the students that are here are trying to make something of themselves allows me to enjoy it here even more.
Bang for the buck I don't understand this question but.The cost could be cheaper but its decent for in-state.
Tips for prospective students Think positive. Be yourself. make sure you do your best at everything you do as in tests an be prepared for everything that could possibly come your way.
Great for these types of students For students that probably didnt have the 4.0 gpa in high school. More like a average student type of school. Most of all if you like to have fun an learn at the same time, A&T is the place for you. If you like seeing nice cars on rims and hearing loud music when goin to class A&T is it. I you want to be apart of a institution that mostly everyone takes pride in then thats where you should be.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences NCAT is definately a fun school to attend but, you have to be focused to do well here. There are alot of things going on on campus and in the community that one could be apart of and enjoy. NCAT is also a very diverse campus, there are many people from a variety of areas.
Tips for prospective students If you're planning to come to A&T, come focused. A&T has alot of distractions so, you have to be dedicated to your studies. Get involved. There is a very active Greek Life on campus, that I am apart of, and can be very fun at times. There are also modeling troupes, choirs, honors societies, etc that some one can join.
Academic Rigor A&T has a variety of professors and class levels. I would suggest looking into your classes and professors before taking any class, though. But, there are definately enough professors to suit your learning style.
Dorm Life I, personally, do not enjoy dorm life but, it suited me well for my first years at A&T. For roommates, I would suggest establishing a good communication line with them and being firm and assertive about your space but, do be flexible. Roommates can turn out to be good friends.
Food and Dining Cafeteria food gets old but, our caf does serve good food. And when you do get tired of cafeteria food, you can always go to the student union or McAllisters (which is under our cafeteria) to eat.
What to do for fun A&T has an active party culture and, being that Greensboro is about 45 minutes away from UNC and Duke, there are always parties to go to. The school throws Gym Jams about once a month, which are just like school dances in our gym. And, as I stated earlier, there are plenty of groups and organizations on our campus that one might enjoy.
Bang for the buck I'm an out-of-state student and I believe that I am way over paying for school (especially since I do not recieve any financial aid). But, if you are in-state, A&T is pretty affordable.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The Holland Bowl is a bowl out side of the dorm called Holland Hall. We have kick ball tournaments, flag foot ball, etc out there. Its also right in front of the cafeteria which makes it an ideal place to hang out.
Great for these types of students A&T is great for students who have a variety of interests. There is plenty for the more gregarious student to be involved in.
Clubs and Activities Lots and Lots of clubs and activities. As far as greek life, we have the Devine Nine, which are the 9 African American founded fraternaties and sororities (I'm a member of a D9 org, Zeta Phi Beta), and the Greek Life Council which would be all other greek lettered organizations on campus.
Two big modeling troups: Couture and Verge. Couture also has a singing/spoken word troupe associated with it.
Bible study groups, club promotion groups, plus more.Greek Life Greek Life is very active and I enjoy being apart of it.
Campus Safety Campus is relatively safe. We have a two police stations on campus and gates that lock at night to keep people from driving through at night.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Here at NC A&T you do learn a lot more in a shorter time than you do in high school so naturally you must pay attention and have good organizing and listening skills to past with good grades. You learn that really quick. I am a freshman studying hard for my midterms and never had to study as extensively as this. A&T is a school that pushes their students to the limit and then some and I am proud to shout my Aggie Pride!
Am enjoying being here I have enjoyed my time here at Aggie Land even though it's only have been a few months. A&T has basically many different programs happening here all of the time. The vast amount of programs range from international studies to study sessions and hundreds of clubs.
Bang for the buck A&T is pretty costly in my own opinion but what college isn't. I have compared prices and reviews of many different colleges, and even have done campus visits: including Chapel Hill, ECU, High Point University, UNCG, and Greensboro College. I've compared their programs, book cost, and so on. A&T is relatively cheap compared to the other schools but they tend to have better and higher honors(HPU, ECU, & Chapel Hill). But A&T creates a lot of their books or have them specialized so their pretty costly and so are their on campus restaurants.
Tips for prospective students If you want to come out of A&T as a proud student if high grades you must STUDY! STUDY! STUDY! Use campus resources like computer labs and the library, and always meet your professors it is essential to meet your professor and talk to them about class, work, and your situation outside of class.
Great for these types of students A&T is a wide campus surrounded by many places where you can go on or off campus. From shopping and going out to eat or somewhere quiet to study or clubs to drop it like it's hot; And of course who can forget the block party and GHOE (Greatest Home Coming On Earth)!

Categories Rating Comments Am enjoying being here I transferred to North Carolina A&T from Bennett College and although things are very different here, I am enjoying my college experience so far. There are tons of clubs/organizations to join to enhance your time here and connect with people with similar interests as yourself. The HBCU atmosphere is something I could never explain you would just have to experience it for yourself.
Bang for the buck As an out of state student it is tough to pay for school. However, as long as you're willing to do well academically and apply for all the scholarships you qualify for everything should be great. A&T is a public school; this means tuition varies for everyone based on the type and number of courses one registers for. No, it isn't fair that some students only pay about $3000 for tuition and others pay $7000, but that's how public universities are. If you're a resident of NC this probably won't be a problem, for out of state students just be prepared and mindful. Only you can make your experience here worth it.
Tips for prospective students Stay focused! A&T campus is not small and it's very easy to roll over and forget about that class you signed up for that starts at 9AM. Every weekend will not be filled with tons of things to do, but there will be plenty of fun weekends. Do not lose sight of why you came to college in the first place. Form relationships with your professors as well as someone in the administration building; college is all about networking.
Great for these types of students The following majors: psychology, engineering, accounting, agriculture, and business.

Tips for prospective students
I say to keep up with your studies. P-R-I-D-E!!!!!!!!Great for these types of students
This University can nurture any type of student. So if your a hard working student that wants to better yourself at a University that cares, this school is for you!Login to rate or flag the reviews

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University is a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) that stresses academic excellence through its school motive Explore, Discover, Become. Throughout my freshman year at North Carolina A&T, i have had an array of professors that stress enhanced teaching and completion of assignments in a profound manner. There were student instructors (SI's) and teacher assistants (TA's) willing to assist in courses such as Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Computer Programming. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to work in study groups with diverse students that built intellectual and interpersonal relationships. Furthermore, there are exceptional amounts of research opportunities available to undergraduate and graduate students. I am currently in a research program that studies the use of biometrics in cyber security fields to quickly and accurately identify an individual to ensure safety within the cyber infrastructure. I am ecstatic to continue my education at this illustrious university. With hard work and diligence, I am certain I will continue to maintain a superb grade point average and be known as a student of change within the community, on campus, and throughout the world.
Am enjoying being here The campus life at North Carolina A&T State University is amazing. The critically acclaimed marching band can certainly boost any individual's sense of AGGIE PRIDE! Although the football team fails to win many games each season, the feeling of love and satisfaction never seems to decrease. Plus, our remaining sports, such as men's and women's basketball, track, softball, baseball, swimming, and bowling add to the excitement and pride dispersed throughout the university. When sports activities fail to add to the enjoyment at North Carolina A&T, Homecoming and Aggie Fest events usually replace this downfall. Homecoming consists of a gospel show, fashion show, comedy show, step show, pep rally, and concert that includes artists that have been selected by the current students, staff, and alumni. In contrast, Aggie Fest contains events such as a carnival, Greek fraternity probates, and various outside activities.
Bang for the buck In-state students cost of attendance annually totals to approximately $16,348, which is increasing due to the cost of living and the circumstances within the country. Out-of-state students pay about $8,000 more in tuition and fee expenses. Some students may have difficulty in paying their semester bills, but there are scholarships that are available to apply for. When scholarships and grants aren't enough, my personal last resort, unsubsidized and subsidized loans, are also available after completion of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
Tips for prospective students For prospective students planning to attend North Carolina A&T, I would suggest him or her to stay on top of responsibilities, such as financial aid awards, major changes, class schedules, and payments to the university. The Office of Student Financial Aid can be very slow at verifying awards, causing several students to be forced to take a semester out of school. If he or she (the student) maintains a responsible attitude, this saddening event can easily be avoided. Secondly, I would advise prospective students to prevent themselves from getting too caught up into the campus life. The numerous events that are going on within the campus's area can definitely through students off of their academics; I have noticed this from some students within my class of 2014. Lastly, prospective students must budget and conserve the money that they have as much as they possibly can. As an incoming college student, it is important to save most of the money that is available to him or her for emergencies only. During my freshman year at North Carolina A&T, some friends of mine and I were stranded at a movie theater and neither one of us had a car to drive back to campus. However, with money set aside, we were able to catch a taxi to arrive safely at the university.
Great for these types of students North Carolina A&T State University is great for students who are motivated to make a difference, discovering what it means to become independent, and desire a family atmosphere.
