Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot There are plenty of majors and classes to select from. NDSU does a very good job of keeping classes interesting and very informative. I believe that the classes I take from my major are very crucial part of class and I love taking them.
Am enjoying being here The wellness center is a great place to get rid of stress. I have made a lot of friends since I have become a student at NDSU. There are always events on campus going on. Very affordable.
Bang for the buck It is a great place to be, especially in the Midwest region. I love the intramural sports and the wellness center. The library is a great place to study and then come back to my apartment to relax with friends.
Tips for prospective students A very important thing is balancing academics and your personal life. Sometimes students need to be selfish when it comes to academics and classes. Always remain goal oriented.
Great for these types of students engineering students. students who can not afford $ 17,000 or greater schools/year. Who just love a great campus.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The engineering program here is one of the best in the country! Employers will seek out NDSU students just for going here!
Am enjoying being here The people in Fargo are wonderful, the community is welcoming and safe. Its got that small town feel with just enough of the city life.
Bang for the buck Its much cheaper than my alternative choices, making it worth a look!
Tips for prospective students Join Greek life! Seriously, It changed my life FOREVER and made me into the leader I am today. I owe so much of my success to my Fraternity, Theta Chi. Be willing to step out of your comfort zone and meet new people and accept other ways of life.
Great for these types of students Engineering, Nursing, Architecture, Agriculture, Pharmacy

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The teachers and TAs you will have here are very helpful. I was worried at first that I would just become a number when I came to such a big school as NDSU, but the teachers know my name and major. It is so much easier to learn when you know that the teachers actually care.
Am enjoying being here There is so much stuff to do here on campus. I got into one of the high-risers for my first year and I am loving it. It's like its own little community and there is lots of stuff to do with just your floors as well.
Bang for the buck NDSU is a school that is well worth its money.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Many of my teachers made themselves available to help any time I needed it. Or if they weren't available at the time I needed, I could always count on tutors to help me out. Many of my teachers knew of great extent what they were talking about, and a few tried to make it fun for the students, which I loved !
Am enjoying being here The area that NDSU is located is great! Just a short walk across campus, I am able to get my work out on at the Wellness Center, for free! The area has a lot of great restaurants located around it, and is only a 10 minute drive from the mall. It's really a beautiful campus, whether it's winter or spring.
Bang for the buck Compared to other colleges and universities, NDSU is a great deal! They really provide you with so many free things, you can't even imagine. The education you get there is really worth your money your spending. Just because it seems like a lot of money now, in the long run it will really help out with your future.
Tips for prospective students Do not procrastinate, and study a lot! Staying on top of things was crucial for my first year, and procrastinating makes things so much harder. Next, if you are trying to decide on bringing your vehicle, do it! You might end up having a few classes downtown, and having a car was really a lot better than riding the bus, plus you don't have to bum rides from your friends when you want to get around.
Great for these types of students I know that NDSU has a great pharmacy program, and I'm not even a pharmacy major! I also know that it has a very competitive architecture and landscape architecture program, but each year they only accept around 60 students to get into the architecture program, and about 20 students for the landscape architecture program, so if you're contemplating that, really keep up on your school work and deadlines!

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot There a lot of courses that are offered at NDSU and all of them have high quality professors that know their stuff. If you like to learn in lecture halls, small classrooms, abroad or hands on NDSU has it. The professors really work with you too and set up review sessions.
Am enjoying being here The Fargo area is a beautiful place along with the NDSU campus, and everything is easy to get to with free student busing. There are a lot of clubs and activities to do too, if you're not into that stuff there is the wellness center to get a good work out. The Fargo dome football games are also enjoyable and free for students.
Bang for the buck At NDSU you get your money's worth from the free busing and all the sport events that NDSU puts on. The food is good and there are three dining centers. It offers a great education for a great price.
Tips for prospective students Take a tour, it's worth it. You'll never really get the feel unless you come and see the campus for yourself. Don't be afraid to ask question and talk with the professors in charge of the department you want to go in, even if you don't know that's still okay. Most importantly don't be afraid to get involved and meet new people.
Great for these types of students Honestly, it is great for any student no matter what the age. If you like sport, getting involved, parties, live music, movies, inflatable games, wellness, school, or international studies NDSU has it all.

Categories Rating Comments Will learn a lot I believe that I will learn a lot by trying my hardest and keeping up my good work I've been doing in high school.
Will enjoy being here I do think I will enjoy being here because I love going to Fargo as it is and I have been to tour the college and I loved it. Everything I've heard about this school has been positive, which makes me even more excited to go to this college.
Bang for the buck The money you pay will be worth it in the long run. Just as long as you try as hard as you can, then you can succeed and make enough money to pay off any money you borrowed. I believe its worth spending money on college, because college will be very beneficial later in life.
Great for these types of students This college is not just for specific students. If you are not sure what you are going into, then go here and take some generals and find out what you want to be. Then go from there.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences NDSU is a big-time university rooted in agriculture and engineering, which also offers a wide range of studies, all at an affordable price. NDSU keeps every student connected and engaged in a variety of interests and has a strong athletic program: Go, Bisons! NDSU is big, but not too big--it's hometown.
Tips for prospective students NDSU is straight-forward, but laid back. The university is great but just goes about setting the table for your future. The campus is laid out well, is attractive, and the people of Fargo are friendly. The students at Fargo are the same too. If you're looking for a good education at a great price, without getting lost in the shuffle, you might like it here.
Academic Rigor The professors are helpful. The coursework is interesting and challenging and the university keeps the student on track with the student's intended goals. The administration makes sure the student doesn't stay undecided about life.
Dorm Life Dorm life is good. Good-enough space to live and study. The food is good, too.
Food and Dining Cannot complain about the food. There are a number of food plans and a nice selection of foods that are offered.
What to do for fun Bison sports are always good. The Wellness Center is a place to burn off energy and meet friends. The inter-mural sports are great. Off-campus you might want to go to Buffalo Wild Wings...
Bang for the buck Tuesdays, Buffalo Wild Wings.
Great for these types of students Engineering & agricultural students like it here; but anyone who wants a big education for an affordable price will definitely like it here.
Campus Safety NDSU is probably the safest campus there can be.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences I really enjoy the atmosphere at NDSU. It's inexpensive, has friendly people, and has numerous opportunities to get involved on campus. Though I don't like the weather in the Winter, it is completely worth it.
Tips for prospective students Make sure that you apply for housing early so that you get the hall that you want. Be sure to get enough sleep! Do not procrastinate, exercise often, and get involved!
Academic Rigor I feel challenged in some classes, while others are easier. I have enjoyed nearly all of my classes so far.
Dorm Life I was somewhat worried about this. I'm not fond of community bathrooms, but it turned out to be a great experience. I was able to meet a bunch of people.
Food and Dining There are three locations to choose from to eat. They are all buffet style. Though the hours are not always ideal, there are great places to eat.
What to do for fun There are over 200 student organizations on campus, so there should be one that fits your choosing. The Wellness Center is a great place to work out at, rock climb, and just have some fun!
Bang for the buck NDSU definitely is inexpensive, but the quality of education is definitely there.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Babbling brook is a place outside where there is a Wifi hotspot. You can hang out and just enjoy a beautiful day.
Great for these types of students Great for those that are OK with North Dakota Winters!
Clubs and Activities There are many to choose from!

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences NDSU is a great school for people who are interested in learning. The professors are easy to get a long with and generally are very caring. NDSU also offers a lot of different activities on campus that can help you advance your learning skills.
Tips for prospective students Utilize the tutoring center when you are having troubles with some classes. NDSU is very good at understanding and working with students and their different skill levels.
Academic Rigor I am rating the academic rigor at a 4 because I think we learn a lot and get our money worth each semester.
Dorm Life The dorm life is very fun for your freshman year and I would recommend it for all new freshmen.
Food and Dining The food and dining center is awesome. There is such a variety of choices. I rate it a 5.
What to do for fun There are many different activities to do all the time. There is bowling, co-ed sports, a gym, swimming pool, shopping and just a wide variety of things. There is never a dull moment.
Bang for the buck I rate NDSU a 4. Most of the material learned is very useful. But at every college there is that one class or two that feels like its useless and a waste of money.
Great for these types of students At NDSU there is a wide variety of students. I feel that no one culture is excluded and that everyone mixes well and works good together.
Campus Safety Campus safety is a 5. There is security everywhere. There are also blue poles that have emergency phones in them. I feel very safe all the time.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences I think it's a great campus with great dorm, food, and people. The staff is great and I feel teachers know their information almost to the point of too much. Overall it's a great college for the price.
Tips for prospective students You come here and you will be part of the herd right away :D
Academic Rigor Not too bad with the classes, but it really depends on what you're used to and the teachers you end up with.
Dorm Life Sometimes it's busy and fun, others it can be slow and a little boring. Just get out there and meet people
Food and Dining Meal plan is the way to go :D
What to do for fun Explore Fargo with a car. Or just party around all over near campus. visit MSUM or whatever.
Bang for the buck Valuable education from well known school for very cheap.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Show up and find out :D
Great for these types of students Those who are willing to stay close to the same place a lot. Those who want to get away from parents but still be within driving distance. oh wait anyone works!!!
Clubs and Activities Lot of options with the possibility of creating your own
Greek Life Lots of frats and sororities. They party weak compared to NDSU, but still like to host and then they do have a lot of involvement in the community
Campus Safety One star because Fargo police is brutally strict. lol

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences ndsu has been a great experience with very friendly professors and students. the campus is extremely safe along with the city. and it is a great value.
Tips for prospective students look for a school that has the main major you are leaning towards but also other ones you would also consider if you end up wanting to switch majors.
Academic Rigor some of the classes are going to be pretty easy but the sciences can be quite a challenge and courses within your major can be very difficult and require a lot of work that you were never required to do in high school.
Dorm Life i love living on campus. it allowed me to meet my roommate who has turned out to be my best friend and allows you to meet so many people you would have never met otherwise. the dorms are very nice and well kept and the ra's are a great help.
Food and Dining there are three dining centers on campus all of which have pretty good food and a lot of options. but on the weekends only one of the dining centers is open so it can get very hectic and crowded.
What to do for fun there is a ton to do for fun. in the residence halls there are always programs that are enjoyable for the most part. and there is free bowling on the weekend, club ndsu, a free movie theatre and much more.
Campus Safety very safe.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences ndsu overall is very good. i have made many new friends though clubs, activities, and classes. the teachers here are very understanding and want to help.
Tips for prospective students get involved, it is the best way to meet people. surround yourself with people that you want to become. don`t mix up partying and studying, but still have fun!
Academic Rigor the classes are difficult but there are many ways that students can get by. ndsu offers tutoring centers, study groups, and the staff want to help there students. students will have to work but it is possible.
Dorm Life needs to me more activities. the ra`s are horrible and mean. the bathrooms are gross.
Food and Dining very good! the staff are very nice and make it a fine experience. the grill is an awesome component. also, they just got low calorie food.
What to do for fun go off campus. although, they offer movie nights, wellness center activities, and christian groups.
Bang for the buck yes, i would recommend ndsu from the schooling aspect. my teachers have always been more then willing to help but the student has to contact them.
Clubs and Activities many different clubs! everyone can find a way to become involved.
Greek Life i am personalty not in greek, but everybody i know loves it! i am considering rushing next year.
Campus Safety lots of police. i feel very safe here. it feels there are officers at every corner.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences ndsu is a good place to go for agricultural majors.
i have found staff to be helpful & fair.
dorm life is fun, but the rooms are way too small!Tips for prospective students i would recommend using the resources that are available to you. ask students that have already taken the classes you are taking, if they have any helpful hints to survive the class.
Academic Rigor my classes are hard, but interesting. i have a lot of hands on with the animals, which makes it fun.
Dorm Life i have a great roommate, we have a lot of fun together. i have made a point of making friends with a lot of the girls on my floor.
Food and Dining dining is ok, but i find that most are not too healthy & not enough choices.
What to do for fun ndsu has a great fitness center, i love the yoga. there is also a movie theathre and bowling alley for fun.
Campus Safety parking lots should be monitored better, i have been approached by people in the parking lot that have made me feel uncomfortable.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences ndsu is a good, medium sized campus with a hometown feel. the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, so are fellow students. overall it is a great school with a great campus with great people.
Tips for prospective students find your way around before classes start, and make sure you have enough time to make it from class to class especially if you have classes at the downtown campus.
Academic Rigor the classes are all pretty easy, at least the classes that i've taken. i've never really had a problem with school though so it may be more challenging for others. i took 19 credits fall semester and had 6 a's and 2 b's and i took mid-level classes.
Dorm Life i live off-campus but took a tour of the dorms, some of the older ones are a little dated but the newer ones are nice and are within a good distance of the mall and places to eat.
Food and Dining i've never eaten on campus but there is an awesome selection of places to choose from. they have a sub shop, taco bell, pizza place and the cafeteria looks like it serves decent food.
What to do for fun there is a bowling alley and the wellness center that has a lot of things to keep you active and tons of extra-curricular activities as well.
Bang for the buck some of the course fees are a little high and of course books are always expensive. but compared to the other university i went to it was average.
Clubs and Activities tons of clubs to choose from! no matter what you like to do you will probably find a club that you will fit into.
Campus Safety i see the campus police patrolling constantly and its very comforting to know that they are out doing their job.

Tips for prospective students apply early and don't be afraid to ask questions. the admissions staff is very nice and knowlegable. if they don't know the answer to your question, they will refer you to someone who does.
Great for these types of students ndsu offers some unique programs such as emergency management. this degree program is not offered at many colleges in the midwest.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences the most amazing school ever. everything you would like to become is offered here. ndsu has the best tutoring place in north dakota.
Tips for prospective students get involved but don't get too involved, you'll get overwhelmed with everything. study and do your homework before going to do something fun for example a party on the weekend.
Academic Rigor a very good school for academics.
Dorm Life dorm life is pretty good. meeting new people is always fun.
Food and Dining the best food and dining services ever. the staff is always so nice too.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences on a scale of 1 out 10 and 10 being the best score, i would rate ndsu a 7. why i gave ndsu a 7 is because tranferring here was a difficult process along not having help from the adminstration made registering classes tough. i think that the teachers and the homework they give makes understanding the courses easier.
Tips for prospective students my tip for a prospective student would be to choose ndsu first before going to another college and then transferring.
Academic Rigor the professors do a great job on teaching the material and giving homework that helps to understand the concepts.
Dorm Life i never lived in the dorms.
Food and Dining i never ate at the dining centers.
What to do for fun for fun i like to go to the union and watch movies. ndsu has relatively new movies playing in an auditorium that students can come and watch for free.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences great campus! great people! not much to do outside of campus though.
Tips for prospective students talk to everyone you possibly can and ask as many questions as possible. don't get discouraged if someone shoots you down. it rarely happens and you just met the one bad apple out of a thousand good ones. this will not only get you aquanited to college but will give you friends and other's experiences to learn from.
Academic Rigor general ed classes are about as much as you can expect them to be. the sciences do a decent job keeping your interest and the math classes are pretty tough. the nice thing about it is there seems to always be someone somewhere available to help. if you really want help you will be able to find someone. even if that person is fron a completely different department they are willing to help you out. the majority of staff here at ndsu are really nice.
Dorm Life dorms are small but nice. the free laundry and attatched dining centers make it worth it. watch out for their pairing system. they seem to have poor luck with matching people together.
Food and Dining actually really good variety of foods and options. they shut down really early in the evening so there is no chance to snack and you can't bring food back to your dorm. but they are fast acting when it comes to requests and suggestions.
What to do for fun there are a few campus activities but not much. which is ok if you are like me and taking a million classes that require studying. most of the time it is watching a free movie at the union or working out with friends at their amazing (free for students!) wellness center. they have zumba!! and rock climbing, and indoor tracks.
Bang for the buck free movies in the memorial union every week. and most of them are really recent or really good. free bus rides for students to walmart and the mall (whichever you prefer :-) ) free wellness center and classes for students. free laundry for those living in dorms. and an almost endless buffet of food for those on the meal plan. always someone somewhere on campus giving away free t-shirts. free doctor appointments and visits at wellness center. internet service. cheap price for credits when a lot of classes have one on one with the teacher (meaning you will learn and probably retain more information).
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus tunnels above and below ground connecting buildings because it gets soooo cold here. last week it was -26*f with an additional wind chill. yep. i used the tunnels.
Great for these types of students want to learn with a one on one atmosphere and get to know their teachers.
Clubs and Activities too many to count. you name they probably have it. just the other day heard somone talking about a boardgame club. my friend and i have been on rugby and coed football teams.
Campus Safety feel pretty safe. always see the patrol people mulling around campus 24/7. you can even flag them down or call them and they will give you an escorted ride back to dorm without questions.

Categories Rating Comments Am enjoying being here I love all of the different activities that are available on and around campus. There are a number of different clubs in which students can get involved. The Tri-collage opens even more opportunities to students for class options. If NDSU does not offer a particular class that you are interested in you can take that class from Moorhead State or Concordia.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you have a windbreaker. Your definition of a slight breeze will change. It is almost always good kite flying weather.
Don't worry if you do not have a car students can ride the bus for free.Login to rate or flag the reviews

Categories Rating Comments Academic Rigor Professors here are easy to relate to. They offer help constantly, so be sure to ask questions. NDSU is a student-based university where they care about us, before all the fancy awards and recognition. They want us to learn. NDSU is close to the rankings as a high prestigious university like Yale. It’s just cheaper! They offer many programs like pharmacy, architecture, business, agriculture, and many more! Classes move at a fair pace and I have learned a lot in my classes. You will not be disappointed! When you leave NDSU as a graduate you will have new knowledge and know how to conquer in your future profession!
Am enjoying being here I love it on NDSU campus! Everyone is friendly. The atmosphere in the dorms is great, especially the high rise dorms. Classmates are friendly. Remember that you are in a new surrounding and can show who you truly are and find great friends who you will be friends with throughout life! The campus is beautiful and there are so many activities going on to keep you busy and get you involved. Be sure to get involved! It makes a huge difference in how you will experience college, especially your first year when you are still learning.
Bang for the buck Tuition here is reasonable! It is about $7,100 for in-state and it is only around $16,000 for an out-of-state which does not include Minnesota and some of the surrounding states which get their tuition for a little bit more than a ND resident. Teachers here are willing to help and schedule appointments to help you with any troubles you are having in their classes. They make sure all of your questions are answered. They want you to learn and if you ask, they will help!
Tips for prospective students Take a campus tour! You will fall in love with this campus the moment you step foot here. There are a lot of different organizations, so get involved! Enjoy college and come with an open mind!
Great for these types of students This university is great for students who like personal attention. They also don't want to be lost in the crowd. NDSU is a great campus to be on and easy to navigate. It is the perfect size of about 14,000, but it feels smaller. You definitely will stand out and be able to make your own path here!

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The classes are entirely different than high school. I found out the hard way when I failed one of my classes. I have to study a lot more in college and in return, I learn more information that way. The only thing that sucks the most is that it seems like every class has their grades based on tests which some people may be good students but may be horrible at tests.
Am enjoying being here I love the events at NDSU especially the sporting events. I don't nessarily enjoy living in the residence halls because I would rather live in my own area where there isn't a public bathroom.
Tips for prospective students Always make sure you know what you are signing up for and keep good grades in college because one bad grade could hurt you in the future and you would have to retake the class
Great for these types of students NDSU has a great Pharmacy program, but you really have to be motivated in order to get into the program.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The teachers employed by this college are truly at the top of their class and provide an excellent learning environment for their students. Classes are difficult and challenging but not terribly frustrating. I leave every class feeling like I actually learned something! I can't say that for every college that I have attended.
Am enjoying being here There are so many opportunities on campus! Greek life, extracurriculars, intramurals, local competitions, dances, meetings and basically anything you can think of! It is absurd how many things you can throw yourself into upon campus, be it musical or theatrical arts, or sports and eating competitions. The campus offers a wide array of free student amenities such as a very well equipped gym and many study areas including a beautiful library and a very social student center.
Bang for the buck This college has slightly higher expenses but I believe every penny is worth it. NDSU offers so many student opportunities that it seems you are being sincerely under charged.
Tips for prospective students This college is truly a massive one, the campus can be intimidating with its size and class loads. All you have to do is make it through the difficult task of learning the layout of the campus and finding your own pace of scholastics, after that this college becomes your oyster. Apply yourself to as many things as you can! Don't let yourself miss out!
Great for these types of students Students who really enjoy the social life. To get the most out of your college expenses it is a great idea to utilize the campus sponsored activities and complexes.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Some of the Classes may be difficult, but I have learned a lot. Even though I have not taken many classes yet, I am being challenged every day.
Am enjoying being here There are so many activities on campus that it's virtually impossible to not make a ton of friends! I enjoy getting together with some friends and going to the Wellness Center to play some racquetball, climb the rock wall, lift weights, play soccer, play volleyball, or just go running on the indoor track.
Bang for the buck The education I have received has definitely exceeded my expectations considering how much I am spending to attend NDSU! There is so much to do and the instructors are easy to talk to, make themselves available to talk anytime, and they do a phenomenal job.
Tips for prospective students My number one tip for attending NDSU is to make sure that you immediately start working hard on studying for classes. The classes are tough compared to high school. The next tip: get involved. There are so many groups at NDSU, there is no way you can't find one that shares common interests with you! There are many sororities and fraternities in addition to clubs ranging from gamers guild to rugby club. If you want to check out what clubs we have just check out this link: http://ndsu.orgsync.com/#search_orgs
Great for these types of students North Dakota State University is for any student who desires a quality education! There are plenty activities to do and the class sizes are relatively small compared to other universities. If you are looking for an education and don't want to have to take out fifty loans to get an education, check out NDSU. It's a blast!
