Categories Rating Comments In three sentences NMCC is dedicated to helping students succeed with multiple resources, including mentoring, tutoring and an Academic Success Center. The teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. There are many programs to choose from.
Tips for prospective students Keep track of paperwork needed to apply and where you are in the process (this applies to all schools). Keep a folder with all needed information. Complete paperwork in a timely fashion.
Academic Rigor The Registered Nursing Program is challenging. It requires dedication and hard work. Take advantage of resources available to help students.
Dorm Life I haven't stayed in the dorms myself, but the students say they are very comfortable
Food and Dining The cafeteria offers very good food with a variety of choices. The bookstore also offers quick meals such as soups, sandwiches and salads.
What to do for fun Northern Maine is a great place for outdoor activities year round. Big Rock is nearby for downhill skiing.
Bang for the buck Research the cost of the program you want to pursue. It is very affordable.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There is a great nursing lab and an amazing simulation lab for nurses. They host lots of campus entertainment, such as film night.
Great for these types of students NMCC is great for students looking to get an associates degree in two years. You can also start off in liberal studies until you get in to the program you want, getting some of the core classes done.
Clubs and Activities There are many clubs and activities on campus.
Campus Safety The campus is a very safe place.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences northern maine community college is a great college, it's a great environment to be around most everybody gets along and works together to get problems solved. the food hear is great and one of the cleanest colleges i have been to. the athletics here aren't so great but they are starting to get better.
Tips for prospective students you just have to keep your head up even when you fail a test because the first semester is the hardest until you get to know your instructors and how they test you and the way everything works.
Academic Rigor use your time wisely and go to open labs every chance you have to catch up or get ahead of the class. you will have a better outcome at the end of the year and if you have trouble with a class i suggest that you go to the academic success center for a tutor.
Dorm Life dorm life is good everybody gets along well.
Food and Dining the food is great,my favorite is the chicken burgers they make with there secret sauce.
What to do for fun there is a ton of things to do for fun, every once and a while they have a bingo night for anybody to go in and win prizes the ra's always have activities going on and are posted on every entrance door so you don't miss out on the fun.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Northern Maine Community College (NMCC) is smaller than most colleges which allows for more one-on-one with teachers and students. The resources that this school offers to help the students understand pretty much all fields is a greatly used. They will help in every possible way.
Am enjoying being here I love being at NMCC because everybody stays to themselves and the atmosphere of the school is peaceful so that you can focus on your school work. It is an all around good place to be,
Bang for the buck Its cheap and affordable.
Tips for prospective students Look for your classrooms that you have signed up for because being that lost guy on your first day of classes is embarrassing.
Great for these types of students All types. It has Vocational Majors to Liberal Majors.
