    If you are looking for a great staff and counselors willing to advance and help you better your education, then look no further phoenix is the college.

    Academic Rigor well i am not sure what this is asking for sure however I believe academic rigor is high at a high standard in this college. The community college is a distinctly American contribution to higher education. Nowhere else in the world can one find such commitment to access to higher education.

    Well I have heard that the dorm life for some is good however the dorm life for me would be difficult as i have 5 kids and we wouldn't all fit..lol

    Well I am doing my courses on-line although i have ate at the cafeteria and the food was great and they serve great food. rating is a 3

    I love to fish and hunt and am always spending time in the outdoors. I love to camp and just enjoy the outdoors and the wild animals, not to mention the smell of the outdoors.

    uop is a great school and is there with you every step of the way. the online learning system is basic; you can't get lost. uop is a school that fits in your busy lifestyle and trust me you will feel at home.

    the academic team at uop is outstanding; they call you every week to see if your get things done or need help with anything. they offer workshops to help you with the areas your having problems in. the resource room is available to us six days a week.

    classes at uop are smaller then regular college class. they offer online and on campus class.

    this great for people who are parents and no time for regular school. if your returning after so many years out of school. all is good even you have a busy lifestyle.

    the safety at uop is great. armed officers and you need a school id. no one can't just walk on campus. they have a zero understanding for the crazy stuff.

    Am learning a lot

    I've only taken 4 classes so far so most of them are general credits. Therefore, I haven't learned a whole lot. I hope to learn more as I get into more advanced classes.

    I take courses online so there isn't a whole lot to enjoy about being here. The teachers and academic counselors are helpful, but that's really all I can say about it.

    In my search for online schools, I actually found this to be an affordable option. My student loans pay my whole way so far and I think it will be worth the money.

    The work may seem easy at first, but don't be fooled. This college is just like any other and it takes hard work to get through it; not that it's overly difficult either. Make sure you set aside time each day to do your work and check your assignment calender often.

    Anyone who wants to go to school online, anyone who is busy with work or kids, people is irregular sleep schedules (you can post your homework any time as long as it is in before 11pm Arizona time), people who can only handle a few classes at a time.

    The classes here are very informational depending on what kind of student you are, you may have to switch a teacher or two, because I'll admit some of these teachers don't know how to connect with younger people. But the information they give is still very useful.

    I love it at school, I never thought just walking the campus would be fun, there are so many different groups just around the campus, some dance, some sing, some even just talk to passing people to get to know someone new, I like this school a lot.

    The classes here are all very good, when I was a Prospective student i took tours threw the classes, and all of them seemed like fun, so you will definitely get your bang for the buck.

    notes,notes,notes,study,study,study, and that's about it. if you take good notes and study them just 20 minutes a day you will be a successful student.

    The type of student that likes live people, not just people that will walk by you and say nothing, but people who will stop and ask you questions and get to know you because you look like a cool person.

    University of Phoenix, Arizona online college is an excellent and well maintained curriculum for individuals who otherwise would not be able to attend a traditional college. It provides excellent curriculum and offers learning material that is challenging, interesting, and taught by accredited instructors that not only teach the material but work in the fields he or she teaches. The online courses provided by the University of Phoenix, Arizona campus allow students to learn based on his or her own schedule which is a wonderful option for individuals that have a daily schedule that disallows traditional college courses.

    Online courses are fast paced and tedious at times, stay on top of all of the assignment requirements, read all material thoroughly, and know the curriculum expectations. Although the courses can be tedious, just as in traditional schooling, the teaching of the instructors is exceptional and the learning capabilities is dependent on the student and his or her desire to succeed. Online courses require students to be self-disciplined and focused.

    The academic rigor of the online courses are although fast passed, not overly dramatic in the processes. If an individual is self-disciplined with attending courses daily, he or she can fully succeed in learning online curriculum.

    The Theater Program that Phoenix College offers has given me many opportunities to improve my acting abilities. Because it is a community college, there is a small number of students in class which makes it easier to have one-on-one time with your professors. From class to class, or library to the student union, everything is closer in proximity which makes it easier to get where you need to go rather having to walk twenty minutes to get to class or the sort.

    Always be involved in a group or activity that can benefit the career you wish to pursue. When being involved, not only will that motivate you to succeed, but you also have to opportunity to broaden your connections with the friends you make.

    Depending on the area of study you are going into, mostly all majors will have a tendency to have a rigor, or harshness to it. By doing the work no matter how hard it is, you are proving not only to the professor but yourself that anything is possible. Again, it all depends on the source of study you are going into because not all majors share the same severity.

    There is no dorm life at Phoenix College.

    At the moment, the cafeteria is being remodeled so there is a substitute cafeteria in the meantime. From tiny snacks, to Papa John's, it provides just enough food for those who are extremely hungry or for those who just need a quick energy boost. There is a lot of outside tables and benches to eat and enjoy the coming summer weather as well.

    The school provided countless activities to do for fun. In the Student Union, there is a game room for those who want to play some video games or a quick game of pool.

    There is constant patrolling in the student parking lots from security and there are cameras in the parking lot as well as around campus that are always on. Throughout the day, security guards will walk around campus which gives student's to feel safe when going to class or leaving to go home at in the darkest hours of night.

    phoenix college is centrally located near downtown phoenix and is easily accessible from all major highways. pc offers a diverse population of programs allowing you to go far, close to home. also, pc offers small classes allowing students the opportunity to receive an individualized learning experience.

    because the school is so much smaller than state universities, the work can often times seem easier because the instructors are so readily available to assist you in any way they can.

    phoenix college does not offer student housing, however, they do have housing boards available around campus for students to post rental property listings and roommate want ads.

    pc offers a cafeteria with hot cooked meals, and even papa johns pizza! also, there are numerous snack and drink vending machines areound campus, offering water, soda, juice, powerade, and energy drinks! most accept electronic payment.

    phoenix college just recently opened their brand new student union, supplying students with a coffee bar serving starbucks brand products, a comfortable setting to study and surf the web, as well as a game room, containing two lcd tv's for video games, a pool table and a ping pong table.

    at only $76 a credit hour, maricopa county community colleges offer students the opportunity to receive a high quality education at a cost less than half the price of state universities.

    phoenix college has helped me begin my college education. it has helped me go beyond my limits, and it had a variety of tutors available to help me whenever i struggled throughout the semester. it's teachers are also well-informed and very much capable of answering any questions on their subject.

    starting out at a new school may seem a little daunting at first, but there's no need to stress about not finding your way around campus. not only are there maps available, but there are also many approachable teachers and students around campus willing to help a new student find their way around campus. also, if one finds themselves struggling to solve a problem or edit an essay, there are also available tutors ready to help one succeed in class and school.

    for the most part, all the classes are quite good at assuring that the course content is understood well by the student by the end of the semester.

    i cannot judge dorm life since i still live at home with my family while attending phoenix college.

    the cafeteria offers a lot of great and delicious food ready to go. any food that isn't already made can be prepared within 10 minutes or less. there are also some great restaurants around the campus that serve just as delectable food and are easily within walking distance.

    recently, the school constructed a student union designed for students to spend free time in relaxing. at the student union, students can also meet with other students in between classes to catch up or do group assignments. there is also a bear's den inside for students to buy coffee to sip while catching up with friends.

    this school is nice if you are someone who enjoys small classes and a small campus. they have air conditioning! they also have a high school on the osborn campus which many people do not know exists.

    the circle k on the corner of the campus has $0.89 slushies all year round, great for a pick me up before a class or after a long lecture. it is in phoenix in az, it does get hot here! however, this means shorts and tank tops are always in.

    read your syllabus! teachers here, or the ones that i have had, are laid back and welcome a challenge. however, just do the required work and show up and you'll pass easy.

    i have never seen any type of dorm for this school, i am not aware of pc having any.

    This college an assortment of classes from kickboxing and American Sign Language to your general requirements. Not only do you learn from teachers but students as well since there are people from all over the world studying here.

    The campus is vivid and lively with people always roaming and hanging out around campus. There are many nearby restaurants from all types of food and the Metro Light Rail is also just a 10-15 minute walk away. Construction has been going on in order to make a brand new Student Union with a Starbucks cafe and another unannounced building too.
    Bang for the buck

    Although tuition was raised last year, it's still quite affordable to take prerequisites here than any university. Financial aid may also provide a book advance or possible rent out textbooks while the school can make out payment plans.
    Tips for prospective students

    Arrive early if you want a parking space. Even though there are 2 parking lots, two-story parking lot, and parking meters, space is limited. You may find yourself driving in circles for 15 minutes at a time or be forced to park quite a walk away from classes.

    It is difficult to enjoy a college when you are constantly struggling with the teachers regarding their reasons for not following the grading rubic they designed.

    I guess that classes were appropriately priced for the information they were providing during courses.
    Great for these types of students

    I would only recommend this school for people who are interested in achieving a degree and have no problem not thinking only repeating what the teacher says.

    This college will be just like any other and it will take me hard work to get through it; not that it's overly difficult either. i'll make sure i set aside time each day to do my work and check my assignment calender often.

    The type of student that likes live people, not just people that will walk by me and say nothing, but people who will stop and ask me questions and get to know me because i look like a cool person

    Am learning a lot

    I'm currently taking some of the highest levels offered and this school has the perfect enviornment for it! The classes have about 15-35 students per class and the teachers make themselves easily available during or after school. I feel the professors make sure you understand what's being taught and allow opportunities during class to ask questions if you're not sure. These professors really know how to teach!
    Am enjoying being here

    The enviornment allows you to be relaxed and have a good time, yet you can get serious about your work at the same time if you want. Most people tend to be easy going here and friendly. In the math courses that I'm taking, I've become good friends with some of my fellow students and people in class is always so willing to help you out if you can't figure out how to solve a problem or if you're not understanding a concept. It's amazing how everyone's so willing to help eachother out!

    They have a variety of classes you can take, but the Honor's Program didn't offer many classes that I hadn't already taken that would go towards my degree. However, the Honor's Program did allow me to do a petition and I still received my honor's credits. And, of course, it's a lot cheaper going to PC than it is a university to get your associates!

    I've seen many different kinds of students attend PC and they all tend to fit in one way or another.

    The teachers here are very dedicated in making sure all the students understand the work. They are very good at going over things more then once so you can fully understand it. By the end of each class you will have left learning a lot of things.

    The campus is very nice and comfortable.

    The school is very good in reasoning with enrollment prices and financial aid and scholarships make it even easier to pay for school.

    Try Phoenix you can't go wrong. I have been in school now almost a year come Febuary 23, 2010.
