Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The teachers and curriculum here is outstanding. You will learn important things to help you further your career.
Am enjoying being here The campus is beautiful and small. It makes it easy to get up and go to class right before time and not worry about having to run to class. The dorms are very nice and clean. Yes, this includes the freshman dorms.
Bang for the buck The college may seem like a lot of money at first glance, but they offer great scholarships and finanical aid to everyone.
Tips for prospective students If you are thinking of choosing this school, or any school at all, make sure you visit the campus and stay overnight. It is important to meet the people there and see how well you connect with them. Do not worry, upperclassmen are not mean that is just in the movies. Visit every college you are interested in and make the right choice; it is must more convenient to stay at one college all four years rather than jumping around. Make sure you like the food, I know that sounds silly but you will starve if you do not like it. All in all, just have fun and get to know people!
Great for these types of students Outgoing and fun people. Diversity is really cherished at this school. Athletics department is amazing. People are want to join a sorority or fraternity WITHOUT the risk of being hazed. Our school has a strict NO hazing policy. Finally, anyone who wants an amazing academic adventure or interested in one of the best nursing programs in the state of North Carolina.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I just finished my first semester at Queens University of Charlotte and I absolutely love it! The classes are small - there are no classes with more than thirty students. The teachers are skilled and knowledgeable in what they teach. Teachers and students work together and between the professors and the Learning Center for Academic Success, they are determined to help the student learn.
Am enjoying being here The school is in a very affluent area in the city of Charlotte. The school is small and everything is within easy walking distance. Although Charlotte is a large city, you would never know it considering where the school is. The clubs and organizations within the school work hard to involve the students not only in the Queens community but within the Charlotte community.
Bang for the buck Although the tuition is high, the school is always willing to work with students to help them attend. The financial aid office will look for every scholarship and grant available to the student. The education level and the people make everything worth it. The school contains a number of traditions and clubs and sports and sororities/fraternities and opportunities to explore the city.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you visit Queens! The campus is beautiful and there are opportunities all year to spend the night with a student and attend classes the next day. It is the perfect opportunity to see if you fit!
Great for these types of students Queens is great for any student who wants to be in a close knit community and wants to learn and receive a great college education.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The professors are here to help you. They are very flexible to having meetings if you need additional help and there are even other areas on campus that are here to help you learn as much as possible, such as the center for academic success.
Am enjoying being here Even before you are a student here the students and faculty make you feel welcomed. You are one big community and there are always activities on campus hosted by the different organizations on campus. When you are at Queens being bored is never an option.
Tips for prospective students Be prepared and on top of assignments. Even though this is a small school and the professors are nice and understanding this is still a school and you have to stay focused and not get to rapped up in other things. Getting things done ahead of time prevents last minute work pile ups.
Great for these types of students Students looking for a small school.

Categories Rating Comments Will learn a lot The teaching staff seems great, and they have an amazing selection of undergrad programs.
What attracted me to the school in the first place was their international program. Around 90% of students at queens either do a summer study tour, or study abroad for a semester which is an AMAZING oppurtunity! Will enjoy being here The first time I visited campus was in the summer of 2010, it is so beautiful and just all around amazing. It is really small, but you are in a great neighborhood just a few minutes away from Downtown Charlotte. The buildings are very clean, even the doors, which is always good.
Bang for the buck Queens is expensive. But there are tons of financial aid options available for students, and the staff at Queens is more than willing to work with you. More scholarship money is available for more expensive schools, and all I can say is that you get what you pay for.
Tips for prospective students Definitely visit campus, and get acquainted with your admissions counselor! They are all super nice, and they will answer any and every question you have.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Queens is a small, close-knit community of students faculty and staff that make it easy and usually fun to learn. It had a beautiful campus and many varying living arrangements. its in the heart of Charlotte.
Tips for prospective students Applications are free so it is up to you to apply early for the best response time. Make sure that you have good grades and receive scholarships from other places to help with the cost.
Academic Rigor The teachers help you out as long as you ask questions, but you HAVE to ask. keep up with work, because it is easy to get behind.
Dorm Life Depending on where you live, it is a fun and happy community, like a home away from home. your Ra's will have fun games and activities to do. its just up to you to do them.
Food and Dining This too depends on the day. if you visit, the food will be good, but slowly goes downhill from there. we wait on the days that they have visitors. food will be good then.
What to do for fun you can literally walk downtown and there is so much to do there, movies that have full meals, bowling, many clubs, and restaurants. and there is a park not too far from school that is beautiful in the fall and spring.
Bang for the buck its pretty expensive, but i enjoy all the people that i meet and want to stay here for that , the small classes, and the friendly atmosphere.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus best thing are Casino night and Boars Head feast, they are the best parts of the fall semster. you have a lot of fun and everyone is invited.
Great for these types of students highschool loners flourish here, wierdos and very rich people honestly
Clubs and Activities if there isn't a club that you would join, they would fund one as long as you weren't the only one that wanted it. i have seen the swim club become the swim team.
Campus Safety haven't been a victim or even heard of anything happening here. and its a small school, the whole campus would hear the police or ambulance

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Queens is a great place to be if you like small schools. The people are great and there is a great diversity in students. Charlotte is a great city to be in at night.
Tips for prospective students Before you decide to attend, make sure you think about your other options. Queens is a great school but is very expensive for a lot of people. Try to get as much scholarships and aids!
Academic Rigor Classes at Queens are small and discussion based. It is important to work very hard in classes because some are rigorous while other may not be.
Dorm Life Depending on what dorm you live in, life can be great! Living in freshmen dorm is not all that bad but is not as great as upperclassmen dorm. You'll just have to wait until another year!
Food and Dining There isn't much choice for food and dining on campus for students who do not have a car. There are some places walking distance about 10 minutes or more but other than that there aren't much option. There is a cafe or dining hall and Lion's Den.
What to do for fun I had a lot more fun first semester of my freshmen year but that was because I did not get a lot of work done. For fun, I do like to go out with friends to the club or play sports outside. There are also other on campus activities that go on.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences I didn't know what university I wanted to attend when I applied to Queen's. I hardly ever thought about even attending Queen's, but when I went for my first campus visit, I KNEW I HAD TO GO HERE. The atmosphere is amazing, filled with welcoming students and teachers. Everyone is willing to go out of their way to aid you in anything you need. I am looking forward to starting out my fall as a Royal.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences beautiful campus in the middle of charlotte. small school where everyone knows each other, it is a tight knit community. professors know you by name and are willing to help.
Tips for prospective students make sure that you want to go to a small liberal arts school. people know you by name and expect you to be involved on campus as well as off.
Academic Rigor professors expect the best from you.
Dorm Life it is nice to live on campus, you can get to any class within 5 mins. right now there is a lot of construction and it is kind of annoying. i am in nursing school and it is not worth living on campus anymore because all of the classes are off campus now.
Food and Dining there is not a lot to choose from. the cafeteria is not that great and doesn't open up before my morning classes so its not really worth getting a meal plan.
What to do for fun there is a lot to do around campus and off. there is plenty to do to get involved on and off campus. charlotte is so much fun.
Bang for the buck its expensive and continues to go up evrey semester, so be prepared for that, but the professors are amazing and love what they do(most of them).
Campus Safety this is a very safe area and campus police are great! i always feel safe on campus.
