Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Not only have I learned a lot academically from my teachers and peers, I have learned a lot about myself. Rowan has provided me with great teachers who enjoy teaching their class and always are there for extra help!
Am enjoying being here At first I attended University of Delaware where I did not feel comfortable at all. After I came to Rowan in the Spring 2009, I immediately felt welcome and accpeted on the medium size campus. I loved my housing assignment and location of it. During my time here I am making many friends and having a lot of fun.
Bang for the buck Every college is expensive in this economy but Rowan's tuition is great compared to most universities. They have also reached out and offered many loan options for me.
Tips for prospective students Rowan may seem like a small school, too close to home, or not located in a good area. Those are the reasons I did not visit at first. But after visiting a friend there, I immediately fell in love with the school, its welcoming atmosphere and everything about it. Don't let misconceptions or ideas hold you back from visiting Rowan. It's definitely making a lot of positive changes to expand the campus. Not everyone goes home on the weekends - a lot of people stay!
Great for these types of students If you're not into a huge school but you're afraid of a small school, Rowan is perfect for you. Because Rowan is a Division 3 college and has only about 10,000 students it is easy to get involved and play sports competitively or just for fun. It has a great Education Program if you are interested in that. Around campus there is also a good social life with a variety of people.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I am a Broadcast Journalism major but I have taken a few classes outside of the major for requirements and have loved them. This past semester i took Meteorology not just because I needed to fulfill a science requirement but because I am very interested in the nature and weather of our planet. I am learning so much at Rowan that will help me in the future and the real world.
Am enjoying being here I love being at Rowan. The campus is pretty big but there are some great buildings and services. The social life is great and weekend activities are never in short supply thanks to Rowan After Hours. The cafeteria has a great selection. The dorms are really great as well. My freshman dorm was pretty big and i made tons of friends just in my hallway.
Bang for the buck The courses and professors are really worth the tuition. And some of the professors have had their fame. My professor for Journalism Principles and Practices wrote the text books and has appeared on many news television programs. Also all the professors i have taken are always willing to help each and every student.

Categories Rating Comments Will learn a lot I'm excited to see what Rowan's classes have to offer within my major of education. My boyfriend loves his classes and professors. He says they are really approachable! He is a GIS major.
Will enjoy being here My boyfriend goes to Rowan and he loves it! I visited there and he took me on a tour and i fell in love with the campus and all it has to offer!
Bang for the buck I plan to commute and that hacks off$10000 off the tuition right there!
Tips for prospective students Keep focus and stay on top of things with the application progress...it take a while

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I'm a double major in Theatre Arts and Fine Arts. I couldn't be happier. I have Professors that are available everyday anytime to talk about anything I need to talk about. The Professors are very passionate and talented in what they do and are more than willing to share their experiences with us. There is also a great deal of support available and opportunity, no matter what year you are in. As a Freshman I was able to design one student production already. There is not barrier for you to succeed. The philosophy of most professors in my particular area is that one can only learn by living it. Thus from the first year and beyond, students are immersed in the Main Stage Productions and learn on the job. This is great for us because it helps us discover our practical strengths and weakness as well as it shows us how to apply techniques taught in theory. I been learning a lot from my professors. Another wonderful thing is the learning that happens among peers. Because of our program size we develop close relationships with our peers. This friendly intermingling of Juniors and Seniors with Freshman and Sophomores allows for a mutual exchange of knowledge that develops strong professionals after 4 years.
Am enjoying being here It might sound crazy, but an University with 10,000 students couldn't be more intimate than Rowan. From the friendly professors to an openminded campus of friends. Every student makes strong bonds here.
Bang for the buck Simply the amount of individual attention you have here from professors is incredible. The University could improve some of the theatre facilities. But the price is great.
Tips for prospective students Like any college, go the tour and ask at lest 4 students what they think about the school. At Rowan though you are welcomed to email, call and arrange a visit to meet any professor or department chair and ask them any questions you may have or your parents may have about the school.
Great for these types of students Passionate, Creative, and that want practical experience in their field.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I am a Junior Theatre Design Major at Rowan. I love it so much! I am from MA and passed up NY theater school because I feel Rowan has one of the best programs. All there teachers are currently working in and around the Philadelphia area and some even in New York City. They are always getting us professional jobs and know how to live a successful theater life. There are so many opportunities for students to work in their field of choice. You don't have to wait until your are an upperclassmen like most schools. As a freshmen I was already assisting the designer with the painting of the sets and working in the student run Lab Theatre as a designer and stage manager. Also the theater department at Rowan is a big family. Everyone knows everyone and are instant friends. When you graduate from Rowan as a Theater Major you leave well rounded and prepared to do anything in the theater world. Other theater programs do not do this for you. If you are looking for a great program Rowan has it. And if you ever want more information students are always excited to talk about the program and hand out their contact information like candy. Apply! You will not regret it.
Bang for the buck I live out of state and I'm paying less than I would if I went to a school in the state I am from.
Tips for prospective students Contact the head of the department - they are always looking to answer questions and love helping interested students with anything they need
Great for these types of students Theater Arts

Bang for the buck i do not believe we get what we are paying for most of rowans professors are adjuncts im not pay 25,000 a year to have all adjunct professors. there is never any parking and the meal plans and dorms are way over priced and not what should be expected

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences the school is great. everyone wants to help you with all different types of academic work. also, there is something for everyone.
Tips for prospective students look up teachers before you add classes to make sure the teachers you get are ones you will like. it is also a good idea to get most books from amazon, half, and current students.
Academic Rigor some classes can be hard and others are easy. it all depends on the teachers and classes you take.
Dorm Life the rooms are not the largest but the communities in the halls are great.
Food and Dining there is all different types of food which taste like jersey food. there are 4 main places to get food and each offers different types of food such as wraps, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, salad, tacos, pancakes, bagels, cheese-steaks and more.
What to do for fun rah and sup events can be very fun. on saturdays you can go into philly for free or you can hang around glassboro. there is also a mall about 20 minutes away if you know anyone with a car, and there is a mini strip-mall about a 10 minute walk away where you can get your nails done, go tanning, get food, etc.
Bang for the buck the school is pretty cheap compared to other schools and has a lot to offer.
Great for these types of students all types of students.
Clubs and Activities there are so many clubs and activities and if you can not find any clubs you like, you can create a new club.
Campus Safety we have blue lights all over campus and you can see at least 2 from every one you are next to. if you are in trouble you can press the button on a blue light and you will be helped quickly

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I transferred to Rowan from a small community college, and the difference in classes is astounding. I have been enrolled for a little over a month and I've learned so much already.
Am enjoying being here Rowan has a friendly atmosphere, and there are literally dozens of activities going on around campus to help you meet new people with similar interests,
Bang for the buck You learn a lot for the money you are paying for tuition, and depending on what dorm you decide to live in, the housing is valuable as well.
Tips for prospective students Scholarships are a must. Apply early and apply often. If you have questions about loans or grants, talk to the financial aid office. They are very helpful.
Great for these types of students Great for anyone who wants a genuine college experience without being too far from home.
