Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Saint Luke's is a small school which is a plus because you get to know your instructors. They also have a state of the art simulation lab that helps students learn and practice techniques in a safe fun way. Both of these things greatly increase the amount you can learn and decreases anxiety that goes along with nursing school.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you get the suggested books. They are so helpful! Also if you are thinking about going into nursing and have the patience for it, go for a bachelors nursing program. It will pay off in the long run!
Academic Rigor Saint Luke's just changed thier program which has made classes flow together better, decreasing the stress and workload. Classes and knowledge just seem to fall into place.
Food and Dining Westport is one of my favorite places in Kansas City. You are in close proximity to the Plaza as well which means that you are close to ethnic cheap food (Westport) and nicer out on the town food (Plaza).
What to do for fun Plaza and Westport are full of shops and bars. It is also close to downtown Kansas City which has plenty of shops, movie theaters, and Power and Light which is a fun late night setting. One of my favorite things to do downtown is go to the river market which is a mix of farmers market, antique malls and Asian markets. The zoo and IMAX theater are also close. The best part about Kansas City is that there are so many parks that you can forget that you are in the city. Anytime I am getting overwhelmed I go to the lake and unwind. It makes hard classes seem that much easier.

Categories Rating Comments Academic Rigor this school has a small class size and great group of teachers/administration. they are overly willing to teach, stay after, and be one on one with you to give you any help they can. they want you to succeed! the school is affiliated with st. luke's hospital so they have their own access to teaching hospitals and the hospitals welcome you just as much as the college did. there is an over whelming feeling of unity and prosperity in st. luke’s that you feel immediately. it is a great school and great environment for learning.
Bang for the buck its a bsn program at a private school. it is costly but still not as bad as some of the surrounding schools and you get a more focused one on one education. the staff actually cares and it isn't about a pay check.
Tips for prospective students go if you like small focused atmosphere. prepare to study it is a bsn program after all.
Great for these types of students students accustomed to small school/classrooms. students who might need more one on one with their teachers to learn certain things. students who like it when teachers know your name because they care.
