Categories Rating Comments In three sentences I love Southeastern Illinois College because it has different clubs and groups that anyone can join, and sometimes they go on some fun end of the year trips. They also have some incredible teachers that are so passionate about teaching that it makes learning fun. Also if you prefer a smaller campus then SIC is for you!
Academic Rigor Most of the teachers on campus go by the handbook, but there some teachers that don't even care if you come to class. They don't punish you because it's not their fault you weren't in class. For the most part if you tell a teacher ahead of time that you're not going to be there, they will be understanding about it.
Dorm Life I don't live in the dorms, I carpool with my friend. I can't really help you in this department.
Food and Dining SIC has several options to choose from and since they aren't very far from the city you can go out to Sonic, Kentucky's Fried Chicken, etc.
Great for these types of students I think that people who would love this campus are people who want to come to a smaller school. Everything about the school is tiny, except for the personalities of the students.
Clubs and Activities At Southeastern Illinois College they have a lot of clubs to choose from. I'm only in two, but I love the two I'm in. I'm currently in Theta Sigma Phi, which is a theater group. I'm also in TRiO-Student Support Services, which helps you with basically anything you need. They let you print things off, give you Internet access, have mentors and tutors, and so many other things.
Campus Safety I find the campus very safe. I have never felt like I was in danger at SIC. I mean since the town the college is in is small, I think that helps and the crime rate isn't big either.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences sic is small, but not in a bad way. you get plenty of one-on-one time with teachers, it is easy to get to know everyone, and for most students, it is close to home. southeastern illinois college is the smart and affordable choice for college students.
Tips for prospective students apply for scholarships. one of the advantages of attending a small school is that there is a limited amount of competition for school-wide scholarships.
What to do for fun there are many clubs and groups at sic. there is a club for basically every interest and major, and it is super easy to start a club yourself.
