Categories Rating Comments In three sentences southern state is a very easy school to attend, as far as the scheduling being flexible. they also offer online classes and all the staff is very polite and helpful. i would suggest this college especially for adults and family men and women.
Tips for prospective students register for classes early and keep on top of your work.
Academic Rigor the classes pretty much follow along what major you are in. the teachers pretty much tell you what they expect on the first day. as long as you keep up with the pace it is not overwhelming.
Dorm Life there are no dorms in this school.
Food and Dining they only have vending machines. but there are plenty of food facilities close to the college.
What to do for fun they offer drama classes and sports such as softball, baseball, and basketball.
Bang for the buck seems pretty reasonable compared to some colleges i have looked at.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus there are campuses in washington court house, wilmington, and hillsboro.
Great for these types of students older adults and single parents it is great. cause the schedules are pretty open to what time ya wanna take and the teachers break down the material if you don't quite understand.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I've been here at Southern State for two quarters already and I can definitely tell you that I have learned a lot here. I was on a seven year hiatus from school and when I decided to come back to school, Southern State gave me the review I needed to get back into the grove of things and continue on with my education. The professors are great, or at least, the ones that I had. They really challenged me to be the best that I can be as a student and as a future professional.
Bang for the buck Southern State Community College is unmatched in its affordability and the education that you receive here.

Great for these types of students Students who want to get an education but who are concerned about being in over-their-heads in debt. Furthermore, Southern State is a great college for those who want to stay close to home and for those students who are not ready for the big public university or college scene. In addition, this college is great for students who do not know if college is right for them. They can explore their options at Southern State and try on the college experience to see if it is a right fit for them.
