Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Whether it is a boring topic or not the faculty at Temple University makes sure that you learn the information in a fun or interesting manner.
Am enjoying being here There is so much to do! I am currently involved in a sorority, prelaw fraternity, a business group, and National Society of Collegiate Scholars to name a few. No matter who you are or what you like there is something for everyone.
Bang for the buck As a state school Temple University has one of the lowest in-state and out of state tuitions in the country as far as I am aware of. In addition financial aid is very accommodating and helpful.
Tips for prospective students If you want a school with a lot to offer, variety, and where a great education will be provided then Temple University is for you.
Great for these types of students The university is great for any type of person as long as you will be happy in a large urban school. Although sometimes you forget your in a city and feel like Temple is its' own bubble.

Categories Rating Comments Will learn a lot Temple offers a myriad of degree programs. This allows everyone to find the perfect combination of majors and minors. I would like to become a teacher, so I learned a lot about what there was to choose from between browsing their website and taking a tour. They also have a really impressive tech center with a large amount of computers. So you will, literally, learn a lot.
Will enjoy being here Philadelphia is my favorite American city. I know this school has a reputation among parents of being in a dangerous location, but the school has invested lot of time and money into providing activities on campus as well as ensuring the safety of its students (night club, movie theatre, the Temple police force, etc.). Most of the neighborhoods have also come a long way. As if Temple itself weren't already a great place to be for four years, Philadelphia has a lot to offer as well. There's delicious food, great shopping, a lot of culture, and one of the most impressive concert scenes around.
Bang for the buck You get a quality education at a more affordable price.
Tips for prospective students Apply early for everything. Sounds cliched, but this is so important when it comes to housing! Take a tour, and familiarize yourself with Philadelphia.
Great for these types of students Great for anyone! Temple champions diversity, so anyone can go here and fit in.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Temple University is not your conventional college. Core classes, known as the Gen-Ed curriculum are interesting and provide a unique set of skills for students majoring in anything. Classes like Chemistry of Wine or Brain Matters are instructional as well as enjoyable
Am enjoying being here Temple does a great job with using the city of Philadelphia within their curriculum. Some classes utilize the city within the classroom, by drawing comparisons to other cities such as New York. While in some classes, students actually go out and become engulfed in the rich culture and history of Philadelphia.
Bang for the buck As an out of state student, Temple is very reasonable with its cost. They will not turn down a student just because of money. The education and experiences I am getting are worth every penny.
Tips for prospective students For prospective students, don't just sit in your dorm on the weekends! Go venture out into the city and make the most of your four years at Temple. Also, I would recommend taking Gen-Ed classes that interest you and provide with some set of life skills. It will make going to class more interesting and fun!
Great for these types of students If you want to expand your wealth of knowledge and enjoying learning, then Temple is for you. Students who thrive at Temple are ones that enjoy the city and have a sense of adventure.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot There is so much to learn while attending Temple. The classes are some of the most interesting and informative classes I have ever taken. I've taken classes ranging from human sexuality to the art of acting right back to Psychology as a social science. You also learn a lot outside the classroom living in the dorms and experiencing Philadelphia.
Am enjoying being here From my perspective, everything about Temple is worth while. Everyday is a new learning experience and you wake up not knowing what to expect here. They have welcome week which includes many activities to help incoming freshman transition to college, Homecoming, which brings alumni back and also includes concerts and athletic games, Greek week, for those interested in sororities/frats, and spring fling just to name a few that help give you a break away from classes and exams. They even once had snowboarding and ice skating in the middle of campus for FREE. The teachers, staff and students are all very friendly and helpful 24/7. Campus life is always alive and enjoyable.
Bang for the buck Temple can be very expensive but it all depends on what your personal situation is. The financial aid packages are very helpful and flexible. Temple also has many on and off- campus work study jobs available for students.
Tips for prospective students Participate in any and everything that Temple offers because i promise you it'll be worth it.
Great for these types of students Students who enjoy very lively and active environments and students who like having variety and choices

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Temple University offers a spectacular range of majors. They also had so many fun and interesting courses that I had a lot of trouble choosing General Education courses, which is a really a good problem. (Incoming freshmen, or anyone for that matter, you must take The Art of Listening with Dr. Kreinberg. He's an absolute genius and a really nice guy too.) I'm finding that I miss the learning environment and can not wait to get back into the class room/lecture hall to begin my sophomore year at Temple.
Am enjoying being here I'm grew up in the suburbs so city life is definitely something to get used to. My favorite part about Philadelphia is that no matter what day or time it is, there is always something to do or somewhere to go. The city has so much history and such a diverse population. Most of my experience here at Temple have been pleasant ones.
Bang for the buck The University is the most wired university on the east coast. There are computer labs all over campus with free access for students. And not to mention the loaner laptops just in case yours malfunctions. Honestly you don't even need to buy a personal lap top. However, if you do have one and it breaks down they have tech people there to fix it, no charge. I really feel like there are (free) resources all over campus to help me. My favorite one by far is the Math and Science Resource Center. They helped me oodles my first year and I know they'll be right there for the rest of my college career.
Tips for prospective students The best tip I could give to any student is to actually show up to class. You may not always feel like going or feel like the professor is going to day or do anything you need to hear about, but you never know and it really can be the difference b/w passing and failing sometimes.
Great for these types of students Ambitious, self motivated, hungry, knowledge seeking, and determined.

Am enjoying being here Great atmosphere, couple of minutes away from the city, a whole lot of DIVERSITY!!!! People are friendly, experience being in the real world, Great partiesssss
Bang for the buck YEs since it is a state school it less expensive you can save loads of money since tuition is increasing each year.
Tips for prospective students Get your financial aid applications done early!!! Your going to have to visit the finacial aid office plenty of times be aware. Don't buy TEXTBooks always RENT them out its cheaper, you wont get the same amount of money back if you try to sell the book you bought!!!!
Great for these types of students Art Majors!!! Tyler School of Art is great!!

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The classes I'm taking are great. The teachers are very interactive with the class & make learning very interesting. I'm learning a great deal in nearly every class. Whether it was expanding on topics I already knew about or learning something completely different.
Am enjoying being here The campus life at temple is awesome. There's so much to do every day of the week. Student activity groups are constantly getting involved with the rest of the student body via campus activities, talent shows or fashion shows.
Bang for the buck Though I believe that the tuition cost for out of state students is a bit high, I am very much enjoying both my education and leisure time at Temple.
Tips for prospective students Do not get caught up in the hype of parties and having fun because when it's all said & done, classes are what really matter. Make sure your financial situation is stable before attendence. Unnesseccary stress because of finances can be harmful to your grades.
Great for these types of students Art Students, Journalism students, Business students and those who do not exactly know what they want to do in the future yet. Classes are varied for all.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I am learning a lot from both the professors and myself. Temple has numerous facilities that are available for the students to access and/or get help. Also, professors and teacher assistants are constantly striving to help students in distress. They give the students the best possible solution they can find for a specific question and answer it as thoroughly and clearly as possible. Temple staff shows they are willing to help with the constant reminders to students about available facilities for assistance in any subject or any matter that is troubling a student. It really shows that they care!
Am enjoying being here I really like being on campus even after class. There are so many buildings available for access. For example, the pavilion is a wonderful place for exercise right alongside Pearson Hall. The wide range of sport fields offered is incredible! The tennis courts are right next to the track and basketball field. The fitness room a few steps from the swimming pool and the classrooms seem only a few inches away. I love being at the tech center, which always has computers available for students whether they are staying long or just have to print something out very quickly. In addition, those computers only take a few minutes to load!
Bang for the buck The tuition is not as expensive as other colleges that offer the same programs and class sizes. I already have a financial instability and suffered many hardships while deciding to attend which college. Temple offers many financial programs and aid for a student to join that he or she can't resist! Temple is very helpful with all of the scholarships and grants they offer for a prospecting student. It is like they are welcoming you with open arms no matter what ethnicity you are or how much money you have.
Tips for prospective students For students who are considering Temple as a potential college, go for it! This university has one of the most diverse campuses in the nation. The diversity is shown through one's daily presence on campus. Just being there a day will show you the incredible diversity of the student body. In addition, the facilities and classrooms are sized and distanced from each other perfectly. In classrooms, there is enough room for interaction between students without being too scrunched up. In other facilities, you never have to endure a painful expedition just to reach a classroom. The walk to a classroom is only about 5 minutes at most!

Categories Rating Comments Will learn a lot Temple's Journalism program is one of the best in the country and I can't wait to attend here and grab hold of the internship opportunities that I hear Temple has.
Will enjoy being here Can you say, Awesome Dorm Parties?? :) I mean, they have a movie theater on campus and the dining halls seem amazing. I can't wait.
Bang for the buck Its the least expensive out of all the schools I applied for and they give a good financial aid package if you have beter than average grades.
Tips for prospective students Get better than average grades in school, visit the campus (its a big school, might be intimidating), Know what major you want so you dont have to switch later.
Great for these types of students Artsy, Creative, and Humanities

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I have learned a lot during my years at Temple so far, but it definitely isn't easy. Some of the teachers don't speak great English, which makes the classes harder, but I am a science major so it's going to be hard anyway. Unlike high school, you really need to put a lot of effort into studying and time management. You get out of college, what you put in, so study and you'll get a lot out of it! Overall, Temple is a great place to learn and offers a lot of opportunities!
Am enjoying being here The night life at Temple is great! We are so close to Center City so you can go out to really nice restaurants for dinner once in a while with friends and if you want to explore the city I highly recommend it! The school itself is not in a great area, so when you go to parties around campus, make sure you go in groups and be careful; always stay with your friends! Temple is close enough though to Center City, where there is so much history and excitement to be enjoyed, that it is in a great spot! I love Philadelphia, and I'm from New York so that says a lot!
Bang for the buck I wouldn't say this is the cheapest of schools, but then again, I am from out of state, so my tuition is a lot more than the in-state students'. It is definitely a good price for the education you get though, especially if you're in-state. For you who are entering freshman, the dorms aren't even that bad, a little small, but you get used to it and it is a real experience. You're going to love it, definitely money well spent!
Tips for prospective students Above everything, please be smart and safe, because you will be in North Philadelphia, a very dangerous area of the city. Have fun though, make friends, and learn a lot. College is a great experience, and Temple has definitely made my college experience awesome! If you get the chance, live on campus. It makes the experience that much better!

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I've had a crazy first year, between figuring out what classes I really want to take, and what I'm not too interested in, but the classes I did take were very interesting and I learned a whole lot more than I thought I would. The professors are very knowledgeable and helpful academically.
Am enjoying being here It's right down the street from one of the biggest, and most historical cities in PA. About a 5 minute subway ride, 10 minute bike, and 30 minute walk from Center City. There are LOTS of security guards everywhere, just be smart about what and where you are going at all times.
Bang for the buck It's VERY affordable for the amount of education and experience you get. For this price, it's a fantastic education, and I have known a few successful graduates come out of Temple with rewarding and enjoyable careers.
Tips for prospective students Don't go anywhere alone at night, it's just not a good thing to do, but don't be scared to go anywhere- explore with some friends! Go to the city! It's a wonderful resource, and within it are so many different things to do and learn from.
Great for these types of students city lovers, noise lovers, adventurers, hipsters :P

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Here at TU, you definitely learn A LOT of information, some of which is applicable to every day living, other information that you can take with you to set yourself up for success in your future endeavors. The professors tend to be friendly, the learning environment is very relaxed and open, making classroom discussions (even in lecture halls) very calming and enjoyable. *Yes, class is actually enjoyable.* And depending on your major, especially if you're in a major of interest to yourself, the work and information you do and learn is simplistic and in the least bit time-consuming.
Am enjoying being here Before coming to Temple University, I was more than a little skeptical; I figured, since it was in a city, and Philly at that, I wouldn't be able to identify much, being from the suburbs. Once I got on campus, I realized I was wrong; Temple has the number one diverse campus in the nation, and is a place where anyone can be friends with anyone. From the classroom to a party on a Friday night, it is never dull here at TU; there's ALWAYS something to do. And if you like to travel/explore, you live in Philadelphia where there's much to see, whether it be the LOVE statue, the Rocky steps, or Pat's (or Geno's) for a great cheesesteak. As for the food, you might as well embrace the freshmen 15, there's great food all around campus, but if you happen to be against the freshmen 15, there's a gym here, for FREE.
Bang for the buck Being one of the best academic schools in the nation, whether you're paying for tuition as an out-of-stater, or an in-stater, going to Temple is one of the best decisions you'll ever make. The campus has before been known as a commuter school but in recent years, TU has become a live on-campus dorm, surging the movement for a better campus, shown through its current upgrading in dorms and buildings throughout campus. Just a comparison, here at Temple University, tuition is between $21,634 and $50,320; this is lower than Drexel, St. Joseph's, and University of Penn's tuitions.
Tips for prospective students Come!
Great for these types of students Any. Literally, any student can have a good college experience here. Once again, number one school in diversity in the nation.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Because Temple University is such a large school, there is no lack of interesting classes to take. From my experience, all of my professors have been truly enthusiastic about the topics they teach and are very willing to meet with any student who needs help outside of the classroom. In addition to meeting with professors for further help, there are also places like the Writing Center to help students with their assignments.
Am enjoying being here Philadelphia is an amazing city to explore either as a local student someone coming from another state. It is a good sized city that can be navigated by easy to use public transportation. For Temple students, both a train station and subway station are located on campus. If students wish to remain on campus there are also many events sponsored by the large array of student run organizations as well as a student run movie theater. Overall, there is always something fun and exciting both on and off campus at Temple University.
Bang for the buck Temple University hosts great facilities from dorms to the outstanding Tech Center that really make the tuition well worth the cost. Although the cost is rather high for out of state students, everything Temple has to offer makes the price reasonable.
Tips for prospective students Obviously students should visit the campus and the rest of the city of Philadelphia before making their decision, but it is also important to research all the organizations and events on campus. Visiting the website for the Temple News gives a good idea of the feel of the school. Although academics and the quality of facilities are very important factors when choosing a school, prospective students should also get a sense of what it is the student body does outside of the classroom.
Great for these types of students Students who love the active life of a large student body mixed with the hubbub of living in a major city will love Temple University. Also students who have a large range of interests or are not quite sure what they want to major in will have an incredible time investigating all of the options and opportunities a school like Temple has to offer.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Overall Temple is a very diverse school and it definitely shows throughout campus. The classes are challenging but most of the teachers are always willing to help any student out; they actual care about the students.
Tips for prospective students Temple is definitely a good school if you like being in the city! It it surrounded by tons of things to do and places to eat. Just make sure you're ready to work really in classes but weekends are always a ton of fun at Temple too!
Academic Rigor Classes are pretty hard but all of my teachers so far have been more than willing to help during office hours. They also have a lot of tutoring options.
Dorm Life I didn't live in a dorm my freshman year because they actually ran out of dorms. I really enjoyed living in an apartment though. They are also building a HUGE new dorm building so more freshmen can dorm.
Food and Dining They have a lot of really good options at the cafeteria but the workers aren't very friendly. They also have a buffet type cafeteria which is good and a lot of little places around campus that you can use your meal plan with.
Clubs and Activities Any club you can basically think of, Temple has. If for some reason they don't have what you're interested in though, you can make your own!
Greek Life There are a ton of frats that hold parties every weekend. the sororities though are kind of gross unfortunately.
Campus Safety There are police EVERYWHERE. Not even just on campus, but off campus too. They also have an email/text alert that lets everyone know if anything happened relating to campus safety.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Temple University is an exciting place to study! I am so inspired by the level of diversity at Temple and its commitment to constantly fostering academic excellence. Temple shines brightly because it opens doors in many ways for people of all backgrounds.
Tips for prospective students I would advise prospective students to look into what Temple has to offer them as an individual. There is so much to do at Temple from its student organizations and overall social climate. Also, research majors and course offerings. Don't be hasty in your judgments because you may find something that you never thought of as a major and/or minor to pursue. All in all, stay focused!
Academic Rigor I can only speak for my major, but I will say that you will work at Temple. I am in the School of Communications and Theater and I must say that professors expect the very best out of their students. There is no excuse for not reaching out to them if you need help, for example. I have found that the faculty is very understanding and that they only want to see you, as a student and future professional, succeed as you proceed in your journey.
Dorm Life I am a Resident Assistant at Temple and all I can say is that we are the BEST! The Temple University Office of Residential Life ensures that Temple students are the main priority. We strive to maintain an environment that is both welcoming and inclusive of all students. Just recently, we worked on brand management so that we can tailor our vision to ensure that we are meeting the needs of individuals that make up the Temple populace and that has been amazing. Now, there are some residence halls that you may want to stay at over others, but in general, you are guaranteed a great experience.
Food and Dining Okay, now I must say...Temple has some good and some bad when it comes to food. However, after you become acclimated with the options that you have, you will learn how to maneuver so that you are close to satisfied. The main cafeteria, Johnson and Hardwick Dining Hall, is an all-you-can-eat style dining experience. There are nights when you can find foods that will make you want more and there are others where you'll say, Lord, why me? LOL! Also, another main eatery is the Valaida S. Walker Food Court located in the Howard Gittis Student Center. Here, Temple students can find Einstein Bagel Brothers, WOW! Wingery and other well known vendors. The only downside to this place is that it costs a lot. You don't get a bang for your buck like at Johnson & Hardwick Dining Hall.
What to do for fun Well, Temple is located in one of the greatest cities in America...Philadelphia! There is so much to do as a Temple student. There are so many inexpensive ventures that you can take as a student whether you want to hear your favorite artist perform at the Kimmel Center or you just want to dine in at one of Philly's tastiest restaurants, you are sure to be satisfied.
Bang for the buck I will say that because I am a food connoisseur, I can really talk about bang for the buck in the context of food! The food trucks on campus are amazing! You can get chicken and rice with a soda for just $4.00 (no tax) and I guarantee that you won't be able to eat it all.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus On Temple's main campus, we have SpringFling, which is huge! This is a time where Temple students come out and enjoy food, fun and fellowship on Liacouras Walk, a premier location on our campus.
Great for these types of students There is something for everyone at Temple. I guarantee that much! :) To learn more about what would be great for you, please take a moment to visit www.temple.edu
Clubs and Activities There are too many clubs and activities to name, so I provided a link for you to browse at your leisure...https://www.temple.edu/studentaffairs/studentactivities/studentorgs/registered.asp
Greek Life I really don't know too much about Greek Life. You can visit this link on Temple's website if you'd like to learn more...http://www.templegreeks.com/
Campus Safety I will say to be mindful of the location that you may be in at all hours. Though our police force is the second largest in the city underneath Philadelphia PD, things still happen. Our police strive to ensure a safe campus for all Temple students, but it can be hard to cover all bases with so many students, so what I will say again, is to be mindful of your location. Stay alert and you'll be just fine.

Categories Rating Comments Will learn a lot From every student I have talked to, noone has anything negative to say about their academics. There are so many resources available to suceed (the tech center is HUGE, plus tutoring and paper reviews) that all you need is your own initiative.
Will enjoy being here Growing up in a rural area, the city will be a big adjustment. The great thing about Temple is that the campus is intact, so you get the at college feel, but you can easily take a bus into the city and have a ton to do and explore.
Bang for the buck Temple is on par with other state schools are far as pricing. They do offer great financial aid for students with good grades and lots of scholarships.
Tips for prospective students The campus is extremely diverse, but don't let that intimidate you. When visiting I saw many friends of different ethnicities socializing together. Also, the area right off the skirts of campus are not safe. Don't venture off campus alone.
Great for these types of students adventurous, street smart, outgoing

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Being a fourth year student, I can certainly say that I feel confident in my future. The teachers are always willing to offer you with any additional help need be regardless if it is during the semester or the day before your final. There are a wide variety of majors (like biology, finance, etc.) and academic programs (like Med scholar program, etc.) which are designed to make you stand out in the working world.
Am enjoying being here I am a current Biology major who just loves being on campus. I am part of a sorority, Order of Omega, a dance team, and other student organizations on campus. The school offers more than 200 student organizations (available on the Temple website) from which you have no excuse not to find one.
Bang for the buck Compared to many of the other colleges that my past high school friends are attending currently, Temple University really stands out as one of the best schools out there with a wide variety of academic programs to chose from given the low-average tuition. Temple also offers many additional scholarships to need and merit based students.
Great for these types of students If you are planning a fun filled college career with not only excellent academic programs but also a great variety of all rounded people from a multitude of races, ethnicity, and interests, this college is the right one for you.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot There are a variety of undergraduate programs to choose from, chances are Temple has a program that fits your interests. I chose to pursue a Bachelor's in Kinesiology.
Am enjoying being here Temple has something for everyone to be a part of, like for me I tried out the Karate Club, but there are also clubs like fencing, swimming or rock climbing; just to name a few, that may get you motivated to try something new and meet people! The best times are when Temple has home football and basketball games as the entire student body joins together to support the Owls.
Bang for the buck Temple is relatively cheap both in-state and out of state compared to others school, though because of PA budget cuts Temple, as well as other university's, will be raising their tuition to compensate for the loss of state funding.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The professors definitely want students to learn as much as they can. Some of the lower level classes can be a bit slow when other students don't understand the material.
Am enjoying being here There's always something to do with the city so close by. The area itself can be a bit daunting because of the crime but the campus is very well staffed with security. The social scene is very lively and there are plenty of on-campus activities hosted by the university and its clubs.
Bang for the buck Temple is a reasonably cheap school and provides an education that requires a fair amount of work. The courses could be a bit more challenging and ask more from students to help them learn more, but most students will earn a degree and move on to great jobs.
Tips for prospective students Take courses that are a bit more challenging than you're used to. You'll learn a lot more and you'll never get stuck in a course where you're relearning things from high school. Try to get into the Honors program for special advantages like priority registering.
Great for these types of students Active, social, city loving students who don't want to spend too much time studying but are still committed to earning their degree.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I have really enjoyed the classes I have taken so far. The professors are really easy to access and most of them seem more than willing to help you if you are having trouble with the class. There are also a bunch of classes to choose from no matter what your interests are. The Gen Ed program really ensures that you will get a well-rounded education and that you will learn a lot about a wide variety of topics.
Am enjoying being here I love Philadelphia. There is so much to do on campus and in Center City. Campus programs make a lot of things in Center City affordable, such as sports games and tickets to the Franklin Institute. There are also tons of groups on campus to join, including Gardening Club and Political groups.
Bang for the buck Obviously being in Philadelphia is expensive, but tuition is not that bad and usually financial aid really helps kids out. As long as you watch where your money is going, you should be okay. As an out-of-state student I find Temple very affordable.
Great for these types of students Students who like cities and who are looking for a university with a lot of students should apply to this school. The school is very international, so if you want to go to a school with a lot of diversity, this is a great fit.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Temple is a good University. It is full of spirit, fun, and education but also temptation. Stay focused and STUDY STUDY STUDY and you should do well. I'm a Bio-Major and if anyone is going into the sciences here's a couple of words YOUR BOOKS ARE YOUR BESTFRIENDS. Teachers mainly lecture in rooms that are sometimes filled with 50-200 students. MY advice sit in the front or close to the front or ask the teacher to record his or her lectures. You learn by doing so practicing the problems in the book is your best bet for success you teachers are there only as a guide.
Am enjoying being here I love Temple it is great place to be. There is always activities going on. The only downfall is students constantly trying to sell you stuff, it gets tiresome and annoying after a while. I just try to avoid them at all cost.
Bang for the buck College is an investment you get what you pay for. Also your college experience is what you make it so MAKE THE BEST OUT OF IT.
Tips for prospective students Be serious about your education and have fun.
Great for these types of students Any student who wants to get a degree.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The professors are incredible at Temple. Also, the selection of courses which they offer here is so diverse and interesting. For example, you may be taking anything from Chemistry to Human Sexuality to Shall We Dance? in one semester. I absolutely love the classes which they offer.
Am enjoying being here There is such a diverse student population at Temple. You will make friends from every background you can imagine. Also, there are student groups and clubs for EVERYONE. Plus, if there isn't a club you want to join, you can easily start your own club. Being right in the middle of the city, there is always something to do, even if it's a short subway ride away. And don't let the urban setting intimidate you; there are grassy areas all over campus for students to sit and socialize or study. The campus is incredible.
Bang for the buck For most people, Temple is a very affordable school; however for others it can be a bit pricey. They do offer work study and merit grants to those students who meet their criteria. As for events on campus, Temple provides plenty of free or inexpensive events for students to attend.
Tips for prospective students Know what you want to study, or at least have a general idea, when you first schedule your classes. I've heard many people say that it is easy to spend five years at Temple if you switch your major half way through.
Great for these types of students Eccentric, social, outgoing, artsy, and urban.

Categories Rating Comments Did learn a lot I enjoyed and learned a lot from my Gen Ed classes and my Calculus class, but the Computer Science curriculum really needs some work. There seems to be very little collaboration between the students, which is very strange considering that you will most likely not get far without someone looking over your code and helping you find your mistakes or leading you in the right track every once in a while. Especially as one of the very few females in the CS program, I found other students to be unfriendly/unapproachable. Group effort is not enforced whatsoever, completely unlike my high school experience with CS. Also, some of the professors are just boring and uncreative, using a simple Powerpoint that I can just read on my own time. It's like they're not even teaching sometimes.
Did enjoy being here Smoke clouds the air as soon as you step out of a building, as if Philly wasn't dirty enough. There are rules that students have to be a certain distance away from the building to smoke, but students do it anyway without any consequences. It is very rude and inconsiderate when there are other students on the campus who would prefer to have fresher air (as much as you can get in Philly at least).
Also, I did not bond well with others because of the majority of their immaturity. Most care more about drugs, sex, and alcohol more than about school, careers, and friends. Seriously, it wouldn't be such a problem if there weren't so many girls walking around in booty shorts and micro skirts. Not only is it trashy and impractical (they wear it even in the dead of winter), but most of these girls do not even have healthy bodies, so they look either sick or just fat. Guys are just as bad, as you will often hear them rating girls and deciding who they want to have sex with next. And for some reason, every single person there who is superficial has a superego as well. The smell of weed fills the hallways as well, and nothing is done about it. If you have allergies, oh well.
And the dorms are disgusting as well. They do nothing about mice or the holes in your room that they get in through. They also charge you fees for the most ridiculous things that you don't even know about when you get the room. For example, I was charged for a television remote that was not even included in the room when I first received it. I even had a friend without a roommate who was charged for moving some of her stuff on the other side of the room because the space has to be cleared in case someone moves into the room more than halfway the semester! They also require you to take a meal plan, which isn't worth it at all.Bang for the buck It's definitely not worth it. If you want to save on education, then just go to community college for two years and transfer. If you want a university experience, then it's not worth it at Temple. I can only say that the library, tech center, and basically anything resourceful was great. However, you can find similar resources at a community college.
Tips for prospective students If you're just looking for a college experience and you are from Philly, then just go to CCP and rent an apartment that is close enough. You can still hang out with your friends from Temple, Drexel, and UPenn while getting a decent transferable education. You will be close to the city and will have a similar experience. Plus, all of your friends will be jealous about how little money you are spending in comparison to them.
If you really want to go to Temple... girls, please don't feel like you have to be like all the other slutty girls. Save yourself some serious drama and save that skin for when you meet a guy who really cares about you. Guys, focus more on your education and less about what's in your pants. Your life will be hell when you're looking for a job and you realize that no one wants to hire you because you hardly learned anything in college, and you'll be stuck in a lot of debt. Student loans are nice, but it is still a huge debt. Remember that.Great for these types of students Easy-going people, good students. Oh, and really good students can get into the honors program. They get their own housing and better classes. There's also a lot to do outside of the classroom. Also, research on their majors, because some are not so great.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Temple is a very diverse and multicultural university that has so much to offer to its students. Temple provides many opportunities for students to succeed in any program they strive to achieve. Ranging from hundreds of associations to tracks or general fields that students are interested in based on their major(s), allows students to become involved and enjoy their college life and get the most out of their college experience!
Academic Rigor Temple University's professor's tend to put a heavy load in class on students, specially when it comes to a 4 credit course rather than the usual 3 credit course. However, I have overcome that fear and now achieving a higher success as I reach towards my goal.
Dorm Life I haven't experienced a dorm life myself, however, I am looking forward into finding an apartment nearby if possible and living with friends!
Food and Dining Food around campus is usually expensive compared to us college students. We save and save and save money and in the end it all goes towards either tuition, books, or simply just commuting, if not already living on campus. However, because of its great amount of diversity with many different people brings out different cultural and traditional food all around campus, ranging from Middle Eastern food to great Italian food!
What to do for fun Hanging around with friends on campus might sound like a silly idea as it is, however, a brilliant idea with the many opportunities and fun provided for us by the Student Center!
Campus Safety As a full-time student, I usually always find Temple Police roaming around Temple, ensuring the students on campus are safe.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Temple Univ. is a amazing, diverse and well rounded place to be a student. They help you achieve goals both personally and educationally. They prepare you for your field with extensive and impressive courses and programs.
Tips for prospective students Come to Temple energetic about your new adventure. Be open to learn all sorts of new things in your major and outside of your major. Do as much as you can and if you are new to Philadelphia see everything on Temple campus and off!
Academic Rigor I believe a good institution is not going to be a walk in the park. If it was easy I wouldn't advise to take that route. Because you gain the most through hard work. Temple offers classes that can be challenging. The university sole purpose is to make sure we learn and you will definitely learn.
Dorm Life From what I know of the Dorm Life at Temple, students love it. Everything is mostly in walking distance. And Temple tries to make sure every possible accommodations a student will need is close by.
Food and Dining Temple's main campus has so much variety surrounding it. Whether you are on the campus grabbing lunch from the student center or one of the vendors, you have so many choices. You also can venture into the many restaurants located right around the main campuses, students should never get bored with the food and dining choices!
What to do for fun Hey, Temple U is in the heart of Philly! The question is not what to do for fun, there is nothing you can't do. Temple is right by the bus and train to take students in to Center City Philadelphia, where there is movies, theatre, bars, sports bars, clubs, shopping, museums and on and on. Never any reason to be bored!
Bang for the buck I just really feel while the country is constantly cutting cost the funding to Universities, Temple Univ. does not lessen the level of education Temple students will receive!
Great for these types of students All Students!
Clubs and Activities Temple thrives on diversity. And will basically have clubs, activities and social groups for all students. Female and male groups, culture infused groups, minority groups, LGBT groups, you name they provide it.
Campus Safety Campus safety seems to be a top priority with Temple. They are constantly giving updates on any situations that may occur near or on the Temple campus. And they have all forms of alerts via text, email and phone.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Overall, it is a very nice school. The faculty and administration are not the greatest, and the area is questionable. I couldn't imagine going to any other school.
Tips for prospective students Actually study. Just because you take gen eds doesn't mean you should slack off.
Academic Rigor The easy classes are usually pretty time-consuming.
Dorm Life I lived in a communal dorm and it was a great decision.
Food and Dining It's not the greatest.
What to do for fun Go out into the rest of the city. There's always parties on the weekends.
Bang for the buck I like the school, but it is so expensive and I have so many complaints.
Great for these types of students Hipsters.
Clubs and Activities You can make any club if you have 10 people that want it to happen.
Greek Life Not that important really, unless you want to go to frat parties. There's only about 4 sororities.
Campus Safety I think the campus is very safe for being in North Philadelphia. There are cops everywhere and emergency call stations everywhere.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Temple University is it's own little city inside of Philadelphia.
It is an all around great school from academics to social life to the city of Philadelphia itself. Temple is the place to be.Tips for prospective students Make sure to apply for financial aid and submit your application by the due date to ensure that you get the financial help you may need.
Submit your housing deposit as soon as possible as housing is distributed on a first-come first-serve basis.
Academic Rigor Temple University believes in making sure students get the education in all aspects of life. Despite your specific major, all students are required to take general education courses (math, english, science, etc) so that they are getting all that can help them in the future.
Dorm Life From suite style, to communal style, to apartment style, Temple University tries it's best to make sure you are comfortable. Each residence hall features a different style, but for the most part, they all consist of the same features. You are guaranteed to meet some wonderful people with any style of living.
What to do for fun Hang out on campus
Head down to Financial Lincoln Field to see our football team dominate. Hop on the subway down into Center City for some shopping or a change of scenery,Bang for the buck How awesome is it to have your health expenses covered in your tuition? Stop off to Student Health Services to get a prescription filled, for check-ups, to grab your hand sanitizer or cough drops. We even have counseling services for free.
Clubs and Activities We have over 300 clubs/organizations. Furthermore, if there isn't a specific club that you're interested in, you can gather 9 friends and write up a constitution to be approved by a faculty member and Temple will help fund your organization.
Greek Life There are many fraternities/sororities at Temple. It's not a huge part of campus life at Temple, but it's there if you're interested.
Campus Safety We have a force of over 130 police officers, who are trained by Philadelphia police, that travel in cars, on foot, on bikes, and even on segways. In addition to this force, Temple has been known to be the brightest spot in Philadelphia as seen from the night sky. We have lights on top of lights and lights on top of buildings. One can walk from one end of campus to the other in the dark of night while reading a book and never miss a word. We also have 68 emergency call boxes throughout and surrounding campus.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Great mix of student who are friendly. Lots of opportunity for foreign study. Campus is easily accessible.
Tips for prospective students Don't get lost in a small town college with nothing to do. Be in the center of a great city that has fantastic cultural offerings. Meet students from around the world.
Academic Rigor I had no problem my first year with the exception of a sold out text book but instructor was understanding and patient. Eventually received from another source.
Dorm Life Room was small and not much of a bargain for the price. Next semester will live off campus with friends in an apartment. Car not needed as trains and buses available.
Food and Dining Campus food was OK and fairly priced. Many package options available unlike some schools where there is only one package.
What to do for fun Visit city, Chinatown is great, theaters museums and many cultural events.
Bang for the buck We went into town several times. Loved Chinatown which is 10 minutes away. Lots of music, theater and practically anything you could want.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Can't think of any.
Great for these types of students I am a small town student loving the big city, but big city students should like it too.

Dorm Life I commute via bicycle.
Food and Dining There's a great variety of food truck venders.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Temple has a large diverse campus with lots to do. Philadelphia has tons of great colleges. Temple has earned a name for itself in Philadelphia as being a great school where you get a competitive education. Temple has a respected law school, medical school, pharmacy school, nursing program, engineering and art program.
Tips for prospective students The Tech Center is the best place to study-it rarely closes 7 days a week and at all hours of the day and night. If you're from a rural area or attended a small community college initially, like I did, you may want to get a tour of the campus because it is just...huge! Temple has thousands of students in a very urban environment that is widespread and somewhat daunting.
Academic Rigor Temple Owls are tough! There is no question. I am a Biology major and in my most recent Chemistry II class for example, I spent about 10-14 hours per week studying for just that one class and still ended up with a B!
Dorm Life I actually live off campus so this is not applicable to me. However, new dormitories are always being built and it is convenient to live on Temple's campus.
Food and Dining Since Temple is in the heart of the city, there are tons of restaurants around for pretty much whatever you feel like eating. There is also a Food Court in the Student Center that has Asian food, Italian food, deli-type foods, coffee shops and more!
What to do for fun Again, Temple's urban environment allows you to get into the best parts of the city of Philadelphia via train or bus or cab quite easily. While Temple has plenty of its own events going on, I find myself going into Center City or the surrounding sections (like Manayunk, Fishtown, Fairmount Park, or Art Museum) to have fun.
Bang for the buck Philadelphia has its Ivy League schools and Temple has earned recognition as having rigorous and challenging educational standards...yet it is affordable. As a dental hygienist myself, more than half of the doctors I have worked for have been Temple dental graduates.
Great for these types of students Temple University's Tyler School of Art is beautiful school and is definitely alluring to prospective students. It seems that the majority of students at Temple are artistic or musical in some form or another. Although Temple is really diverse and it really does have all kinds of students.
Campus Safety Temple has a reputation for having an unsafe campus. Temple's Main campus is located in North Philadelphia and there is some crime to be spoken of. Personally, I get text and email alerts from the Temple Campus Police Department and I feel very safe and have never had a problem.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences This university is very lively and everyone on campus is very nice and positive. The professors are very active with the students, so if a student has a problem they are always willing to help. And also, there are many extracurricular activities that will strike any type of personality.
Tips for prospective students Always go to class and do your work. No matter how lazy you may get, just going to class will help you do better. Also, join clubs and other organizations because this will help you get more involved with the school and it helps you meet new people.
Academic Rigor The classes are very tough. But with a well-balanced schedule, students will always be able to succeed. If a student has trouble there are many options, such as tutoring and study sessions. Also, the professors are almost always available.
Dorm Life Many of the residence halls are nicely put together. I only lived in one so far and I enjoyed it despite my roommate. But during the weekends, there are loud students roaming the hallways and making noises. Dorm life seems the best when students have private rooms in my opinion.
Food and Dining The food is amazing here. I love the foodcourt and almost all of the food there. But after awhile if you continue to go there, the food gets tiring because you get used to everything that is there. I do not go to the buffet because of the distance. If you always go to the food court, it best to switch it up between the vendors.
What to do for fun Go to the different shows that are always happening, such as step shows, football games, and other special events. Go out to eat with friends and explore downtown Philadelphia. There are always something to do at Temple.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Beautiful Campus with intellectual students. The location of Campus is close to Center City Philadelphia. The Schools diversity is tremendous.
Tips for prospective students Join as many organizations as possible. Do not be scared to talk to other students. Go to the library and take advantage of the tools and resources given to you.
What to do for fun I hang out with my friends, make trips to the city, go to different events (sporting, concerts, zoo ...). Relax on campus and go to the coffee shop to hear live student music on Thursday nights every few weeks. Watch a film with friends in the Temple reel (Temple Movie Theater)
Bang for the buck Great school for instate people. Also great school for people out of state just a little bit more money.
Great for these types of students Great for any type of student, such a large amount of people go here it will not be hard to meet someone just like you.
Clubs and Activities So many different student groups. They are all very active and meet at appropriate times. The list on the Temple site is very long that you can keep searching for the right one for you.
Greek Life Amazing here, there are only a few sororities but the girls who I have met have all been very nice. Fraternities on Campus all do a lot of work to put there name out there and the men that you will meet in these groups are upstanding members of society.
Campus Safety You cannot go anywhere on Temple campus without seeing at least 1 University officer. There are blue safety posts all around campus that if the call button is pressed an officer will be there in less than a minute. Though campus is safe and beautiful it is still a big city so when off campus take necessary precautions.

Tips for prospective students Do not be afriad to try anything, especially your freshman year. It is a year that can define you.
Academic Rigor Of course this depends on your major. I am in the health and sciences and language departments. These are some of the harder departments at the university.
Dorm Life I stayed in J & H and loved the communal bathrooms that I did not have to clean and being able to meet a lot of studets in your building.
Food and Dining The SAC is the best! J & H is a nice way to start off your day or grab a few snacks for later.
What to do for fun Go into the city and get lost! You can be pleasantly suprised by what you find thre.
Bang for the buck It is a state college so you defintely can be happy with the amount of options you have for majors andminors with the close location to Center City and stadiums.
Great for these types of students Anyone can find their place at Temple. Just kep your eyes and mind open.
Clubs and Activities Many sports, academic, and social clubs to join! You can either join one you like or start one up!

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences The social atmosphere is great and there are a variety of classes to take. There is easy access to the city of Philadelphia which can keep you entertained. However, it is not for everyone--if you don't like big groups or the small campus feel, this school isn't for you.
Tips for prospective students Try not to go into the city in the dark alone. The campus is pretty safe, but you can walk two blocks away and find yourself in potential danger. Be very open with other students and make friends--you will meet many different people!
Academic Rigor The classes are not too taxing, or at least first-year classes aren't. Get as many GenEd classes out of the way as soon as possible, so you can focus on your major requirements. Some professors expect you to read every night, and others will only make you do work in class.
Dorm Life Keep your doors open the first few weeks! It's a great way to get to know people on your floor. The Living Learning Communities options are great if you want to be with people who have similar interests as you. Suites are great if you're worried about personal hygiene/want more space, but sometimes it limits the closeness/bondness you feel with other roommates on your floor.
Food and Dining The dining hall is your average college dining hall. There are always healthy options available but also ways for you to gain weight. There is also a food court in the Student Center, which hosts about ten different food companies, ranging from wraps to pizza to bagels to cheesesteaks.
What to do for fun There are many clubs/organizations at Temple, so within the first weeks make sure to check them out! Don't be afraid to participate; you don't want to watch everyone while you sit back and become lazy. The music groups are phenomenal--make sure to check out a Broad Street Line concert (male a cappella group)! Septa provides easy transportation into the city, where you can eat, shop, go to concerts/museums, and be tourists.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Walk in the space between Anderson and Gladfelter Halls, climb the steps to your right and enjoy the green-top roof.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Temple is a fun school with many chances for new social experiences, many resources, and many intelligent professors. The professors and staff are always willing to meet with you and help you out. However, it may be that the school student size is growing faster than the school.
Tips for prospective students Use all available resources from day one. Join organizations, work part-time, get an internship, and be willing to do the work.
Academic Rigor It's not hard if you actually pay attention. But it can get hard if you're not focused.
Dorm Life The facilities are okay. The gyms are great. The dorm computer-labs are awesome when your laptop crashes. You pay for what you get: More expensive dorm = way better facilities. The neighborhood is not that great, but Temple Police are always around.
Food and Dining The food is average college food. Dietitians are awesome for helping you adjust to eating it because there are just as many unhealthy options as healthy options. The cart food is the best though.
What to do for fun For those under the drinking age, university organization and students offer great social events. For those 21 and over, there are bars on campus that do events and many parties to attend.
Bang for the buck Cheap school for the awesome education and resources.
Great for these types of students Everyone fits in. You just have to be willing to be social.
Clubs and Activities There is always a lot going on on campus. Choosing what you want to do is the hardest part.
Campus Safety The campus police phone number is hard to remember when in crisis. Students have gotten robbed, but the Campus does a lot to handle the situation and will be on the scene long before the Philadelphia police.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Temple University is filled with teachers genuinely dedicated to helping students get the most out of their college careers. Rather than simply lecture aimlessly, all of the teachers I've encountered are far more interested in getting their students to think creatively and be responsive, instilling in them the sort of independence they'll need to succeed once they've earned their degree. While their billing policies can be frustrating at times, if you're looking for a university at an affordable price, Temple is the place for you.
Tips for prospective students Be sure to have your student aid lined up long before you enroll.
Academic Rigor As long as you're a responsible and attentive student, Temple University should provide just the right amount of challenge that will help you achieve your degree without burning yourself out along the way.
Dorm Life I've only commuted, but from what I've heard of the dorms, they're clean and well-maintained with a diverse group of sociable residents.
Food and Dining Temple offers a wide variety of fare, including healthier meal choices that many other schools won't provide.
What to do for fun There are plenty of places to go nearby, such as the Kimmel Center and the Ben Franklin Institute. There's also of course the Philadelphia art museum which boasts one of the greatest selections of art in the entire country. On the campus itself, there's plenty of places to hang out and relax, and there's a movie theater very close to the campus as well.
Great for these types of students Business majors, English majors, horticulture majors (at the Ambler campus), criminal justice majors, education majors, music majors, anyone interested in sports, as well as anyone interested in being a part of the thriving theater community.
Campus Safety Security is very vigilant and thoughtful when it comes to the well-being of the students at Temple. However, the area outside of the main campus in Center City Philadelphia can be very dangerous and I would never recommend walking anywhere outside of the campus limits; stick to vehicular transportation.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Temple University is amazingly diverse. The campus offers thousands of opportunities that will further strengthen your maturity through developing skills and knowledge. In addition, there are many promotions and events that are held on campus which will motivate and provide many students the chance to participate and gain additional knowledge on top of the knowledge that you already have.
Tips for prospective students I strongly encourage prospective students to positively present yourself with manners and respect on your first day of class. From experience, if you show a negative first impression, you will end the semester with a nightmare. However, if you act friendly and show off your smile, it would be so much easier for you to make new friends. When taking a course, it is absolutely a great idea to establish a friendship with at least one other classmate. In doing so, it allows you an opportunity to have study sessions together as well as learn and grow from listening to each other.
Academic Rigor Setting your goals and aiming it high is a perfect way to show an academic rigor. Establishing a set standards and pressuring yourself to fulfill these obligations prepare you for a successful future.
Dorm Life Dorm life is an adventurous tour because it develops your social and culture skills yet it could also disrupt your academic ambition. Dorm life is like a way to prove to your parents that you are an adult. From responsibilities and challenges climbing over your shoulder, the weight could be heavily shocking. However, living on campus is a powerful way to strengthen your maturity in which it’ll help you to establish your independent trait. Even with the toughest situation, whether it demands you to choose the side of an angel or the devil, dorm life has a tendency to test your intelligence. Sometimes, it’s not all about the fun but to prepare you for a commitment that will guide you towards an invested future.
Food and Dining Temple University offers a variety of choices which is located all around the campus. The choices of eating healthy or unhealthy, that's really your choice. Going to school every day with the same food menu could be boring. Thus, TU present its true meaning of a diverse university. There's food from so many different cultures and it is awesome how the school even have Pho, which is the oddest Vietnamese food to have on campus due to its ingredients and boiling, hot soup! But on the other hand, TU's dining areas are always clean and spacious. You will not be disappointed with Temple's dining areas.
What to do for fun Living on campus doesn't mean you're bounded to study every minute of your life. When you study hard, you play hard! Taking a break from long hours of studying is a great idea to relieve your stress. But what's there to do for fun while living on campus? First off, keep in mind that Temple University always have exciting events every single week and weekend! Opportunities are there but it requires your effort to discover these exciting opportunities. Also, Temple University is a campus of a city life! With a 5 minute drive, you'll experience a whole new world. There are hundreds of famous restaurants, bars, clubs, historical events and tours, shopping outlet and mall, and so much more! It is unbelievable how much a city life can offer a student! Everything you wish to explore is literally couple of blocks away.
Bang for the buck We all know transportation is a huge issue for most people that doesn't own a car. Well, guess what, with Temple's city life, you definitely do not need a car. Yes, I said it! No doubt, there's public transportation such as septa bus, subway, taxi, and even a trolley almost on every block. Getting around town, visiting Old City and Center City or perhaps, Chinatown is really simple. As long as you know what bus or train run on what street, you could get from point A to point B in no time. This is not an exaggeration. This city is incredibly amazing because everything you need or want to do is extremely close to the campus which makes it really convenient for people like me to get around. Oh yeah, I can't forget that most students save so much money because of the city's convenient transportation system.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus At Temple University, there's a lot of cultural events. One example is the VSA. VSA stands for the Vietnamese Student Association. What this association do is set up a date for an unusual performance, in a way to share their culture's dance and its unique outfits. It is a great tool to help educate the world about one's unique culture.
Great for these types of students If you are an adventurous type of student, then Temple University is definitely a campus for you. Because Temple University is a city life campus, there is so much to do and it is extremely close to the campus. Also, the city is usually loud and crowded, especially on the summer days, so therefore, it is a great way for a student to come out and meet many new people from all different cultures.
Clubs and Activities Temple University tend to send out a lot of emails concerning clubs and activities. You will receive an email regarding the event way ahead of time. This way, it allows a student to plan ahead and make time for these wonderful events and opportunities. Temple believe getting involved is the best way to develop a unique core in personality.
Greek Life Temple University's Greek Life has been increasing. The number rise every year as more and more people are convinced to get involved. The fraternity helps expand a friendship among hundreds of people that were once strangers.
Campus Safety For almost every building, there are security guards that will enforce an identity card. Without a Temple's ID card, you will not enter the building. Also, if you were to stay late on campus and feels unsafe to walk back to the dorm alone, Temple University is willing to provide you a security to escort you back to your dorm until you are safe and sound.

Dorm Life Dorms are comfortable and located conveniently. Staff including building security, maintenance, and resident staff are friendly and welcoming. In addition, room rates are fairly priced according to the students desired options.
Food and Dining The food in campus dining areas is well prepared. Students have a large selection of foods to choose from including special foods needed for dietary or religious reasons. In addition to on campus food and dining there are many places to eat close campus.
What to do for fun There is plenty to do for fun! The university's main campus is located in the heart of Philadelphia. This means that besides campus events and activities there is always something to do if you take the time to look for it. Countless sporting events, museums, concerts, art shows, and many other fun activities.
Bang for the buck College is what you make of it. While the university may be a little pricier than say a state run institution or your local community college I think that the education and experience of attending Temple University is worth every penny. In addition, campus advisers and financial services staff are very helpful when students need scholarships and other forms of aid to pay for their education.
Great for these types of students Anyone seeking a quality education who does not mind the city setting.
Clubs and Activities Clubs and activities are what you make of them. There are a large variety of clubs students can join if they choose.
Campus Safety Campus safety is very reliable and makes themselves present 24/7. If a student requires aid safety officers are always close by and willing to help. In addition campus safety also patrols the neighborhoods surrounding campus to provide added comfort to students who may live off campus.

The students here are determined, hardworking, motivated, and able to work together towards a common goal while still leaving time to have fun.
Tips for prospective students Come to Temple with an open mind and ready for anything. Take risks and step outside of your comfort zone to really have a great experience here. Work hard and never say never. Temple will help you to become successful in your future.
Academic Rigor Temple's academic programs are very challenging and force students to improve themselves as a whole in their social and professional life. They give students opportunities to grow and work towards a bright and successful future.
Dorm Life There are a lot of different styles of living on campus. I would definitely recommend living in a dorm for the first and even second year. You are able to meet tons of people. It is also very convenient to live right on campus near all your classes.
Food and Dining Temple offers several dining areas for its students. There are a lot of options but the food is about average. I feel Temple is lucky to have the unique variety of the food trucks around campus. They provide good food for a low price.
What to do for fun There are many clubs and organizations to join, as well as, fraternities and sororities. Just hang out with friends on campus or attend a social event Temple often holds for the entire campus. Check out the game room, cinema, or lounges to meet new people. Also, on the weekends, there are great off campus parties.
Campus Safety Temple has always done a good job at making me feel safe. There are roaming security guards on campus and off. Blue emergency poles are located around to provide extra security to students. Temple is the brightest area in Philly next to the professional stadiums which makes it feel as though Temple never really sleeps.

Tips for prospective students Future students should definitely look at all the options that Temple has and come and visit. Also, they should start to get an idea of what they might want to do. Prospective students should also look at the costs and figure out loans early because financial aid is one bad thing about temple.
Academic Rigor Classes are a good size. The only time classes are very big are for lectures. Most teachers are very fair with grading and attendance. Overall, everyone wants you to do good and understand what you are learning.
Dorm Life I love living in my dorm! Everyone is very nice and respectful, especially during study days. Also, I met all my friends through living in my dorm and I am so glad that i chose to live here for my freshmen year! Rooms are pretty big especially the corner rooms.
Food and Dining The food is okay, but like any college you get sick of it after a while. Luckily we have many food vendors around us and different places to go to switch it up every once in a while. But they usually have really good deserts and great ice cream!
What to do for fun Well, living in the city there is so much to do. You can easily take the subway into center city and go shopping, out to dinner, to a club, or take in the history of the City of Brotherly Love. Also, there is always things to do on campus, such as seeing a movie or watching a play. Overall, I never get bored at Temple!
Bang for the buck Even though Temple is pretty expensive I feel like I get a great education through this school. My advisors are always willing to help and so are my teachers. Also, I love the history of the city and learning about it.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I don't know why but I like to study in the barnes and nobles on campus. Also I like to sit by the bell tower outside and do my work.
Great for these types of students This is a very diverse campus so anyone will fit in. Also, this school is for people who are not scared to live in the city because anything can happen.
Clubs and Activities There are so many clubs and activities at Temple. Also if you don't like any of the ones that they have you can make your own. So there is something for everyone.
Greek Life There are a lot of fraternities and sororities that you can join. There are definitely more frats though. But they are always doing things and getting involved.
Campus Safety I feel very safe on campus. Temple is very good at having police everywhere, especially at night. There are always Temple police all the time, so for the most part it is very safe but there are always things that happen because it is Philadelphia.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Temple University is a great school for anyone and has a major for just about everyone. The learning environment is both great for you academically and personally. I guarantee you that anyone who attends this school can agree with me.
Tips for prospective students If you don't believe the hype about how great a school Temple is, feel free to attend an open house. I encourage coming by for a school visit. Once you're accepted, start mingling with any and everyone.
Academic Rigor I am an overachiever and I believe a challenge is necessary to keep me focused... So far, so great
Dorm Life I personally don't live in the student dorms, but I have friends I have visited who live in the dorms and they are amazing. I admit I once told them I was jealous.
Food and Dining There are plenty of food places to choose from on and off campus. The food trucks are awesome! Most of them deliver which is great! The SAC has a nice selection of food.
What to do for fun With the right people, ANYTHING you do is fun. Temple has PLENTY of activities to participate in Free Food Fun Fridays (yes, EVERYTHING is FREE), fitness clubs, dancing, not to mention public transportation is very convenient. Want to get off campus? Hop on the bus or Subway and head to Center City. There's plenty to do there.
Bang for the buck Temple is an all around great school choice. You get your money's worth of education, you're well fed, you can NEVER get bored. It's awesome. I must admit that being an out-of-state student it is kind of pricey, but I can assure you it is well worth it.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Temple University is in a great location; there is public transportation to take you wherever you could want to go! Philadelphia is full of art, history, and urban youth culture. Temple is known for it's many great majors and is an excellent place for someone who wants to live in the city and go to a large college with lots of opportunities for studying abroad and getting an internship.
Tips for prospective students The food at Temple University is terrible. Make sure to select a dorm that does not require a meal plan. 1300 and Temple Towers are great for Freshman and Sophomores, and upperclassmen live off campus. Make sure you know safety tips for a large city because you really need to take care of yourself since Temple's Main Campus is in North Philly. Check out Rate my professor to get the best teachers.
Academic Rigor Dance Majors have a great program. Other programs especially the sciences and nursing seem to be really difficult and require a lot of homework and studying. However, the majority of Temple's programs offer more hands on work rather than book work so it is easier to learn by going out in the community and doing rather than reading.
Dorm Life Dorms are fairly nice because they have gyms, vending machines, and plenty of activities, but the rooms are VERY small so make sure to pack light. Hope you get a good room mate, because Temple makes it very difficult to switch rooms.
Food and Dining Because most Temple students either commute or live off campus, the food is terrible. Make sure to either get a meal plan for only once or twice a week, or make sure you live in a dorm that does not require a meal plan. Temple Towers is great because you don't have to have a meal plan and you have your own full kitchen.
What to do for fun Temple University always has plenty of events, from athletic to random events happening on campus. If you don't like anything going on on campus, there is always plenty to do in Philadelphia Center City! But make sure to get back to campus before midnight: public transportation runs only four times over night, and you'll probably end up getting in a bad situation with a homeless person or having to pay for a cab ride.
Bang for the buck Temple is quite cheap if you are in state and is definitely worth the cost. If you are out of state, expect to pay twice as much as in state. If you're out of state, you end up getting treated rudely and don't get nearly as many benefits (such as work study) as in state.
Great for these types of students Students who want to experience great diversity and have access to the city will love Temple University.
Clubs and Activities There are literally hundreds of clubs and activities to suit any type of person. If you don't like what is offered, the process is fairly easy to create your own club.
Greek Life Greek Life is only 3% of Temple's Students. It doesn't matter if you're in or you're not, no one really knows about the Greek Life unless they are one of the greeks. If you are in greek life, there are TONS of parties happening almost every night, but the greek houses are usually pretty dirty and grimy.
Campus Safety There are literally hundreds of police on campus, mostly on bicycle. There is a bus that will take you to an off campus apartment if it is late at night. There is still a lot of crime just off campus, so make sure to be street smart, and don't walk home alone too late. Also, crime dramatically spikes around Christmas when robberies are abundant, so make sure you are especially careful right before winter break and never be out after dark.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I am currently in the honors program at Temple University. There is such a wide variety of classes to take, so the amount of knowledge you'll obtain is incredible. I've learned so much about numerous topics, and from this information, I am able to form valid opinions that I wasn't previously able to do.
Am enjoying being here The area isn't very affluent, hence crime is a constant problem. I constantly fear being robbed or held at gunpoint due to the ubiquitous occurrences. The athletic activities are incredible and a lot of fun to watch though.
Bang for the buck Great educational value, even for out-of-state students.
Tips for prospective students Definitely visit before committing and keep in mind that it is an open campus.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot While attending Temple University, my yearning for education blossomed. My instructors helped me connect with the information on a personal level and I was able to be entertained in class. Since all of my classes had something that kept me enjoying the class, I was able to apply information in one class to another class I was taking that semester.
Am enjoying being here I love Temple. There is no other place with a strong sense of family and support with anyone that is a part of the Temple family. Whether it is at a sports game or while studying, it is enjoyable to feel like you are a part of a bigger family. It also helps that Temple provides many fun activities and clubs that are easy to get involved in.
Bang for the buck Temple provides a myriad of resources that makes the tuition worth it in the end. With the state of the art Tech Center to the fully stocked library, it is easy to obtain information. Also the events that are held on campus are free, so there is no way to spend more money than necessary.
Tips for prospective students I would recommend finding financial aid before attending Temple. Though the tuition is cheap for in state students, it does not hurt to prepare for any financial burdens. Also I have seen many students wait in the financial aid office at the last minute. Be prepared and know when your bills are due.
Great for these types of students Temple is great for sport lovers and people that yearn for education. The sense of community that comes at every game is not short from amazing. Also, Temple provides an atmosphere that provides students with the love of learning. Temple is just an all around great school for anyone considering its diverse student body and its ability to provide a wide variety of activities for anyone.

Categories Rating Comments Will learn a lot It's best to learn a lot in the classroom as well as outside the classroom. Temple University has a campus that is packed with people with different backgrounds, languages, and cultures. If your major is something along the lines of interacting with people from all over the world, be prepared to learn something from your future colleagues, friends, and teachers.
Will enjoy being here With there so much to do for so less in the heart of Philadelphia, one will enjoy being a Temple Owl. There are over 200 student organizations to chose from to meet different people and to get involved in what your interests are. There is always something to do at Temple University. You will never get bored of it.
Bang for the buck For a well known, competitive university, Temple sure is fair when it comes to tuition.
Tips for prospective students Take caution if wandering around alone, especially at night. Walk with a group of friends and be aware of your surroundings and that is for every place you travel in. Have fun but be smart when it comes to having fun.
Great for these types of students Students looking for a diverse atmosphere as well as a taste for the city life.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot One thing that cannot be argued is that the Temple professors will teach you new things. The coursework is made to not be mundane. They give you new information. If the information isn't new, they present it in a new way that keeps it from being boring. In all of my classes, I feel that I am actually learning and not just going through the motions. In high school, I felt like I forgot everything moments after taking a test. At Temple, I take the things that I have learned and build upon them.
Am enjoying being here I enjoy being here quite a bit. The fact that the school is in Philadelphia is awesome. Most college students just have the campus. Temple students have the campus AND Philadelphia. There are plenty of cool places to go all over the city. I have had a lot of fun, cultural experiences. Unlike at other schools, you don't have to be into partying to have fun. Temple's location provides you with a unique experience. The only down side is that the areas directly surrounding campus can be a little sketchy. Stay on campus, and you are fine.
Bang for the buck Temple is a state school, and it is relatively cheap. It is not, however, immune to the economic crisis. Tuition prices have gone up, but so have the merit based scholarships that they provide. At Temple, you have TONS of resources and truly quality professors. You cannot deny that you are getting a high tier state school for much less than the other upper tier state schools. Temple is definitely worth the money.
Tips for prospective students Make sure that you have a lot of passion in your essay. The admissions people love when they can understand a person and get to their very core in their application. They love diversity on campus, so make sure that you get across what makes you special. Also, don't slack off on your grades. People don't realize that Temple is not easy to get into. It is just as difficult as the other upper tier state schools.
Great for these types of students The Fox Business School is a rising business school and many students do very well there. The Boyer School of Music and Dance is renowned and has some very prestigious alumni. These are just two examples, all of the schools under Temple University are exemplary. There are over 130 majors to choose from. If you are undecided, you will be able to find what you want to do at Temple.

Am enjoying being here With over 200 group organizations and the many events that happen in campus you will never be bored!!! I am in 4 organizations and believe me when i tell you i am enjoying all of them. Not only has it given me a chance to make new friends but it will also encourage you to do better in classes. Its not an utopian society you will have some rude people but its life. Temple keeps me on my toes plus there is also something going all. Whether it be a prep-rally for the big game or a concert, you will never be bored...unless you choose to be.
Bang for the buck Lets see awesome organizations for anybody check.
Teachers that are willing to help you...Check.
Beautiful campus..check.
What more could I say. I get alot of bang for my buck and I'm happy as ever. Plus we have the best campus food ever..also.Tips for prospective students You must have a SAT score above a 1300 in order to get in without the Summer Bridge Program. If you are chosen to participate in the Summer Bridge program do not be discourage. I went through that program and I made it. I passed. The program gives you a head start that the other incoming students won't know anything about.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I personally am learning a lot; however, you get what you want. If is not difficult to find the easy teachers on campus if you really want, or if you want to challenge yourself those teachers are easy to find too. Once you really get in to classes for your major you get teachers who are specialist in the area of the class that they are teaching which tends to make the class more interesting because the teacher cares about the subject.
Am enjoying being here Philly is a great area to be in, there's always something to do, and most things are a short subway ride away. It obviously known that Temple is in kind of a rough area, but you learn pretty quickly what are the good and bad ends of campus and places that you dont go.
Bang for the buck Temple's financial aid is known by everyone as sucking.
Tips for prospective students You really just need to visit campus if you have any doubts, everyone that I know loves Temple, I think that anyone can kind their niche you just have to put yourself out there are look for it.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot If you want to experience more than just going to school, then Temple is for you. At Temple not only do you get to study in multiple fields through the GenEd program and learn from innovative and active teachers, but you also get to live on your own in the great Philadelphia. There are teachers who are also current professionals in their field in Philadelphia, which allows students to go out to witness and even work with their teachers. Living in Philly is also a learning experience on its own; a real life classroom.
Am enjoying being here I love going to Temple. There are many schools in Philly, but only one that can teach you how to live on your own. I think that Temple produces smart students that understand what it takes, financially and mentally, to start a life. The one fault that I find most Temple students complain about is the help of the administration. In order to get something done, we have to figure it out on our own. This can be really frustrating, but it produces the student's ability to start their own life that I discussed before. As a result of having to find my own housing and applying for and getting a work study job and a job outside of school on my own, I now feel much more prepared for life outside of college. In fact, I feel as if I've already begun living life after school, which is truly a great and unique experience.
Bang for the buck As an out of state student, the tuition is a bit much for me. Compared to other schools and considering everything that is here to offer, the price is pretty good. The resources available are great, such as the 24 hour TECH center filled with multiple computer labs, conference rooms, recording rooms, and even a Starbucks.
Tips for prospective students In order to succeed here, you have to be self motivated. You can learn a great deal, make great friends, create connections in many different networks, and have a great time if you are willing to do it for yourself. It is a big school, so you have make a name for yourself on your own, but that just makes the experience more rewarding.
Great for these types of students Temple is the perfect school for someone who wants to be independent and is motivated to succeed.

Categories Rating Comments Will learn a lot I have sat in on some of the seminars given by professors - they are always very interesting and willing to talk to you not only about the subject they teach, but about you!
Will enjoy being here I cannot wait to attend Temple University. My brother was also a student there and he loved it. There are endless opportunities for fun also in Philadelphia for all types of people; Philadelphia has the most history per block if you're a history buff, the Franklin Institute for all the science people, the Philadelphia Museum of Art is always worth checking out (and of course, you can climb the steps just like Rocky did!), Chinatown, theatres... the possibilities are numerous if you take the time to get to know the city. Temple also has its own bubble, so if you just want to stick around campus they have it all there for you too!
Bang for the buck Temple has one of the lowest tuition rates in the state; in addition, they give great financial support and opportunities for scholarships, working opportunities including work study, and flexibility.
Tips for prospective students Visit the campus. I truly feel at home there and seeing how students interact with the people at Temple and how enthusiastic they are about their education really influenced my decision to attend.
Great for these types of students Anyone who likes a rural school.

Categories Rating Comments Did learn a lot The architecture department is outstanding! The curriculum is top-notch and the professors have much to offer.
Did enjoy being here I was a commuter student (an hour one way on the train) which made it difficult for me to experience the school as it was intended. The campus is absolutely amazing and inspiring.
Bang for the buck The school is a bit on the expensive side, but there are several assistance opportunities.
Tips for prospective students Live on campus to experience everything Temple has to offer. The student counseling department is terrible. Be aware of your rights as a student, do your own research and do not be afraid to go over their heads to get what you are entitled. Basically, do not take no for an answer. Everything else about the school is exceptional.
Great for these types of students On campus and non-working

Bang for the buck It is pricey but their are lots of scholarship options.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I am not just learning in the academic arena here at Temple University but also in learning about the community and about diversity. I am learning how to interact with people of diverse backgrounds and situations. It's a great place to develop a sense of self sufficiency.
Am enjoying being here I love being in Temple University. I love the feeling of being in the city and the atmosphere. It's a really down-to-earth environment to be in. I always seem to discover new things about the city of Philadelphia and the Temple campus itself. And the students here are friendly and there is just so much school activities to get to know others who share the same interests as you. It's wonderful!
Bang for the buck I believe Temple University is more than enough in the category of bang for your buck. The technology Temple University offers, the quality of the professors teaching, the accessibility to tutoring, advising, counseling, school activities, social gathering and much more is great and over-exceeded my expectations.
Tips for prospective students Tips for prospective students include: wear comfortable shoes to walk around campus to your classes. It's not TOO much walking but you still want to remain comfortable. In classes with bigger lecture class rooms, sit closer to the front to get the activity of the professor without the distractions that come with sitting in the back of the room.
Great for these types of students Temple University is great for students who like to feel the city culture. It is great for the creative students who like to express their style in fashion, art, music and uniqueness. It is great for the students who like to be individuals and self-sufficient Being in Temple University helps you to become more independent. Temple University is great for the social, extroverts students. The night scene, the in school and out-of-school activities are countless and the best part, you don't have to look far to discover it. I believe Temple University caters to a lot of personality types. Thus the reason why Temple University is rated 5 stars on diversity tolerance.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I've learned a lot in all my classes. Gen Eds are interesting and provide a broad array of topics that can help you decide what you want to major in if you aren't sure. They also provide a break from the classes required by your major. If you pay attention and do your work, you'll learn everything you need and get good grades.
Am enjoying being here Philadelphia is a great city. One thing people tend assume about Temple is that it's in a really bad neighborhood. While the surrounding area isn't exactly affluent, it doesn't mean you aren't safe. I always feel safe when I'm on campus, and in the area surrounding it. As long as you don't wander too far at night, you should be fine. Another great thing about Temple is that it's such a big school, you're bound to find a great group of friends you can relate to, especially if you join student organizations. Temple is a great place to go if you want to balance work and play.
Bang for the buck I'm a student in the College of Science and Technology, and I've learned a lot from my classes. The advisers are very helpful, when you can get an appointment with one at least. There's currently a shortage and you have to schedule an entire month in advance! I'm also out of state, so I'm paying more than most of the rest of the school's population which is mostly in state. However, Temple was fairly generous with financial aide and merit scholarships so I'm comfortable with the amount I am paying to go here in relation to the education that I'm receiving.
Tips for prospective students Don't wander to far off campus at night and stick with a group. Temple is a big school, and you'll have big classes, but if you do your work and take time to to to the teacher or any of the various tutoring organizations for help, you will do fine in your classes. I would definitely suggest getting all of your Gen Ed courses out of the way as soon as possible; if you're still in high school, AP credits can usually count for Gen Eds. Over all, be safe, have fun, but put your school work first.
Great for these types of students Temple is great for students who are outgoing and willing to put themselves out there. As I mentioned, it's a big school, so if you want to do well and get recommendations for teachers when applying to graduate school, professional schools, and the like, you have to take initiative to go up and talk to them. If you're ambitious, unique, and determined to do the best you can do, I would recommend Temple University.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Temple has been challenging, and I am so grateful my high school prepared me. I am also very lucky to have some great professors in my first year. The diversity of the school population and the classes had made my first year extremely rewarding.
Am enjoying being here I've met so many great people. Although Temple is in an urban setting, sometimes it feels like it is in its own bubble.
Tips for prospective students Attend the open houses, deciding to live or commute to an urban setting is not for everyone, make sure it is the right decision for you! If you know your intended major, make an appointment with the department head. Learn more about the program and what Temple has to offer you!
Great for these types of students Enjoy an urban setting; want a diverse student population; enjoy community volunteer events; want a big school, but won't allow yourself to get lost in the numbers.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot My classes are each very interesting, and involve active learning, rather than simply taking notes while the professor lectures.
Am enjoying being here Temple is a great environment, despite the bad reputation North Philadelphia seems to have. Its busy and bustling with life, and plenty of activities to keep you busy !
Bang for the buck While the bookstore prices are quite high, the grocery store on campus and the couple thrift stores are only a walk away from saving a few bucks on essentials for college !
Tips for prospective students Just be yourself, study hard, and the rest will fall into place
Great for these types of students Motivated, fast-moving, determined, and prepared for the worst, just in case technical difficulties arise (be patient; its a big university)

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The classes are very suited to you. You learn a lot during each class and if you do not get the material at first the teachers are willing to give you extra help. The staff are very helpful.
Am enjoying being here There are numerous clubs that suit all interest here. There are also great hang out spots around the campus and extracurricular activities to do.
Bang for the buck There are gyms in all of the dormitories and big three gyms located throughout the campus. There are three eating facilities. There is a store for everyone on campus.
Tips for prospective students The earlier you submit your application, the better picks you have, trust me.
Great for these types of students Students who like the urban environment and who like getting a good education.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The professors here really want to help you succeed and do the best you can. They cater to your specific needs and help you learn the way you do best.
Am enjoying being here The campus is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and there's always something going on. If nothing seems to interest you, there's always groups of people hanging out by the Bell Tower or along Liacorous Walk.
Bang for the buck The school provides you with so much, that you can't complain for the price you're paying. It's not cheap, but it's also no wheres near the most expensive. It's moderately priced and it's definitely an enjoyable experience.
Tips for prospective students Get involved and come visit! I went on so many tours and meetings before coming here so that I could definitely decide if I wanted to come here. Living in the city is the greatest experience and it definitely makes you grow up so much faster than you would anywhere else. Temple may not be right for you if you'd prefer a smaller college, and that's okay. But if you're in for always having a great time and being involved with a large campus in a city, than you should definitely look into Temple!

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Can safely say that I am learning an immense amount of information from Temple University. The teachers are well educated and are engaging to the materials of the course. They force us to work hard every day to ensure that we learn as much as possible in the semester.
Am enjoying being here The campus is exquisite. There are many places to go for all kinds of activities: studying, working, relaxing social events, etc. Everybody is friendly and are able to relate to.
Bang for the buck For the quality of the education, I would say so. Temple University offers over a hundred different majors. Temple is well known for being the top in the nation in various types of fields.
Tips for prospective students Temple University has so much to offer. Diversity is a major aspect of Temple. Enjoy what you can out of college and you will be happier in the end.
Great for these types of students Temple is great for students who embraces diversity. Temple pulls in students of all different backgrounds and ethnicity. Temple also has a 34,000 student body so prepare for a large, urban setting.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot There is definitely a lot to learn from being at Temple. For whatever interests you, there is most certainly a class for it. I chose Temple because of its high priority to advance students who choose pre-professional programs, such as pre-pharmacy or pre-medical. Also, the tutoring program is exceptional at Temple, for those who need help outside of the classroom. Overall, the opportunities here are endless.
Am enjoying being here When I came to Temple for the first time, I was nervous that I wouldn't like the city, or that it would be too dangerous to live in center city Philadelphia. However, I came to find out that Philly feels more like a large town, and not a city. My worries about crime on campus were also relieved when I found out that Temple University has its own police force. The police force is constantly patrolling the area, and there are hundreds of street lights on campus, because their safety motto is, a well-lit campus is a safe campus. Also, after talking to the upperclassmen and faculty here, I have been assured that the worst crime that happens on campus, is roommates stealing from each other.
When it comes to the weekend, Temple doesn't go to sleep. It's so easy to hop on the subway and go to south street (the technical downtown area) or relax on campus with friends. However, for those coming to school to party, Temple is strictly dry campus, so no alcohol is allowed in dorms.Bang for the buck Compared to other schools I was interested in attending, Temple is extremely low-cost. When Temple University was founded, its main ideal was to provide education to all. For over 125 years this thought has rang true, and as proof the tuition at Temple is only a third of the cost of its competiting college neighbor, Drexel University. However, don't think that Temple University has underfunded courses, the teachers here are well practiced, and willing to help.
Tips for prospective students This is definitely a great place to learn, but still have fun. I have lived my whole life in the countryside, but Philadelphia feels more relaxed than other cities I've visited. I would definitely recommend Temple University to anyone hoping to heighten their skill levels, but still be able to jump on the subway to go to Philadelphia's exciting downtown district.
Great for these types of students Temple University is an amazing choice for all students, but it should be considered especially by those who wish to go into professional schools. By already being at Temple University, one has a straightforward approach to all of its off-campus professional schools, instead of going to another school and hoping all of the credits transfer.
