Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot It's a great learning environment. Thing to remember is , don't be afraid to ask questions. If you don't then you will be stuck. NO ONE IS GOING TO LAUGH AT YOU. Heck, they might've had the same question.
Am enjoying being here It's very fun and there are many clubs to join. Like the Spanish club for instance..There are a variety of things for extracurricular and even work study!
Tips for prospective students 1. Prepare. Even if you think you packed a pencil, go a head and pack another. You don't want to come to class without one.
2. Review your schedule. This is good so that you aren't missing classes because you forgot where you were supposed to go
3. Take notes. This is very important because a lot of the teachers will tell you whats on the test and sometimes will even let you use your notes in a test. Notes also are key when studying.Login to rate or flag the reviews

Categories Rating Comments Did learn a lot The teachers were full of knowledge and really wanted to help you learn the subject at hand. If you were serious and worked hard, they were willing to meet you halfway. My teachers did a great job.
Did enjoy being here Except for some administrative troubles, was a great experience. My counselor was there for me (I was in a scholarship program), the teachers were helpful and it was a pleasant place to go.
Bang for the buck You learn a good bit for your dollar, and it's a great starter college.
Tips for prospective students 1. Keep on the ball with the paperwork. Administrative problems can happen.
2. Get a good counselor. College isn't something you do alone.
3. Talk to other students about the teachers. Teachers can be hit or miss in some cases.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The instructors that I have had are very good at teaching. They try to make sure that the material they teach is well presented and understood. They welcome questions to make sure the material is understood.
Am enjoying being here I don't like the idea of having to go back to school, but now that I'm here I am making the best of it.
Bang for the buck I think it's worth the money. If you are there to learn.
Tips for prospective students Go there with an open mind and a willingness to learn.
Great for these types of students ALL

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences A place where students can get their basic classes or finish their degrees while saving money. A school where class room size is small enough where you can get help from the teacher and know everyone in your class.
Tips for prospective students Take notes, sit close to the front, don't be afraid to ask questions. Ucc is a great place to start but you have to take advantage of all it has to offer!
Academic Rigor The class room experience is different than any i have ever been in. Some teachers are extremely helpful and some make the class room experience extremely board. But you learn what you go to learn.
Dorm Life UCC doesn't have dorms.
Food and Dining Never ate in the cafeteria
Bang for the buck You get out of the class what you put into it.
Clubs and Activities If you don't know anyone involved in anything it is difficult to know what is going on or to get involved in things.
Campus Safety Security is always around when you need them!

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences The instructors are knowledgeable and very helpful. But the infrastructure is outdated and overcrowded, and the administration (including financial aid, registration etc.) are severely lacking in ability and helpfulness.
Tips for prospective students Prepare to be patient when applying, registering, and paying for classes.
What to do for fun There isn't much on campus but the Umpqua Valley has many outdoor activities.
Clubs and Activities Virtually nonexistent.
