Located in rural East Lansing, MI, but very close to an urban area, it’s a great place to get an education while enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. In fact, we couldn’t have said it better than Nick R., an MSU freshman who remarked, “In addition to having a plethora of opportunities to take advantage of on Michigan State University's campus, students have the pleasure of learning in one of the most beautiful environments in the country. I often think the campus is a national park instead of a school because of the acres of trees, small animals, and rivers that go through the already green campus.” The university houses about 46,000 students, and notable alumni include the NBA star Magic Johnson and former Michigan Governors James Blanchard and John Engler.
