Service and Leadership Development Scholarship (New Students)

Scholarship Description
Initial eligibility: Scholarship application; Two (2) letters of recommendation; Demonstration of financial need as determined by the FAFSA or Financial Aid Departmental guidelines; Enrollment in a minimum of 7.5 credit hours; Students graduated prior to May 2007 must have proof of graduation on file. Awards: $1000-$3000 disbursed over two consecutive semesters (award amounts based upon enrollment).

Renewal Criteria
To maintain eligibility for the second disbursement a student must: Register for 7.5 or more credits for 2nd semester; Achieve a 2.0 GPA in Harrington coursework; Meet with an advisor four (4) times during the semester; Document participation in a minimum of five (5) hours of Harrington sponsored activities. Activities can include - service to student sponsored organizations/events, service to professional organizations or attendance at any event that fulfills the lab requirement for studio classes except attendance at Open Studio Lab; Participate in one financial literacy workshop during the term.
