Presidential Scholarships

Scholarship Description
Description : This scholarship fund was established in memory of Colonel Michael Baymor. Each year a scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from a Fort Knox area high school. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist a deserving student in pursuing a post-secondary education. The scholarship is to be used for tuition, books or fees while attending an accredited college, university, vocational or technical school. Eligibility: Be a family member of an active duty service member, or of a retired or deceased military sponsor or a son/daughter/grandson/granddaughter of a Fort Knox TROA (The Retired Officer's Association) chapter member/associate member. Be a graduating senior attending a high school in the Fort Knox area (Fort Knox, North Hardin, Central Hardin, Meade County, or Elizabethtown). Have applied to an accredited college, university, vocational or technical school. May not be a recipient of a full four-year scholarship or have accepted an appointment to a military academy. In the event this occurs, the scholarship will be withdrawn and awarded to an alternate. Submit a completed application packet by the specified due date. Award Amount: $500.
