Performing Arts Scholarships are available in art, music, speech/forensics, and
theatre and may be granted to new students or current SSCC students. New student
scholarship awards are for one year and are renewable for a second year
based on academic performance, achievement in the arts, and availability. These
scholarships are awarded on the condition that the student is full-time and actively
engaged in a college program as a student artist. Current students may apply
during or after their second semester at the College and are also renewable.

Arts Scholarships are required to demonstrate their talent in tryouts before the
Fine Arts faculty. New students applying for Performing Arts Scholarships in the
spring will be expected to attend the Fine Arts Audition day scheduled in the
Sandra Hall Ray Fine Arts Center on the Martin Campus of the College for auditions.
