Economically disadvantaged Macon County residents will be eligible for a grant to help them meet school expenses. A bona fide Macon County student will be deemed economically disadvantaged if determined to be eligible for a Pell Grant. The amount of the grant will be determined each year. A dependent student’s residential status is determined by the permanent address of the student’s parent(s). The resident status of
an independent student will be determined at the time of matriculation. Funds may be awarded to non-eligible Pell student provided they demonstrate a financial need and there are remaining funds available after all Pell-eligible student have been considered.
