Mitchell Scholars must have a demonstrated record of intellectual distinction, a record of leadership, extra-curricular activities, personal characteristics of honesty, integrity, fairness, and unselfish service to others, and a potential for future leadership and contribution to society. Mitchell Scholars must demonstrate a very good reason for undertaking their proposed course of study in Ireland. Institutional nomination is required.
