Church-Related Vocation (CRV) Scholarship
- Scholarship Description
- Church-Related Vocation (CRV) Scholarship Description: • The Church-Related Vocation (CRV) Scholarship is designed to assist students who are preparing for a vocation as a minister. Eligibility: • The recipient must be a Southern Baptist student preparing for vocational ministry as a minister of education, music, children, youth, pastor, missionary, or denominational minister through the Southern Baptist Convention. • Applicants for the scholarship must be interviewed and recommended by a faculty member of the Christian Studies Division. • Recipients must satisfactorily participate in the Supervised Ministry Program for students preparing for ministry in a church-related vocation. • Recipients must complete at least nine (9) units of upper division coursework within the Christian Studies Division. • A local Southern Baptist Church must certify the recipient's status. Satisfactory church attendance and participation are required. • The scholarship is renewable annually, with approval from the Chair of the Christian Studies Division. Award: • Recipients who have earned less than sixty (60) units may receive up to $500 per semester for the Fall and Spring semesters. Recipients who have earned sixty (60) or more units may receive up to $800 per semester for the Fall and Spring semesters. Procedure: • Applicants may inquire directly with the School of Christian Ministry.
