President's Scholarship

Scholarship Description
President's Scholarship Eligibility: • The President's Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship designed to attract and retain students of exceptional academic ability. It is available only to entering freshman and students who transfer from a regionally accredited institution. The recipient must have earned a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale in a college preparatory program and a minimum SAT score of 1100 or ACT composite score of 24. The scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2. • Students entering with less than 30 units of transfer work from other colleges or universities must meet the high school GPA requirement. • Should the cumulative GPA drop below this requirement, the recipient will be given one probationary semester to restore the GPA to the minimum level. Only one such probationary semester will be allowed throughout the student's tenure at California Baptist University. Academic progress will be monitored each semester. Award: • A recipient may receive up to $2,250 per semester for the Fall and Spring semesters. • Scholarships will be awarded initially upon approval from the Admissions Office and are renewable annually as long as eligibility is maintained, up to the maximum of four consecutive academic years.
