Graduate Student Research Grants
- Scholarship Description
- Graduate Student Research Grants Graduate Student Research Grants are intended to stimulate and support research by graduate students currently enrolled in master’s degree programs. Research grants will range from $100 to $500 to support (1) travel expenses for students delivering invited research papers at professional meetings, (2) expenses necessary to conduct research that are not covered by the department or school, and (3) publication and reprint costs for research papers accepted by professional journals. Research does not have to be related to a master’s thesis or project. Research may be done individually, in collaboration with a faculty member, or with other students. Applications for the Graduate Student Research Grant are available in the APGS Student Services office, Warren Hall 877, or by clicking here. (We are no longer accepting applications for this academic year.) To complete your application, please include (1) a three to five page description of the research project, (2) a detailed line item budget, (3) a letter from a faculty sponsor attesting to the quality of the research and need for support, and (4) a statement of matching funds, if applicable, from the department, school, or personal sources (matching funds are not required).
