Scholarship Description

1. WV Residents eligible for Level 1, 2 and 3 WV Resident Freshmen Scholarships satisfy WVU Tech's “General Requirements for Admission of High School Graduates” in addition to the academic performance criteria listed in the table. 2. Level 1, 2 and 3 WV Resident Freshmen Scholarship recipients must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours of WVU Tech courses applicable to graduation from a particular WVU Tech program during an academic year to maintain eligibility for a subsequent academic year. Recipients can only maintain receipt of the scholarship for four contiguous academic years. Only the WVU Tech Campus Provost can grant exceptions to this criterion. Appeals for exceptions to this criterion must be submitted to the WVU Tech Campus Provost Office at least 60 days before the exception is required. 4. Level 2 and 3 WV Resident Freshmen Scholarship recipients must have a minimum 2.75 overall GPA from WVU Tech and a minimum 2.75 professional GPA from WVU Tech at the end of the summer term before an academic year begins to maintain eligibility for that academic year. Only the WVU Tech Campus Provost can grant exceptions to this criterion. Appeals for exceptions to this criterion must be submitted to the WVU Tech Campus Provost Office for consideration at least 60 days before the exception is required.
