Amount: $1,000 Class Standing: Junior
Offered to a student who demonstrates financial need, academic achievement and clinical promise in the field. All applicants are required to submit an essay of approximately 300 words expressing how they meet the criteria. Faculty recommendations are not required, however applicants may add letters of support to their application from faculty and/or other individuals who can address the applicant's practical experience in the field. The selection and criteria process will be as follows:
A. To be eligible, applicant must be a student in their junior year majoring in Communication Disorders at SUNY New Paltz.
B. Applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
This award is based primarily on a student's ability to show financial need and clinical promise in the field. Need can be demonstrated
through one or more of the following; tax returns, W-2 wage and tax statements, financial aid application and/or student account
invoice. Clinical promise can be demonstrated through the essay required of each applicant. Additionally, applicants can provide letters
of support from faculty and/or other individuals who can address the applicant's practical experience in the field.
