The Altman GU Scholarship
- Scholarship Description
- Alan Ende, class of 1981, received a degree in biology and physical sciences, and went on the become a research scientist with Pan America University and a chemist with Sili-Tex Company of San Marcos, CA. Shortly after his death in 1987, this endowment was established by Alan’s many friends who valued his determination and positive attitude though out his educational career and his lifelong struggle with poor health. Funding is continued annually through the Alan Ende Memorial Golf Tournament. Recipients of these scholarships must participate in track or cross country. Selection is made through the DSU Athletic Director and Cross Country and Track Coach.
