Scholarship Description
This endowed scholarship fund was donated by Mr. John Flavin, a Dallas, Texas businessman, with the primary goal of assisting eligible undergraduate students from the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area who demonstrate significant financial need. The scholarship is awarded to undergraduates who demonstrate financial need for GU scholarship aid, with preference in selection to eligible students of African-American or Hispanic descent who are residents of the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area, or to eligible students from that area who have been proactive in their community on matters and issues affecting African-Americans or Hispanics.
