The Stephen C. and H. Max Ammerman Memorial GU & NHS Scholarships
- Scholarship Description
- In the spring of 1972, the Ammerman family established a scholarship in tribute to their son, Stephen C. Ammerman, who was killed in Thailand in February 1972. The scholarship was renamed in 1989 to honor also the memory of Stephen's father, the late H. Max Ammerman. Scholarships are awarded to students in each of the undergraduate schools who demonstrate financial need for Georgetown scholarship aid, with preference in selection to students with an interest in Asian affairs or languages, or Judaic traditions, or who are from Washington, D.C.
