Scholarship Description
Academic Scholarships are given to newly graduated high school students who have achieved academically as evidenced by the SAT, ACT, COMPASS and/or cumulative high school grade point average. Outstanding Student Scholars as evidenced by a college entrance exam and/or cumulative high school grade point average as described in chart A or B, will be awarded a scholarship of $1750 per year for two academic years. General requirements for academic scholarship: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility for additional student aid. Complete the Mohave Community College Scholarship Application. A high school administrator or counselor must complete section 7 of the MCC Scholarship Application. Enroll as a full time student, twelve or more credit hours per semester. Recipients must complete 67 percent of attempted course work with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 each academic year.
