The UCM Navy V-12 Scholarship is available through the University of Central Missouri Foundation for a student pursuing a military career or that has a parent or relative associated with the military. This scholarship is made possible by way of a gift from the Irvin L. and Edna A. Peters Scholarship Fund and members of the UCM Navy V-12 Program. To apply, a student must:
a.
be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at UCM;
b.
have been or planning for a military career or have a parent or relative that has been associated with the military (“relative” is defined as immediate family, i.e. parents, siblings, grandparent(s) that has been associated with the military);
c.
demonstrate outstanding leadership abilities and high scholastic achievement;
d.
possess high standards of character as evidenced by the statements of applicant’s peers, employers and instructors;
e.
demonstrate financial need. Criteria for graduate students as identified in the original Irvin L. and Edna A. Peters Scholarship:
a.
be or plan to be admitted to the School of Graduate Studies at UCM the following academic year and be accepted into a degree program in higher education and administration of student personnel administration;
b.
have an undergraduate minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or have completed a minimum of nine (9) credit hours of graduate study and have a minimum overall cumulative graduate GPA of 3.25;
c.
have a record of outstanding scholastic achievement;
d.
possess high standards of character and leadership qualities.
