James H. Porter Academic Scholarships
- Scholarship Description
- Porter Academic Scholarships are made possible through a trust fund created by James H. Porter and authorized by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. The scholarships are provided as an incentive to attract academically talented students to the University. Priority will be given to prior recipients for renewal. The scholarship currently pays $3,000 per academic year.

- Eligibility requirements are as follows: (1) resident of Georgia; (2) full-time undergraduate student with a composite SAT score of 1100 or a 24 on the ACT or better and with a high school GPA of 3.0 or better; or full-time graduate student with an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or better and have scores on the GRE of at least 1110, NTE or WCET of 600 or better, or GMAT of 500 or better; (3) meet all other requirements established by the Board of Regents.
