The College of Coastal Georgia Foundation created the Building Our Academic Talent
(BOAT) Scholarship to provide financial assistance to recruit and retain high-achieving
students who will become academic leaders on campus.
This grant awards a maximum of $1,000 per semester to a limited number of entering
students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance in high school who
will attend the College of Coastal Georgia to complete their degree. Students may receive
the scholarship for up to 8 semesters provided they continue to meet eligibility criteria.
BOAT applications will be considered for initial award during fall semesters. The
deadline for scholarship applications is November 30 for freshman and March 1 for all
other students. Late applications will be retained as alternates.

Minimum high school GPA of 3.2 (3.5 or more is preferred); enroll full-time as a freshman in an associate or baccalaureate program; earn a GPA of 3.2 or better for the semester(s) for which the grant is awarded; agree to participate in College recruitment activities.
