The L.R. Towson Scholarships( Senior Award)

Scholarship Description
Criteria: i. Completed application, ii. Chemistry major, iii. Classified as a Senior by 1st semester of the award with a cumulative GPA of 2.5, iv. Completed 18 semester hours of chemistry above the 1000 level with a GPA of 2.5, v. 2 letters of recommendation by faculty members, one from outside the Department. Selection Process:The granting of the awards will be determined by the faculty of the Department of Chemistry during the Summer Semester prior to the awards granted annually in the Fall Semester. In the event of 2 or more candidates having equal qualifications, student need will determine the award.Monetary Amount:The award is for $400 per semester for each of the Fall and Spring Semesters based on availability of funds. Failure to maintain minimum criteria results in discontinuation of the award.These are the current guidelines for scholarships offered through the Department of Chemistry to which the Department will adhere in the distribution of the awards.
