The Alumni Award, established in 1981 by the School of Nursing Alumni Association, is an annual award of $250 to the graduate student who submits a paper judged best in competition. The paper may be on any topic relevant to nursing, and will be judged on clarity of thought, originality of ideas, thorough exploration of the topic, and the extent to which an interesting approach is use to present the topic. A panel of faculty judges selected by the Dean will determine the winner.
