Department of Hawaiian Home Lands Scholarship

Scholarship Description
Institutional scholarship awarded to a new entering day student that is a dependent of a current resident who holds the lease to a Hawaiian Home Lands property. This award is renewable for up to three additional years. APPLICATION PROCESS: Student should apply through the Office of Admissions. Applicants must: (For First Year Students) 1. Be a dependent of a current resident who holds a lease to a Hawaiian Home Lands property. 2. Be accepted into Chaminade University as an unconditionally admitted full-time day student with a high school cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. 3. Be charged the maximum full-time, undergraduate day student tuition for the academic year. (For Transfer Students) 1. Be a dependent of a current resident who holds a lease to a Hawaiian Home Lands property. 2. Have completed an associates degree and be unconditionally admitted to Chaminade as a full-time day student with a cumulative GPA from previous colleges of at least 2.5. 3. Be charged the maximum full-time, undergraduate day student tuition for the academic year. AWARD AMOUNT: (For First Year Students) The award ranges from $4,500 to $6,000.00 for the academic year ($2,250 to $3,000 per semester). Awards are credited against the recipient’s tuition charges. (For Transfer Students) The award is $6,000 per year ($3,000 per semester). Awards are credited against the recipient’s tuition charges. DEADLINE: Applications should be submitted prior to the start of the semester for which the student intends to enroll.
