Merit Scholarships

Scholarship Description
Exemplary students are selected to receive merit scholarships that are guaranteed for four years of study. Our merit scholarships are among the oldest in the country, and are awarded to applicants on the basis of outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, demonstrated leadership, and commitment to their communities. Merit awards are determined by Faculty Committee and the Office of College Admissions without consideration of financial need, and are guaranteed for four years of undergraduate study. To be considered for a merit scholarship, simply check the box on the Common Application that reads â??Do you intend to apply for merit-based scholarships?â?? All first-year applicants are eligible; unfortunately transfer applicants are not. Scholarship winners will receive notification of their awards on a rolling basis through the end of April. Please note that only scholarship winners are notified.
