Harold Washington Service Award
- Scholarship Description
- The Harold Washington Service Award is a service-based program. HWSA will pay a student’s tuition and certain fees. HWSA is not awarded for summer term enrollment. Students who qualify for a state tuition-assisted program are not eligible for HWSA. Be an active participant in a college-sponsored organization. Be nominated by an HWC faculty member or administrator. Have a 2.5 graduation grade point average or higher at HWC. Transfer credit hours and grades are not included within the calculation. Be enrolled for six (6) credit hours at HWC. Meet Placement Testing requirements for college level courses and enroll in at least six (6) credit hours at Harold Washington College. Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. See above for documentation. Proof of being a resident of the City of Chicago.
