Harold Washington Academic Achievement Scholarship - New Students
Scholarship Description
A High School Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale or a GED Test Score aggregate of 260 or higher prior to January 2002. After that date an aggregate score of 2600 is required. A copy of a high school transcript or GED test scores is required as documentation. A letter of recommendation written by a counselor, teacher, employer, pastor or other individual (not a family member) with knowledge of your academic potential. United States citizen or permanent resident status. Documentation includes a U.S. birth certificate, a U.S. passport, an Alien Registration card, or naturalization papers. A Voter’s Registration Card does not prove citizenship. Proof of being a resident of the City of Chicago. Meet Placement Testing requirements for college level courses and enroll in at least six (6) credit hours at Harold Washington College.
