Emmett Foster Memorial Scholarship was established in 1974 in memory of Emmett Foster, a professor in the College of Pure and Applied Sciences at Northeast Louisiana University.

Eligibility Criterion:
1. Recipient(s) must be an incoming freshman who has maintained a high school GPA of 3.0 and scored 25 on the ACT.
2. Recipient(s) must be enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences.
3. The scholarship may be retained for a period of 4 years or until graduation as long as the student maintains a 3.0 GPA annually.
Selection: Selections of recipient(s) will be recommended according to individual selection criteria with final selections made through the ULM Scholarship Committee.
