Honors Program Scholarship

Scholarship Description
Consideration for an honors scholarship is given to entering freshmen who score at least 1100 on the SAT (or a 21 on the ACT), who rank in the top 10 percent of their class, and who have at least a 3.5 GPA. Transfer students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 also may be considered. In exceptional cases, the director of the honors program has the discretion to waive any of these requirements. The scholarship is renewable for eight semesters, provided the student successfully completes one honors course per year and maintains a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Recipients must successfully complete the Honors Colloquium in the fall of the year they become a member of the honors program. The amount of the award is dependent on the availability of funds and is pro-rated for less than full-time enrollment.
