Ackerley Computer Science and Technology Scholarship

Scholarship Description
The Ackerley Computer Science and Technology Scholars Program awards scholarships to incoming students interested in studying Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT) at Graceland University. Awards range from $2,000 to $5,000 and are renewable for all four years of study. When coupled with other academic awards that an “Ackerley Scholar” typically receives from Graceland, most of the tuition cost is covered. These scholarships are part of the Ackerley Center’s mission to promote academic excellence in CS/IT programs at Graceland by attracting outstanding students. Preference is based on academic scholarship and leadership shown by past achievement and standardized test scores. The ideal candidate has an aptitude for math and science, good communication skills, and an interest in computer technology. Prior computer programming or extensive computer experience is helpful but not required. Eligibility: - High school graduate in the year of the application, - Minimum high school GPA of 3.5, - High school math and science grades: A's and B's, - Desirable ACT scores: Math 26 & Composite 26, or SAT scores: Math 600 & Total 1200. Evaluation: Applicants will be evaluated by these criteria: - Academic success - Communication and leadership - Computer and technology interest - Standardized test scores
