Located in the small northeast Iowa town of Decorah, Luther College is an undergraduate liberal arts institution of about 2,500 students. The college is affiliated with the Lutheran Church (ELCA).
Founded in 1861 by Norwegian immigrants, Luther offers more than 60 majors and preprofessional and certificate programs leading to the bachelor of arts degree. $1,000 to $4,000 per year ($4,000 to $16,000 over 4 years). Selection Criteria:Awards are given to students who display outstanding potential for participation in music at Luther. Renewable:Yes, up to 8 semesters of full-time enrollment with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 reviewed at the end of each academic year, as well as participation in music ensembles and continued growth through private music lessons. Notes:Applicants do not need to major in music to be eligible for this scholarship. Scholarships are offered to students who participate in choral, orchestra, band and keyboard activities and are granted in addition to other academic awards and scholarships for which students may qualify.
