- Scholarship Description
- Dames scholarships are given to WSU students on the basis of financial need, merit, or inability to qualify for other scholarships. Preference is given to nontraditional female students. The Wichita State University Women’s Association (formerly known as Dames) is an organization open to faculty and administrators’ wives, and to women faculty members and administrators. Its purpose is to serve the interests of the university, to provide student scholarships, and to promote social interaction and a sense of community among its members.
