Alumni Scholarship

Scholarship Description
Be admitted to MSU as an entering freshman or as a transfer student with less than 24 total semester hours AND meet ALL of the following requirements: 1. Be a legal resident of Kentucky; and 2. Have at least one parent or grandparent or the student’s spouse be an MSU alumnus and an active member of the MSU Alumni Association and 3. Be admitted with a minimum admission index of 450 or higher; and also meet a minimum ACT composite of 18 or higher or SAT combined score of 860 or higher (Note: A 2.5 GPA and an 18 ACT would equal an Admission Index of 430, which would not meet the minimum Admission Index requirement of 450 to be unconditionally admitted.); - AND – Submit a completed application packet, including application form, transcript and test scores, by the March 15 priority deadline. Criteria for renewal: Achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 during each of the first two semesters and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for each semester thereafter. $1,000.
