Purpose: To provide financial assistance toward tuition and fees for enrollment in the CBA; recipients to be known as Heard Scholars.
Award value: $2,000 per academic year
Major: Accounting preferred
Number awarded: Usually two per year, as determined annually guided by amount of funding from trust income.
Selection Criteria: If an incoming freshman: (1) must have an overall ACT score of at least 25, and (2) must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0. If a continuing student or transfer student: (1) must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA. In both categories, special consideration may be given to a minority candidate showing strong academic promise. Preference will be given to accounting majors.
Recipient Selection: CBA Scholarship Selection Committee with representative from Accounting Department
Retention Criteria: Must maintain 3.0 overall college GPA.
